Hello,
We have two chat applications that are based on the same source code but are owned by different individuals. These apps have distinct names, color themes, and user bases, although they share the same underlying source code. Both apps were uploaded to the App Store over three years ago. However, when we attempted to update one of the apps recently, it was rejected for violating Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. The rejection message stated:
"We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps."
We are seeking guidance on how to obtain approval for this update. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I was submit my application on 7 Mar 2024. After that I got rejected on 8 Mar 2024. I fixed and and ask for review again. But until now I still not see any response from Apple. I was contact support via email but they say "need more time for review". I was cancel the submission and submit again on 8 April but still got nothing. The app still "In Review". Does anyone has any idea? :(
Is it normal to have an app in Review for 6 days?
Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats
The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles Sistema da Prefeitura without the necessary authorization.
Next Steps
Please demonstrate your relationship with any third-party brand owners represented in the app.
Pegamos com a prefeitura um documento assinado digitalmente informando que somos os responsáveis pelos sistemas deles, autorizando tudo etc...
Fizemos um novo envio para revisão. Porém, agora foi rejeitado com:
Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
The app must be published under a seller and company name that is associated with the organization or company providing the services. In this case, the app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the MUNICÍPIO DE *** name.
The guideline 5.1.1(ix) requirements give users confidence that apps operating in highly regulated fields or that require sensitive user information are qualified to provide these services and will responsibly manage their data.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, it would be appropriate to take the following steps:
The app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the MUNICÍPIO DE *** name. If you have developed this app on behalf of a client, you may resubmit the app through their account, if they have one. You may also request an update to the company name on your account by having the Account Holder edit the account information.
Please note that you cannot resolve this issue with documentation showing permission to publish this app on behalf of the content owner or institution.
I added this file as Apple requested due to my app using UserDefaults, but it still complains when I upload it.
This is the message:

I submitted my app to the App Store, but it keeps getting rejected based on the following issue:
Guideline 5.1.2(i) - Legal - Privacy - Data Use and Sharing
The primary purpose of the app is to encourage users to perform digital tasks in exchange for compensation, watch ads and/or perform other marketing-oriented tasks, which is not appropriate.
Next Steps
Review the app concept and incorporate different content and features.

Learn more about these requirements in guideline 5.1.2.

Hi,
I submitted my app, for the first time, the 2024-02-29.
the same day I received this message:
Hello, Thank you for submitting your app for review. We need additional time to evaluate your submission and Apple Developer Program account. Your submission status will appear as "Rejected" in App Store Connect while we investigate. However, we do not require a revised binary or additional information from you at this time.……
Since that I’ve no news from the app review team and no answer neither online in the appstoreconnect.
Does anyone know what can I do? Is there any possibility to know what is going on or what is taking so long ?
Thanks in advance.
Fabio
Your app still provide informations and sells products not produced by Apple.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, please revise your app to include content that is relevant to App Store users.
My app is designed for comparing prices of Xbox games. It features a list of games, each accompanied by a 'Show in Store' button that directs users to the Xbox Store via Safari. The details page includes the title, description, cover image, and price list of each game
what should i do ?
my app stucks in review from last 10 days
Apple Rejection as Follows
The app must be published under a seller and company name that is associated with the organization or company providing the services. In this case, the app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the OrthoCare Institute name.
The guideline 5.1.1(ix) requirements give users confidence that apps operating in highly regulated fields or that require sensitive user information are qualified to provide these services and will responsibly manage their data.
Next Steps from Apple
The app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the OrthoCare Institute name.
Apple Developer account :-
Company Name: Everglade Orthopedic
Enrolled as Organization
My app has OrthoCare Institute Name used in App icon, Splash screen and Landing page.
I would like to know only by creating a new developer account with OrthoCare Institute as company name i will be able to publish. Since we have a ongoing business with Everglade Orthopedic.
I have removed institute name from OrthoCare and then sent for review again and it got approved. This does not solve the problem for us, since we want to use
OrthoCare Institute.
Note: All names and institutional references used in this communication, including "OrthoCare Institute" and "Everglade Orthopedic," are pseudonyms intended for illustrative purposes only.
Hello, sorry. I'm not sure if this is the right channel, but I'm desperately trying to get some movement in the app review process. I'm still stuck on 'waiting for review.' I submitted my app for review a second time on March 22nd, after having already submitted the same app on March 2nd. Since then, it has been in the 'waiting for review' status. I've called the support in Germany five times, and each time, I receive the same response:
'It should only take 24 hours.'
'We can only forward it.'
'If you don't receive a response in two days or get an email, please contact us again.'
Is there any way to get a more concrete answer than 'it should only take 24 hours'?
Thank you very much.
I usually get my app reviewed within 12 hours, but this time I submitted a new version on March 26th, and it's still under review as of April 10th, with no feedback. I've sent two emails to Support, but they've been of no help. What should I do?
Our application was already on the app store before, we did not change the app icon from the first time our application was approved to the app store in 2017.But recently when I submit application to app store, we received this reject message:
"Guideline 4.3 - Design
We noticed that your app icon is still identical to the icons of other apps already submitted to the App Store.
Apps that use the same icon make it difficult for users to find apps and are considered a form of spam."
We need help.
Thanks
I have written Almost 3 emails to apple support about 1 week ago but no reply . Please tell me how to complete Digital Service Act it is in review and link for submitting documents gets expired . Without this i can't publish my app in EU!!
I released an app last year. For months I was able to send updates and get approved with fairly little friction. Mar 12, 2024 I submitted a build that got rejected. I made subsequent fixes and submissions that were rejected again the following day, twice on the 14th, and the 16th. Most of all the rejections were inaccurate metadata and minimum functionality. Which is odd because the app has existed virtually the same way since last year, when getting approved was not a problem. The only difference as of recent is we've had a tiktok go viral and led the app to start charting.
On the 17th I made a submission that fulfilled all requirements. I was marked "In Review" from the 17th to the 23rd. Yes a full week. I canceled my submission on the 7th day and resubmitted with a change I thought they'd potentially look for. It has been "Waiting for Review" since then. Going on 14 days.
I contact support every 3 days however they've only responded once, saying they are "proceeding with an expedited review" however it's never shifted to in review. I'm really hoping someone at apple can intervene and help break through, or if anyone that has had a similar experience share some advice.

Hello. I remember seeing the recommendation to avoid app forced termination in the HIG or App Store Review Guidelines, but I can't find it now. Could you please provide information on this topic?
Hi
I wrote an app to control my garage door and the light inside the garage using ESP8266.
Apple has rejected my app regaridng Guideline 5.2.1 - Legal - Intellectual Property, i couldn't get enough information from the app reviewer whether i should apply a patent for my app to show it's mine or get a letter from the ESP8266 manufacturer that i can use their product with my app.
The warning below to me.

Next Steps
To resolve this issue, please attach documentary evidence in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect. Once we have reviewed your documentation and confirmed its validity, we will proceed with the review of your app.
Alternatively, please remove the third-party content from your app and its metadata.
can anyone help me on this ?
Thanks in advance

I have submitted my app for review which required login with OTP. Registered mobile no can login in app. These mobile numbers are uploaded on server using CSV by our third party client for whom we have designed this app. Is account deletion option is required? If not then how to reply this to App Review Team.
