Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Tap to Pay on iPhone
While troubleshooting Tap to Pay on iPhone, it is essential that the developer is able to collect logs on their device and check those logs for error messages. This is also essential when reporting issues to Apple. To gather the required data for your own debugging as well as reporting issues, please perform the following steps on the test device: Install the Tap to Pay profile on your iPhone. Reproduce the issue and make a note of the timestamp when the issue occurred, while optionally capturing screenshots or video. Gather a sysdiagnose on the same iPhone. Create a Feedback Assistant report with the following information: The bundle ID The serial number of the device. For iOS, open Settings > General > About (tap and hold to copy). The SEID (Secure Element Identifier) of the device, represented as a HEX encoded string. For iOS, open Settings > General > About > SEID (tap and hold to copy). The sysdiagnose gathered after reproducing the issue. The timestamp (including timezone) of when the issue was reproduced. Screenshots or videos of errors and unexpected behaviors (optional). Submitting Your Feedback After your submission to Feedback Assistant is complete, please respond to your post with the Feedback ID. Once received, I can begin my investigation and determine if this issue is caused by an error within your app, a configuration issue within your developer account, app configuration, or an underlying system bug. Apple Inapp payement response handling
i'm integrating In-App Purchases in our Flutter app using the official in_app_purchase plugin. We are currently testing consumable purchases and facing issues with the way events are delivered from StoreKit to the app. Implementation details I initiate the purchase with: await InAppPurchase.instance.buyConsumable(purchaseParam: purchaseParam); I listen for purchase updates with: final Stream<List> purchaseUpdated = inAppPurchase.purchaseStream; _subscription = purchaseUpdated.listen((purchaseDetailsList) { _handlePurchaseUpdates(purchaseDetailsList); }, onError: (Object error) { updateApplePaymentStatus(isSuccess: false, response: jsonEncode(error.toString())); }, onDone: () { _subscription.cancel(); }); Issues Observed Control on purchase button event As soon as the user taps the purchase button, the App Store purchase sheet is shown. Question: Is there a way to intercept control at this point (before showing the sheet) to perform additional checks or logging? Cancelled payment after UPI intent In our testing with UPI payment flows (UPI intent triggered from Apple Pay/linked payment method), if the user cancels the payment from the external flow, we don’t see a clear event in purchaseStream. Question: How can we reliably capture this cancellation status on the app side? Event timing after successful purchase Currently, the purchaseStream event is only triggered after the StoreKit purchase confirmation popup has been dismissed by the user. Question: Is there a way to capture the event earlier (i.e., right after StoreKit confirms payment success), so we can update our backend and UI without waiting for popup dismissal? Request We would appreciate guidance on: Best practices for intercepting purchase initiation before the StoreKit sheet. Recommended way to detect and handle cancelled payments (especially in UPI flows) managed on frondend side. Whether it is possible to receive successful purchase events without waiting for the user to dismiss the confirmation dialog. Thank you for your support.

Issue with Apple Pay Integration in WKWebView
Hello, We are experiencing an issue with Apple Pay integration in our application. We are using WKWebView to handle various payment methods, but we are unable to complete payments via Apple Pay. Upon debugging the WKWebView, we received the following error message: "400 No required SSL certificate was sent" when attempting to process the payment. Currently, we are using a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate. Could you please confirm whether this certificate is suitable for Apple Pay, or if we should be using a different SSL certificate?

Hi all, I am hope someone could assist me with the below error if you ever ran into this during Tap-to-Pay functionality integration on iOS/iPadOS devices. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Govardhan.

Tap to Pay entitlement stuck in development for nearly 1.5 months – do I need to resubmit?
Hi everyone, we’ve been waiting since May 30 for our Tap to Pay on iPhone entitlement to be enabled for distribution, but it’s still only active for development (Case‑ID: 14485444). We submitted: A new video recorded from an external device showing the full checkout flow Updated merchant education using the ProximityReaderDiscovery.Topic.payment(.howToTap) API, as suggested by Apple The team initially said the education was compliant, then said it wasn’t. We fixed everything, sent the updated materials, and haven’t heard back in days. We can’t even upload the app to TestFlight because of this error: Profile doesn't include the com.apple.developer.proximity-reader.payment.acceptance entitlement It’s now been almost a month and a half, and this delay is becoming critical. It’s blocking both internal testing and our production release. We’d really appreciate clarity on: Do we need to submit another request via the form? Or is it enough to reply to the existing email thread? Also, are there any direct contacts or escalation paths we can use? Any help or guidance appreciated

Tap to Pay on iPhone - Distribution Provisioning Profile Issue
Hi guys, I'm trying to upload my app with Tap to Pay on iPhone functionality. However, I'm getting error message "Profile doesn't include com.apple.developer.proximity-reader.payment.acceptance entitlement." I've confirmed many times that I have the distribution profile with this capability. Any idea what might be the issue? The development environment works perfectly.

Resolving Tap to Pay on iPhone errors when building for App Store or TestFlight distribution
If your developer team has been approved to implement Tap to Pay on iPhone, you were granted a managed entitlement configured only for the Development distribution type. When compiling your project for any other distribution type, such as App Store or Ad hoc, the build with fail with errors. You can resolve these errors by contacting the initial provisioning team and asking for production distribution review/validation. For more information on requesting the Tap to Pay on iPhone entitlement, see the documentation below: Setting up Tap to Pay on iPhone https://developer.apple.com/documentation/proximityreader/setting-up-the-entitlement-for-tap-to-pay-on-iphone To request for permission for the App Store and Ad hoc distribution types, please respond to the confirmation email received after your initial entitlement request. The provisioning team will provide the next steps to begin the public distribution review process and eventually approve your app for distribution via TestFlight and the App Store. Note: The only team that manages this entitlement is the same provisioning team that granted you access, so you'll need to follow-up with the same team that approved your initial request to resolve this compilation and archival issue. Once you're approved for App Store distribution, the same steps used to distribute your app via TestFlight will be successful. If you continue to have errors after confirming you've been granted the App Store distribution type for your app configuration, please see the post below, then create a new post for your issue and mention your Feedback ID after following the steps: Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Tap to Pay on iPhone https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/775784 Cheers, Paris X Pinkney |  WWDR | DTS Engineer

Can't publish to Testflight with Tap to Pay on iPhone entitlement despite it being granted
Hello, I went through the verification process to get the Tap to Pay on iPhone entitlement, and after a couple of corrections I was finally assured that I was granted the entitlement for production use. However, in App Store Connect, I can only see "Development" for "Provisioning Support" of the entitlement, and I'm not able to publish the app to Testflight because the profile doesn't support the entitlement (I'm using automatic code signing with XCode). Where is this going wrong? The Tap to Pay support assured me they granted the right entitlement and pointed me to the developer support. Thank you, Johannes

Steps to become a Payment Service Provider
Hi, I'm inquiring about becoming a Payment Service Provider (PSP) by Apple, in order to recieve encrypted tokens from our merchants and decrypt them on our payment gateway PCI Complient server. I've gone through your developers api documents and could not find follow through process. What I understand that - Organization must be enrolled in the Apple Developer program ($99/year): https://developer.apple.com/programs/enroll/ Create your unique Apple Pay merchant ID Sign in the Apple Developer and fill out the submission form (https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/apple-pay-web-merchant-registration-api) to request access to the API Set up your Payment Processing Certificate and Merchant Identity Certificate But the above steps does not talk about - How we need to decrypt apple pay token on our server Validate/Authenticate the token Send response back to merchant Any additional steps that I missed ? You help is much appreciated. Thanks

PKPassKitErrorDomain Code 2
We have integrated the card provisioning in Apple wallet for quite sometime now through an external processor and we got the App Entitlement for the same. Now we are building the card provisioning in Apple Wallet flow in our app. Though everything seems to work fine (including issuer certificates, nonce etc.) but when we are clicking on ADD button on card details screen, I am getting an error saying "Could Not Add Card". When I inspect the error from didFinishAddingPaymentPass, it reads "The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKPassKitErrorDomain error 2.)". Though the Apple documentation suggests it as an unsupportedVersionError but it does not say anything beyond that. I want more detailed explanation because of which I am getting this error

IOs App In App Fees
Hi, We have built a Web App that allows small clubs (such as gymnastics or cheerleading clubs) to manage their members, maintain a small store and allows members to subscribe to and pay for courses, classes and other such in-person events. We are starting to build an IOs App that will allow Club Members to book and pay for in-person events and buy physical items from a Club's online store (such as uniforms etc.). We would like to use Stripe to take payments from within the app. The app itself will be free. I want to be sure about the rules around In App purchases, more specifically the fees for taking such payments. If Clubs have to pay Apple's 30% payment fees for In App purchases, it makes payment through the IOs apps not viable. Can anyone confirm that this app would be allowed to use Stripe for payments and not have to use StoreKit? Also that this app would not be subject to the 30% fees for purchases of in-person events and physical products?

Shortcuts | Transaction Automation | IOS 18
Hello forum, Hope all is great! I have a shortcut automation which uses the transaction trigger. Since updating to ios 18 the transaction trigger does not work anymore. Whenever a transaction is done, the “Running your automation” notification does not show up and the automation does not work. To share with you the steps I’ve done so far: 1.Remove the automation and do it again 2.Remove the card from apple pay 3. Delete and install again the shortcut app 4. Turned on and off the phone I can confirm the automation works on my other iPhone with the latest version of IOS 17. Would really appreciate if anyone has any insights about that, or if this happened to you as well. Cheers! Dorin

Apple Pay Test Environment - The Right Way
Hi team, We were wondering what's the correct way of configuring a test environment with Apple Pay. Not sure if this is explicitly mentioned in the documentation, but in order to avoid having the same certificates shared between test and production, should we have a different merchant identifier (and pair of certificates) for test purposes only? The above is the main question. However, two follow up questions: Do you know if payment processors usually allow the merchant ID to be configured, so that only payments generated with the prod certificates can be accepted? Is there any risk of someone getting hold of the certificates generated for the test environment (which are usually less safe than production) and using that to process payments in production?

Accessing Full Apple Pay Transaction Data in AppIntents
I'm currently working on an AppIntent in my app to import Apple Pay transactions via Transaction triggers in Shortcuts. While I can access the transaction name with the following code: @Parameter(title: "Transaction") var transaction: String I'm not sure how to retrieve the full details of the transaction, including: Card or Pass Merchant Amount Name At the moment, transaction only provides the name as a string, but I need access to the complete transaction data. I know that by selecting specific fields like Amount, Merchant, etc., I can retrieve each piece of data individually, but it would be much easier and more user-friendly to simply retrieve the entire transaction object at once. Has anyone successfully retrieved all details of an Apple Pay transaction in this context, and if so, could you share how to do so?
