Autonomous Single App Mode(ASAM) in macOS
Hello I tried implementing the ASAM for macOS as per apple guidelines with configuration profile mentioned here but didn't had any success. Then Apple suggested to use requestGuidedAccessSession in macOS but that is only supported in macOS Catalyst but that also didn't work with valid config profiles too. Did anyone get success with ASAM mode without assessment entitltlement?

TestFlight access stuck on old device
Hey all — hoping someone here has dealt with this before. I’m testing an iOS app via TestFlight, and when I originally got access, I didn’t have an iPhone. So I signed in with my Apple ID on my girlfriend’s iPhone and used TestFlight there. Everything worked fine. Now I finally have my own iPhone (iPhone 16), downloaded TestFlight, signed in with the same Apple ID, and had the developer resend the invite. But when I tap "Open in TestFlight" from the invite email, I get this error: “Couldn’t load app because your Apple account has already been associated to this app.” The dev tried removing me as a tester and re-adding me, I’ve deleted TestFlight from both phones, rebooted, reinstalled, waited in between — still no luck. Even tried opening the invite link in Safari instead of Mail. Is there any way to get Apple to fully reset the association with the old device so I can use TestFlight on my new iPhone? Or do I really need to make a new Apple ID just to get around this? Any help would be huge — thanks!

guidedAccessStatusDidChangeNotification does not get called on visionOS
I am trying to get a Notification if Guided access is enabled or disabled on the VisionPro. For doing so you would normally just call: NotificationCenter.default.addObserver(forName: UIAccessibility.guidedAccessStatusDidChangeNotification, object: nil, queue: .main){ noti in print("guided access did change") } and this works fine on iOS devices. But running the exact same code in Vision os Results in not getting a notification at all, even though Guided Access gets enabled or Disabled. For testing i ran a simple default app, that works perfectly on both os types. import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { var body: some View { VStack { Image(systemName: "globe") .imageScale(.large) .foregroundStyle(.tint) Text("Hello, world!") } .onAppear{ print("is appeairng") NotificationCenter.default.addObserver(forName: UIAccessibility.guidedAccessStatusDidChangeNotification, object: nil, queue: .main){_ in print("guided access did change") } } .padding() } } But as said it prints "guided access did change on iOS" but not on the Vision Pro.

エラー 2025-08-14 11:27:06.793073 +0900 nesessionmanager NESMAppPushSession[SimplePushDefaultConfiguration:7B7218F3-94B5-4AE5-9B9E-94E176694D02] failed to report incoming call to CallKit, error: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=4099 "The connection to service named com.apple.callkit.networkextension.messagecontrollerhost was invalidated from this process." UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=The connection to service named com.apple.callkit.networkextension.messagecontrollerhost was invalidated from this process.} このエラーログが頻発した後、callkitの通知画面が表示されなくなりました。

TV Remote Application does not open
Updated to iOS 26 beta and now the TV remote app in the control center won’t open. I’ve tried the following: Restart phone Remove shortcut and re-add Cant find any other troubleshooting methods for this issue online so I’m guessing it’s a new problem.

Using Voice Control to dictate into an application without fields
Hi I'm a new Mac user having been a long time PC user and software developer. I also have a mobility impairment that has led me to try to use Voice Control as a replacement for Dragon NaturallySpeaking on my PC. I have been trying to use Parallels with a Windows 11 VM and Dragon for my remote work, but that seems to have broken when I downloaded the latest macOS beta. Ideally I'd like to use Voice Control over a VPN/Remote Desktop Connection or, in a pinch, Chrome Remote Desktop. The problem I'm running into is that macOS does not seem to recognize that I am in a text field or other control when I am in the remote application. I have a utility in Windows that will allow me to voice type into an application window even if the cursor is not over a control, but I can't seem to figure out a way to do that in macOS. Is there a way to do what I want to do? Is there a more capable voice recognition software package for macOS? I am running Sequoia 15.2 beta 3 at the moment.

ApplePay Merchant Session - Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel issue
As part of apple pay implementation we are trying to create a merchant session by trying to connect to apple endpoint https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/startSession. While trying to do so we are facing an error “An error occurred while sending the request. The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.” . I call the validation url by passing to a C# .Net Framework 4.8 Web API. The API setups an HttpClient with the Merchant Identity Validation Certificate found in my apple account and calls the validation url passing in the required Json Validation Object. When I call PostAsync() I get an exception with the above error message Code is working successfully on my local machine but facing this issue while deployed on Dev / Model environment for testing. We have used Azure app service for deployment and TLS version 1.2 already present here. We have used the Merchant Identity certificate that was issued and have also checked with networking and infrastructure team to make its not an issue from our side. Does anyone have any other idea what could be causing this error. Thank you, Supriya

VoiceOver is not respecting lang in HTML option
I have an HTML select that has Spanish text in the options. When VoiceOver reads the selected option (unopened), it switches to Spanish as expected. However, when you open the select box and browse through the options, it uses the English voice to read the Spanish text. I have tried adding lang on to the select tag and the option tag but neither helps https://codepen.io/grahamfowles/pen/VYYRxMK

Apple greets Global Accessibility Awareness Day with severe accessibility violations on macOS
I'm reposting here my FB17602742, submitted yesterday: The strong wording of this message comes from years of Apple ignoring the needs of users who can't tolerate UI animations and convulsions. At this point, it's clear that Apple is either intentionally harming users like me or simply doesn't care about meeting even the most basic accessibility standards on macOS. Yes, many UI animations and convulsions can, fortunately, be disabled - but not through straightforward UI controls. Instead, users are forced to look for obscure Terminal commands found scattered across the Internet. The "Reduce motion" checkbox in System Settings is simply a fake control that doesn't do anything - instead of actually disabling all UI animations and convulsions. What's worse, two of the most offensive UI animations cannot be disabled at all. Apple has consistently dismissed requests to let users disable the following UI animations: Scroll bar rollover highlight effect (introduced on macOS 10.7.3). Every time the cursor passes over a scroll bar, it gets highlighted. This draws the user's attention to random scroll bars for no reason - just because the cursor happened to pass over them. It results in HUNDREDS of unnecessary, annoying events of distraction daily!
Expand/collapse animation of NSOutlineView (e.g., when opening/closing folders in the list view in the Finder, or any other app using outline views). This animation is extremely distracting, irritating, and time-wasting. Global Accessibility Awareness Day is approaching. Dear Apple, Please adhere to the most basic accessibility standards. Stop the needless suffering of countless users like me. Let us disable the two aforementioned UI convulsions. Thank you for your attention to the issue.

Defining boundaries of inline dialogs for VO users
Hello, I had submitted a question to clarify which components have accessibility APIs that trigger haptics for VoiceOver users https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/773182. The question stems from perhaps a more direct question about specific components: do tablists and disclosures natively intend to include haptics or screen reader hint or other state or properties to indicate to screen reader users where the component begins or ends? In some web experiences there are screen reader hint text stating "end of..." or "entering" as a way to define the boundaries of these inline dialogs. I had asked about haptics in the prior thread because I do not recall natively implemented version of this except in some haptic cues but have not experienced them consistently so I am not sure if that is an intended native Swift implementation or perhaps something custom.

The virtual home button is not displayed in Developer Mode.
I have a question about Developer Mode on iPhone. Currently, the home button on my iPhone SE (2nd generation) is broken, so I use AssistiveTouch to display a virtual home button. However, in Developer Mode, the virtual home button does not appear, making it impossible to enable Developer Mode. Is there any way to enable Developer Mode in this situation?

Not able to receive silent pushes in background
I’ve developed the Pro Talkie app—a walkie-talkie solution designed to keep you connected with family and friends App Store: https://apps.apple.com/in/app/pro-talkie/id6742051063 Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.protalkie.app While the app works flawlessly on Android and in the foreground on iOS, I’m facing issues with establishing connections when the app is in the background or terminated on iOS. Specifically, I’ve attempted the following: Silent pushes and alert payloads: These are intended to wake the app in the background, but they often fail—notifications may not be received or can be delayed by 20–30 minutes, leading to a poor user experience. VoIP pushes: These reliably wake the app, but they trigger the incoming call UI, which isn’t suitable for a walkie-talkie app that should connect directly without displaying a call screen. I’ve enabled all the necessary background modes (audio, remote notifications, VoIP, background fetch, processing), but the challenge remains. How can I ensure a consistent background connection on iOS without triggering the call UI?

macOS avoid VoiceOver audio ducking for certain sounds
Is it possible to play certain sounds from a macOS app that remain at full volume when VoiceOver is speaking? Here's some background: I want to play sounds from my app (even when it's not in focus) to notify a VoiceOver user that an action is available (this action can be triggerred even when the app is not in focus; and is comfigurable by the user). I tired using an NSSound for this, but VoiceOver ducks the audio of my sound when it is speaking. Is there some way to avoid audio ducking for certain sounds? Or is there another, perhaps lower level, audio API that i can use to achieve this?
