Account Locked

I asked about the new System Integrity Protection functionality and was told that I should ask about that in the Security labs, as it wasn't a filesystem issue. That squares with other research I've been doing on System Integrity Protection, as I'm not seeing any immutable flags on files.Side note: One of the things protected by System Integrity Protection is /System/Library/CoreServices/DefaultDesktop.jpg. Also locked is /Library/Desktop Pictures/El Capitan.jpg

I have now also discovered that I am unable to send emails from my exchange/office 365 account. This is not a very good email client in its current form and will not be at all useful to anyone in the Enterprise (who will all use exchange/office 365).I suppose on the bright side it will free up a load of network bandwidth for Apple Music...

Yeah i am having the same problem.I can sign in alright on my iOS devices, but my Mac can't sign into icloud.I have experience the following instances:1) Installed 10.11 onto a machine, which didn't use my icloud account - I can't sign in (Don't have a screenshot for that)2) Upgraded a machine that was using my icloud as my account and it seems to have signed in, but then whenever I need use an app relying on it I get the following message. So far I've found that Autodiscover works better -- it actually resolves correctly for our unusual setup, and correctly prompts the user for a new/different username if provided email address / password failed.Mail correctly detects if the network is removed, and goes offline. This fixes a major Yosemite bug.The system Contacts appears to be incomplete, and doesn't do anything yet with the Exchange account or GAL. Neither Mail, Calendar nor Contacts can resolve lookups from Exchange.

There's a whole lot of bugs with this new update and from what i've seen, Apple hasn't been responding to anyone.I've seen dozens of posts on multiple sites about now being able to enroll/ reenroll in the new developer program (me included) and some people even lost access to their accounts. What's worse, in my opinion, is that Apple just has an Unknown error appear and doesn't mention a Hey we know there's a problem and we are working on it like they have done with things in the past.Another thing i've noticed is that the Follow threads or entire fourms hasn't been working whether it's just me or everyone I'm not sure.I'm not a huge fan of how the fourms now look as well. The readability of it is poor.CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THIS FOR ME:I'm not enrolled in the developer program (This apple account has never been enrolled) but I have access to every fourm and am able to comment and create new threads. Did Apple open all the fourms for everyone?

I don't know, what is in it for you to develop Safari extensions? I've met enough people who make a living writing open source software that gets given away for free.As far as I can tell, you can develop all the Safari extensions you want for free. It's 2015, if there's documentation you need, it's probably not locked into some place that only paying Developers can see it, even if that's the only place Apple puts it. But if you want to take advantage of Apple publishing your extensions someplace nice and visible, and getting a small amount of tech support from Apple, then you'll have to pay the nominal yearly fee.

Another thing Rich and I noticed is User Templates can be written to, but Wallpapers and the Default Desktop symlink are locked.

I do not know if this counts as a fix but it is a work around.I did the following:1) Change your current user account to have a password locally and unlink it from iCloud - so that all the non cloud data stays on your machine2) Create a new account with an iCloud Password3) Login to that and everything seems to work.From this point in you can copy and move files as you see fit.**The Joys of running beta's**

Have you added your free developer account in the Xcode preferences (tab accounts)?

Yes, I use this all the time on my lab machines that are locked with a firmware password. Using bless I can reboot them to netboot.

If they put in a mechanism for an SIP-protected embedded whitelist of netboot targets, modifiable during imaging or something, I could see that as an acceptable workaround in combination with locking down bless.But seriously - too many enterprises have automated boot to alternate OS servicing image/tool workflows.And MDM could trigger the reboots in an approved way with DEP - but now you're trading something you have to invest serious $$$ and time into for what bless does now.
