prorated refund and upgrade of tier
Hi all, I'm encountering an issue with auto-renewable subscription upgrades in the App Store. Here's my setup: Context: Plan A: Base Plan (yearly auto-renewable subscription) Plan B: Pro Plan (monthly auto-renewable subscription) B is configured as an upgrade from A. Issue: When a user with an active Plan A subscription upgrades to Plan B, I correctly receive an App Store Server Notification v2 with DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_PREF and UPGRADE subtype. According to Apple's documentation, a prorated refund is issued automatically in this scenario, and no separate REFUND event is sent, the refund information should be retrievable through the upgrade event itself. Testing in Sandbox: In my sandbox tests, Plan A has a 1-hour duration and Plan B has a 5-minute duration. After the user upgrades to Plan B, I immediately cancel the subscription to prevent auto-renewal. Expected vs. Actual Behavior: After the 5 minutes expire, Plan A still appears as the active current entitlement. I initially thought this might be because the prorated refund hadn't been processed yet. However, even after waiting the full hour (the original duration of Plan A), it continues to show as an active entitlement—which shouldn't be the case. As a result, when I attempt to restore purchases, Plan A is still identified as valid and the subscription gets reactivated. Question: Is this behavior expected in the sandbox environment, or am I missing something in how the prorated refund and entitlement expiration should be handled?

How to quickly trigger background backup in iOS 26.1
I'm developing a new feature for iOS 26.1 to upload photos in the background, but I'm finding it difficult to trigger background upload tasks efficiently. Are there any methods to quickly force the device to execute background backup tasks? Additionally, I've already completed backups, but when using the API: (PHFetchResult<PHAssetResourceUploadJob *> *)fetchJobsWithAction:(PHAssetResourceUploadJobAction)action options:(nullable PHFetchOptions *)options NS_SWIFT_NAME(fetchJobs(action:options:)); I frequently get no results—neither successful nor failed jobs—and I'm unable to retrieve pending UploadJobs. Could the Apple development team improve these functionalities and provide a debugging method to quickly trigger background backup tasks? Thanks.

How to design a simple app with BLE ?
I need to design an iOS app but have no experience (I only know embedded C). The app should be fairly simple, it just needs to create a binary file based on options (enable/disable) and then send that binary file using BLE. I already have a Python script which runs on Windows/Mac that generates the binary file and sends the binary file over BLE. But now I need to get this working on an iOS app. I can connect to the bluetooth receiver (BT401) using the Lightblue app to send and receive commands via UART pass through. A similar app already exists (VOG-Altimeter) where altitudes are enabled/disabled.... I need to do the same sort of thing and once the settings have been made, generate the binary file and send it via BLE. So the steps are: Create a bluetooth connection (to the BT401) like the LIghtblue app does Create a binary file based on the settings like I currently do with the Python script Send the binary file via BLE connection (to the BT401) like I currently do with the Python script. I already have this working with the Python script, but don't know how to develop an app to do the same. Can anyone help or give me pointers on how to proceed ? I tried ChatGPT but it couldn't even get the BLE connection to work.

Speed AppleTV > Distorted HomePod Audio
Hey everyone. Ever since installed OS26 (and 26.1 now) - whenever I fast play any video on 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x on the AppleTV - the audio gets massively distorted on HomePods. Be it on YouTube, Difuse, or any supporting app. I even tried mirroring from iPhone -same issue. Anyone else experiencing the same? I noticed no posts about troubleshooting.

iOS 26.3 failed update…. Help
Hello even after factory reset I’m still facing issue getting update 26.2 and 26.3 beta cant get anything to update and install. Ran diagnostics and shows issue with current software outdated And hardware issue. I’ll attach screenshots for reference. Also have seceral case ID #’s if needed. Anyone able to provide a solid solution for this or is it a phone issue.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Cannot install iOS 26 Developer Beta Updates OTA or IPSW
I’m a registered iOS developer, and I’ve been facing an issue with installing iOS developer updates for the past couple of years. I can download the updates, but they get stuck at 99.9% complete and don’t finish. I’ve tried following the instructions to force restart the phone, but it stays on the Apple logo screen until it dies. I’m able to update official iOS updates, but not the beta ones. To update, I have to put the phone in DFU mode and install the update that way. This is frustrating and causes issues with making timely updates to my app and diagnosing new issues during testing. I’d like to request that Apple look into this issue and find a solution. For reference, I’ve installed a barebones installation with no new apps, and this problem persists. I would like to have a resolution that allows me to update normally without having to DFU the phone every time.

iOS 26.2: Deleted images and video reappear in camera roll
When I delete an image from my camera roll, my iPhone adds another previously deleted image to my camera roll. This previously deleted image or video is from up to 3 years ago, and isn't in my recently deleted. Therefore, these added images should technically not exist. I am using an iPhone 12 running iOS 26 public beta, but apparently this issue is happening on iOS 18 too. I feel worried that an image/video that I deleted for privacy reasons may appear back in my camera roll. I'll add that I am paying for iCloud+ storage, and I still have 15GB of local storage left on my device.

Hello! I’ve been trying to log in to my iCloud account, but I haven’t been able to access it. A message pops up saying, 'Couldn’t communicate with the server.' Additionally, I can’t update my phone to the latest iOS version. Please, how can I resolve this?

Can Critical Alerts Trigger Text-to-Speech and Vibration in Background & Terminated State?
Hello All, I want to implement Text-to-Speech (TTS) and vibration functionality when a push notification arrives. In my app, I am already using Critical Alerts, and the critical alert sound plays correctly in all app states. However, I need to confirm whether it is possible to trigger Text-to-Speech and custom vibration in all app states: Foreground Background Terminated (killed) state My Questions: Is it technically possible for iOS to run Text-to-Speech (using AVSpeechSynthesizer) when a critical alert notification arrives in background or terminated state? Is it possible to trigger custom vibration patterns from a critical alert when the app is not running? If yes, can someone please provide guidance or sample code on how to implement this? If no, can Apple explain the limitation or provide documentation confirming that TTS and vibration cannot be triggered in background/kill states? What works currently: TTS and vibration only work in foreground when the app is active. Critical alert sound works correctly in all states. I want confirmation on whether iOS supports background/terminated TTS and vibration, or if this is a platform restriction even when using Critical Alerts. Thank you!

Running VM count does not correctly decrement
Not sure if this has been reported or not. I have found with several virtualization applications a bug in the running VM counter. After running multiple macOS vms or when shutting down and bringing up one macOS vm multiple times you will get the error that too many vm's are running. Even though all of them are shutdown and the applications closed at the time. The only solution I have found is to reboot the computer. This started with macOS Tahoe 26 and so far has remained through 26.1. Hopefully reported and fixed in 26.2.

403 request for get playlists
I am developing a SWIFITUI app that transfers playlists between Apple Music and Spotify but I am not directly create my requests to those companies APIs. I have my own backend. But when fetching users playlists due to "https://api.music.apple.com/v1/me/library/playlists" the response is 403 all the time. I tried many ways including creating new DevToken and UserToken when user login and sending those tokens in headers with Authorization and Music-User-Token. What else can be the problem? Note: My team ids in Xcode and apple developer portal seems different. Maybe this is the problem.

WKWebview returns an 'unsupported type' error on every single function after first success while other webview works flawlessly.
I'm working on a SwiftUI application that uses a couple different webviews in a tabview to render some mdx and codemirror editor. The editor webview, the one that's much more complicated works as expected. Some errors appear in the console due to what I imagine is a race condition that I'll get around to fixing, but it works as expected. The other webview which just renders a single, local html file to display a dead simple summary absolutely refuses to work. It first appears to work as expected (shows the same 'return type unsupported' error in the console though) on the initial request, but then refuses to process any JS functions for that particular webview. Even the functions themselves are being used between the two webviews, and they work as expected in the other. Even worse, when I copy and paste the generated JS code into the safari dev tools it works as expected, even in the broken webview. I've spent almost 12 hours on this today so far, and have made zero progress. I've tried commenting out just about the entire website to narrow it down on the JS side without success, and I've done everything I can think of on the swift side. To be transparent, I'm very new to Swift and SwiftUI, having only picked it up a few weeks ago, but I'm an experienced developer and every obvious solution fails to work. From what I've gathered, this might have something to do with the first function call failing, despite the fact that it appears to work on the first function call, but then the javascript engine refusing to process additional requests. I'm not sure if that's the cause, but it certainly seems to make sense. Is there a way to debug this more completely? What would trigger a security warning for running javascript against a local file? Any help is greatly appreciated... this is driving me crazy.

System Freezes in 2048-Style Games on iOS 26.2 Beta
On the latest iOS 26.2 betas I’ve noticed a consistent bug across every 2048-type number-merge game I’ve tested. At some point during gameplay the app freezes and the entire system becomes unresponsive for a few seconds. When control returns, the game is still stuck, looping its selection animation until it’s force-closed. Frame-rate limits and reduced-transparency settings don’t solve it. Is anyone else seeing similar behavior?
