Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification Issues
Hi, You're here because you've had issues with your implementation of Wallet Extensions for Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification. To prevent sending sensitive credentials in plain text, create a new report in Feedback Assistant to share the details requested below with the appropriate log profiles installed. Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification Issues While troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification, it is essential that the issuer is able to collect logs on their device and check those logs for error message. This is also essential when reporting issues to Apple. To gather the required data for your own debugging as well as reporting issues, please perform the following steps on the test device: Install the Apple Pay and Wallet profiles on your iOS or watchOS device. If the issue occurs on Mac, continue to Step 2. Reproduce the issue and make a note of the timestamp when the issue occurred, while optionally capturing screenshots or video. Gather a sysdiagnose on the same iOS or watchOS device, or on macOS. Create a Feedback Assistant report with the following information: The bundle IDs App bundle ID Non-UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable) UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable) The serial number of the device. For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > Serial Number (tap and hold to copy). For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > Serial Number. The SEID (Secure Element Identifier) of the device, represented as a HEX encoded string. For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > SEID (tap and hold to copy). For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > System Report > NVMExpress > Serial Number. The sysdiagnose gathered after reproducing the issue. The timestamp (including timezone) of when the issue was reproduced. The type of provisioning failure (e.g., error at Terms & Conditions, error when adding a card, etc.) The issuer/network/country of the provisioned card (e.g., Mastercard – US) Last 4 digits of the FPAN Last 4 digits of the DPAN (if available) Was this test initiated from the Issuer App? (e.g., yes or no) The type of environment (e.g., sandbox or production) Screenshots or videos of errors and unexpected behaviors (optional). Important: From the logs gathered above, you should be able to determine the cause of the failure from PassbookUIService, PassKit or PassKitCore, and by filtering for your SEID or bundle ID of your app or app extensions in the Console app. Submitting your feedback Before you submit to Feedback Assistant, please confirm the requested information above is included in your feedback. Failure to provide the requested information will only delay my investigation into the reported issue within your Apple Pay client. After your submission to Feedback Assistant is complete, please respond in your existing Developer Forums post with the Feedback ID. Once received, I can begin my investigation and determine if this issue is caused by an error within your client, a configuration issue within your developer account, or an underlying system bug. Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay on the Web Merchant Issues
Hi, To ensure the issue is not caused by an error within your app or web service request, please review the Apple Pay Merchant Integration Guide. Additionally, please review the following technotes on Apple Pay: TN3173: Troubleshooting issues with your Apple Pay merchant identifier configuration TN3174: Diagnosing issues with the Apple Pay payment sheet on your website TN3175: Diagnosing issues with displaying the Apple Pay button on your website TN3176: Troubleshooting Apple Pay payment processing issues If the resources above don’t help identify the cause of the error, please provide more information about your app or web services to get started. To prevent sending sensitive credentials in plain text, create a report in Feedback Assistant to share the details requested below. Additionally, if the error is something we need to investigate further, the appropriate engineering teams also have access to the same information and can communicate with you directly within Feedback Assistant for more information, as needed. Please follow the instructions below to submit your report. For issues occurring with your native app or web service, perform the following steps: Install the Apple Pay profile on your iOS or watchOS device. If the issue occurs on Mac, continue to Step 2. Reproduce the issue and make a note of the timestamp when the issue occurred, while optionally capturing screenshots or video. Gather a sysdiagnose on the same iOS or watchOS device, or on macOS. Create a Feedback Assistant report with the following information: The serial number of the device. The timestamp of when the issue was reproduced. Screenshots or videos of errors and unexpected behaviors (optional). Important: From the logs gathered above, you should be able to determine the cause of the failure from PassbookUIService, PassKit or PassKitCore, and by filtering for your SEID or merchant domain in the Safari Web Inspector. See Inspecting Safari on macOS to learn more. Submitting your feedback Before you submit to Feedback Assistant, please confirm the requested information above is included in your feedback. Failure to provide the requested information will only delay my investigation into the reported issue within your Apple Pay website. After your submission to Feedback Assistant is complete, please respond in your existing Developer Forums post with the Feedback ID. Once received, I can begin my investigation and determine if this issue is caused by an error within your web implementation, a configuration issue within your developer account, or an underlying system bug. Unable to enable Apple Pay for App Clip – “relationship 'undefined'” error when adding capability
Hey everyone, hoping someone here has run into this before. I have a fully functional App Clip (com.didyoucatchit.app.Clip) linked to my main app (com.didyoucatchit.app). The Clip builds and runs perfectly, but I’m seeing issues trying to enable Apple Pay for it. When I try to link my Merchant ID under the “On Demand Install Capable” capability in the Apple Developer portal, I get this error: A relationship in the provided entity is not allowed for this request. The relationship 'undefined' can not be included in a 'bundleIdCapabilities' request. Here’s what I have already configured and confirmed: App Clip capabilities in Xcode include: Apple Pay Payment Processing Associated Domains (appclips:app.didyoucatchit.com) Provisioning profile includes: Apple Pay Payment Processing Associated Domains In-App Purchase On-Demand Install Capable Entitlements file for the Clip: <key>com.apple.developer.associated-domains</key> <array> <string>appclips:app.didyoucatchit.com</string> </array> <key>com.apple.developer.in-app-payments</key> <array> <string>merchant.com.didyoucatchit.app</string> </array> <key>com.apple.developer.parent-application-identifiers</key> <array> <string>$(AppIdentifierPrefix)com.didyoucatchit.app</string> </array> Merchant ID (merchant.com.didyoucatchit.app) is active and connected to Stripe Stripe Apple Pay configuration matches the same merchant ID and certificate Both provisioning profiles have been refreshed and downloaded However: The portal still throws the “relationship 'undefined'” error anytime I try to modify the Clip’s capabilities In testing, Apple Pay doesn’t show up as a payment option in the Clip (using Stripe’s Payment Element integration) Questions: Is this a known issue with the Developer portal when linking App Clips to merchant IDs? Is there a specific way to re-establish the parent–child relationship between the main app and the App Clip so the bundleIdCapabilities request includes the proper relationship JSON? Are there any additional configuration steps required when using Stripe for Apple Pay inside an App Clip? System Setup: Xcode: 16.2 (build 16C5032a) macOS: Sequoia 15.3.1 iOS: 18.5 (testing on physical device) Merchant ID: merchant.com.didyoucatchit.app Main App ID: com.didyoucatchit.app App Clip ID: com.didyoucatchit.app.Clip Any help or insight would be hugely appreciated Thanks in advance!

mFi - WPC certification support
I am trying to get a pass reader certified through the mFi / WPC certification process. The problem I have is that the Certifier app will not allow testing results to be submitted due to some missing information. I need support to discuss the missing information, but I have received no replies from the email provided for WPC Certification Representative. Does anyone here know how to get support for the WPC Certification process?

Apple Pay on the Web Merchant Validation Intermittent 403 Forbidden
We are experiencing intermittent 403 Forbidden errors during Apple Pay on web merchant validation in our production and sandbox environment. Has anyone else started seeing 403 Forbidden errors recently (since mid-2025)? Why would merchant validation be sometimes successful and sometimes fail with 403? Could this be related to new Apple Pay gateway changes or stricter validation rules? Any additional debug steps or permanent solutions we should try? Thank you.

Extension merchant sertificate
Hi. I am writing to request clarification regarding the renewal period of the merchant certificate. According to the documentation, Apple issues merchant certificates for 25 months, and this has been the case for several years. However, in the past six months, the issued certificates have been valid for only 3 months, which causes significant inconvenience. I have reviewed the documentation again and contacted support, but I was only referred back to the same information stating that the certificate should be valid for 25 months. Could you please clarify whether there have been any recent changes to the renewal policy? Additionally, is there a way to extend the certificate's validity to the expected 25-month period? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

Accessing Full Apple Pay Transaction Data in AppIntents
I'm currently working on an AppIntent in my app to import Apple Pay transactions via Transaction triggers in Shortcuts. While I can access the transaction name with the following code: @Parameter(title: "Transaction") var transaction: String I'm not sure how to retrieve the full details of the transaction, including: Card or Pass Merchant Amount Name At the moment, transaction only provides the name as a string, but I need access to the complete transaction data. I know that by selecting specific fields like Amount, Merchant, etc., I can retrieve each piece of data individually, but it would be much easier and more user-friendly to simply retrieve the entire transaction object at once. Has anyone successfully retrieved all details of an Apple Pay transaction in this context, and if so, could you share how to do so?

Apple Pay: Renewal of Domains fails and get redirected to main page without errors
Hello, we are trying to extend the dates of verified domains following the docs of https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepayontheweb/maintaining-your-environment#Renew-Your-Domain-Verification and configured the server following https://developer.apple.com/documentation/ApplePayontheWeb/setting-up-your-server we've download the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt and update them on their respective locations, click 'ok' button and we get redirected to the main page of the merchant certificate, but the expiration dates have not been extended, we can see on our web crawler that Apple Requested the file and it return a 200. No popup errors are shown, no console developer error we only get redirected to the merchant certificate information page.

PKAddPaymentPassError
please bear with me, i am NOT a developer. we have third party developer creating a banking app that is throwing an error when trying to provision MasterCard for Apple Pay. MasterCard says they do not see the request come in at all. our developer says the issue is between mastercard and apple - and asked us to reach out to Apple. Information provided from our developer: “Error code 2 is 'system cancelled' from the PKAddPaymentPassError enum. Basically, there is an issue between Apple and Mastercard (using the encrypted card info from...” Response from Mastercard Connect: Upon further research with the examples you shared we are not seeing any attempt that reached to MC

Payment Services Exception Unauthorized
We’re attempting to call the Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration API using our Platform Integrator flow and consistently receive 401 Unauthorized, despite successful TLS/mTLS. Details: Endpoint: https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant (POST) Payload: { "domainNames": ["breakerfy.com"], "encryptTo": "platformintegrator.ai.packman", "partnerInternalMerchantIdentifier": "merchant.ai.packman.1", "partnerMerchantName": "breakerfy", "merchantUrl": "https://breakerfy.com" } Domain association: URL: https://breakerfy.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association What we tried: We created a Payment Platform Integrator ID (platformintegrator.ai.packman) We created a CertificateSigningRequest We used the certificate signing request to create an Apple Pay Platform Integrator Identity Certificate and downloaded the signed certificate. We exported the Private Key from keychain access in PKCS 12 format We converted both the private key and the signed certificate to PEM format We created a merchant id We used the converted keys to send requests to the API We received { "statusMessage": "Payment Services Exception Unauthorized", "statusCode": "401" } we also tried curl with the original p12 file and also had no luck. What could be the issue ?

Apple Pay
We are an acquirer/payment provider offering Apple Pay. Our merchants use our hosted checkout to accept payments. After a user pays with Apple Pay on our checkout, the Wallet transaction record shows our checkout domain as the payee. We would like it to display the merchant’s brand/name so users can recognize or contact the merchant. Is there any parameter or configuration that controls what Wallet shows as the payee? For example, can this be set via a specific field/parameter, or is it strictly derived from the Merchant ID’s display name (or other Apple Pay configuration)? What is the correct approach for a PSP/acquirer to have the merchant’s brand shown in Wallet transaction record? Additional detail: The field in question is the merchant/payee name shown in the Apple Wallet receipt—directly under the transaction amount at the top of the receipt, and again beneath the “Total” line.

Determining which Apple Pay token is completing activation when issuer app is launched from Wallet
Hi, we are implementing ID&V and there is a requirement regarding the flow for Apple Pay. In order to clarify the case I will describe the use case scenario or steps to reproduce first: add a card to the iPhone wallet app (yellow path verification required). Do not complete the ID&V process. add a card to the Watch via the Wallet inside the iPhone Watch app (yellow path verification required). Same as before, do not complete the ID&V complete ID&V process using the Issuer App either from iPhone or Watch. the Issuer app receives the application:openURL:options: callback on its AppDelegate. In the options dictionary, we can not see the UIApplicationOpenURLOptionsSourceApplicationKey populated (it is nil). At this moment, for the card we are adding there are now two tokens, both to be verified via ID&V process. One is on the iPhone and one is on the Apple Watch associated with the same iPhone. The url received at step 4 contains the serial number which identifies the digitized card and matches with both the tokens in the iPhone and in the Apple Watch. We need something to detect programmatically if the digitization process started from the iPhone Wallet app or from the wallet inside the Watch app. Could you please help us to identify how we could discriminate if the ID&V process has been started for the iPhone token or for the Apple Watch token? Thanks

Apple Pay button not clickable in Safari for some users
Hello, We’re seeing an issue where the Apple Pay button is visible in Safari but not clickable for certain users, while it works normally for others. This happens on our site (https://store-qa2.enphase.com/ ) as well as on other sites for the same affected users. Currently, we display the Apple Pay button based on the following condition: Boolean(window.ApplePaySession) && ApplePaySession.canMakePayments(); For affected users, the button shows up as expected, but it’s not interactive. All users (both affected and unaffected) are on the latest versions of Safari and macOS/iOS. Could someone clarify what additional conditions Safari/Apple Pay requires for the button to be fully functional? And under what circumstances could it be visible but not clickable?

cybersource Payment Gateway not able to decrypt paymenttoken
Cybersource production support has clarified issue as below "On the BAD Case, it seems that the Apple Payload did not contain the "onlinePaymentCryptogram" object within the JSON. The Cryptogram is critical and mandatory. Since the merchant cannot really control this, and since CYBS is just decrypting the payload and uses it, we cannot comment as to why it was missing. The merchant would need to reach out to Apple and/or decrypt the payment themselves locally to check if and why this data was not present, for troubleshooting purposes."
