Xcode 26 doesn’t recognize ChatGPT Plus subscription and triggers free daily limit
Hi everyone, Since updating to Xcode 26, I’ve been running into an issue with the new ChatGPT integration inside Xcode. Even though I have an active ChatGPT Plus subscription (GPT-4 or GPT-5) and I’m signed in to my OpenAI account, Xcode doesn’t seem to recognize my paid plan. After reaching the free usage limit, I get the following message: “Over daily limit. ChatGPT in Xcode will be unavailable for up to 24 hours. For higher limits, sign in with a paid ChatGPT account or upgrade to ChatGPT Plus.” The issue is that I am already logged in with my ChatGPT Plus account, and everything works fine on the ChatGPT web app — but inside Xcode, it keeps treating me as a free user. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: • Signing out and back into ChatGPT from within Xcode • Restarting Xcode and macOS • Verifying that I’m logged in to ChatGPT in Safari • Updating both macOS and Xcode to the latest versions None of these steps have resolved the issue. It seems like Xcode isn’t syncing properly with OpenAI authentication, and therefore it applies the free-tier limits even for paid accounts. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there any way to force Xcode to reauthenticate with OpenAI or link it properly to a ChatGPT Plus account? System setup: • Mac mini (Apple M2, 16 GB RAM) • macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 • Xcode Version 26.0.1 (17A400) Here’s the error message I’m seeing:

How to handle autogenerated files in XCode
Hi, It seems that the files that are added to a targets compilation list cannot be hardcoded. If the file doesn't exist in the file system then it cannot be added to the compilation list. If this is true then how are autogenerated files handled in Xcode. I want to autogenerate some code but since I can't add those files in to the project, the first compilation (that generates those files) always fails. This is especially problem in CI. How is I should handle this in Xcode

SceneDelegate methods are not called
SceneDelegate's sceneWillEnterForeground and sceneDidEnterBackground methods are not called when app is moved to the background and back. It happens when Stage Manager is enabled and application is moved to the background using App Switcher (double tap on the home button). Otherwise methods are called. Started to reproduce since iOS26. Is not reproducible on iOS18.

Icon Composer icon changes font (!) in output
Hi, I'm experiencing a super weird and unexpected issue using Icon Composer (Version 1.0 (40)) and Xcode 26 beta 7. I have an icon that includes some minimal text in the icon, as part of the branding of the app. The text is an SVG layer in Icon Composer. Icon Composer has no idea this is text, just a regular SVG layer. When I import the resulting .icon file into Xcode, it appears correct in the Xcode preview. However, when building the app and installing it on the iOS 26 simulator, the font of the text in the icon changes (to the system default font?). It is also cropped, cut off, and off-center. I replicated this with a simple standalone icon and clean project. Is anyone else seeing this?

Xcode 26.0 unknown type name 'sqlite3_context'
I have been using the Mixpanel-Swift SDK alongside the Salesforce Mobile SDK in my iOS project with Xcode 16.4 without any issues. However, after upgrading to Xcode 26, I started encountering a problem related to SQLite3. Here is the relevant portion of my Podfile setup: platform :ios, '17.0' def required_pods source 'https://cdn.cocoapods.org/' source 'https://github.com/forcedotcom/SalesforceMobileSDK-iOS-Specs.git' use_frameworks! pod 'SalesforceAnalytics', '13.0.2' pod 'MobileSync', '13.0.2' pod 'SalesforceSDKCore', '13.0.2' pod 'SalesforceSDKCommon', '13.0.2' pod 'SmartStore', '13.0.2' pod 'Mixpanel-swift' end target 'Test' do required_pods end post_install do |installer| installer.pods_project.targets.each do |target| target.build_configurations.each do |config| config.build_settings['EXPANDED_CODE_SIGN_IDENTITY'] = "" config.build_settings['CODE_SIGNING_REQUIRED'] = "NO" config.build_settings['CODE_SIGNING_ALLOWED'] = "NO" config.build_settings['IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET'] = '17.0' end end end Has anyone else encountered a similar issue or discovered a workaround? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Xcode 26 Build Failure: _sys_select and netinet_in Type Mismatches
I'm facing a build failure after migrating my project to Xcode 26. The issue appears to be related to the redefinition of some core system types. The compiler errors point to a failure to locate the original type definitions, suggesting they've been moved or renamed. Specifically, the build log contains these errors: ../arm64-apple-ios.private.swiftinterface:653:11: Cannot find type '_sys_select' in scope ../arm64-apple-ios.private.swiftinterface:130:33: Cannot find type 'netinet_in' in scope I've observed that the types are being mapped as follows: netinet_in.in_addr_t -> _DarwinFoundation2.in_addr_t _sys_select.fd_set -> _DarwinFoundation2.fd_set I'm looking for guidance on the recommended way to resolve these API changes. How should I handle these type redefinitions in Xcode 26 to ensure my project builds correctly? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

File download not working in Xcode 26.0 RC
Hello Apple Developer Community, I'm experiencing an issue with file download functionality in the iOS Simulator after updating to Xcode 26 RC (Build 17A321). Issue Description: When attempting to download files in the iOS Simulator via Safari, the download prompt appears correctly, but after tapping the 'Download' button, files are not being saved to the Files app. The download appears to do nothing with no error message, no indication of failure, but the file simply doesn't appear in Downloads or anywhere in the Files app. Environment: Xcode Version: 26.0 RC (17A321) iOS Simulator Version: 26.0 RC (23A339) Device Simulated: iPhone Air Steps to Reproduce: Open Safari in the iOS Simulator Navigate to a downloadable file (PDF, ZIP, etc.) Tap to initiate download Download prompt appears as expected Tap the 'Download' button Check the Files app → Downloads folder (empty) Expected Behavior: Files should download normally as they do on physical devices and as they did in previous Xcode versions. Actual Behavior: The download prompt dismisses after tapping 'Download', but no file appears in the Files app. No error message is shown, and there's no indication that the download failed, it simply appears as if nothing happened. Additional Information: Downloads work correctly on physical device (iOS 26 RC 23A340) This functionality worked properly in previous Xcode versions I have created a bug report to Feedback assistant: FB20190927 Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Apple Watch can't always reconnect
Using Xcode to build and deploy the app to my watch, this is what I get: “Waiting to reconnect to Apple Watch. Previous preparation error: Transport error." And then “Connecting to Apple Watch. Xcode will continue when the operation completes.” And these messages continue to switch between each other. Sometimes the watch to connect and the application starts, but more often a scenario occurs with endless reconnection. I'm using: MacOS 14.4.1 (MacBook Pro 2019; 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5), Xcode 15.3, Watch OS 10.2 (Apple Watch SE 1), iOS 17.1.1 (iPhone 15 Pro). Methods I tried: Connecting Macbook, iPhone and Watch to the same WIfi network; Disabling Watch (and IPhone) from the "Devices and Simulators" menu and setting up Watch (and IPhone) from the beginning. Any help?

ChatGPT File ignore
I wanted to ask is there a possibility to have an ignore file for specific files on XCode 26 like all of the other AI IDE's have? It's somewhat impossible to use the feature without this type of functionality on the platform. If not possible, will it be available sometime in the future?

X missing dependency on Y because dependency scan of Swift module 'X' discovered a dependency of Y
In my app target Foo, I have a dependency on package Bar. Bar itself have a dependency on another package Other. In my test target FooTests, I have a dependency on package BarTestsHelpers. BarTestsHelpers depends on Bar. When compiling test target FooTests, I get the following unexpected warning in Xcode 26 only: 'Bar' is missing a dependency on 'Other' because dependency scan of Swift module 'Bar' discovered a dependency on 'Other' I can see this is being discussed here as well without a solution. I filled a feedback with a sample project here: FB20602885 It seems that we can remove the warning by explicitly adding the dependency Other on BarTestHelpers. But this shouldn't be needed as BarTestHelpers doesn't use nor know about Other, it only needs it as part of its dependency on Bar.

Could not located developer disk image for this device
I just downloaded xCode 26.0.1 and installed it overtop of my previous version of xCode (I don't know the version, but it was less than a year old). Everything was working fine with the previous version of xCode, but with v 26.0.1, I am getting the following popup error message when trying to install my app to some of my tethered devices: "Could not located developer disk image for this device" This occurs with an iPhone 7 with iOS 14.8 and an iPad Pro (1st gen) with iOS 13.5.1. Again, these devices had no problem launching an app from xCode while tethered prior to the v 26.0.1 install. I do have the following folders in the \Users\MyName\Library\Developer\xCode\iOS DeviceSupport folder: 12.4.1 (16G102) 12.4.1 (16...2) arm64e 13.5.1 (17F80) 14.4.2 (18D70) 14.6 (18F72) 14.7.1 (18G82) 14.8 (18H17) 15.0.2 (19A404) 15.1 (19B74) arm64e 15.3.1 (19D52) 15.3.1 (19...2) arm64e 16.1 (20B82) arm64e 16.3.1 (20...7) arm64e

Adding App Icon to Xcode for Tahoe
I have designed a new icon for my app/Tahoe in Icon Composer (launched from within Xcode)but I simply cannot get it to show up. The documentation for Icon Composer spends a lot of time describing how to design the icons but goes distressingly vague/silent on how one might use it. It suggests that I should drag the file to Xcode and it will guide me as to where to put it. The app continues to use the old (pre-Tahoe) icon. I don't get any change of behaviour and I don't know what to name the file. I assume that there are no other settings that I have to change. I can't find anything on the web or in Apple's documentation: maybe I'm missing something obvious! My app is a working NSDocument-based Cocoa project. Any suggestions please. Flutter 3.35 iOS build fails on Apple Silicon (M3/M4): 'Flutter/Flutter.h' file not found
I'm on a MacBook Air 2025 M4 (Apple Silicon) using Flutter 3.35.5 on channel stable, Xcode 26.0.1, and CocoaPods 1.16.2. Observations I couldn't find a solution with ChatGPT or searching in the Internet like on Stackoverflow Since Flutter 3.35, Flutter.framework is no longer under .../engine/ios/Flutter.framework, but instead part of .../engine/ios/Flutter.xcframework/ios-arm64/Flutter.framework After pod install, there is no Pods/Flutter/Flutter.xcframework folder at all. Running flutter build ios does not generate the framework either — Flutter seems to depend on dynamic build-time injection, but the plugins expect static headers at build time. On my Windows machine, the exact same project and plugin versions build perfectly (obviously without actual iOS compilation). iOS 17.x Simulator (Xcode 15.4): OpenGL/EAGL app shows black screen or exits; clean SDL2 rebuild + flags fix it on 17.2 (17.5 still affected)
Context Host: macOS 14.7.6 on Apple Silicon (Mac mini M2) Xcode 15.4 Simulator runtimes installed: iOS 17.2, 17.4, 17.5 Tech stack: Kivy/kivy-ios, SDL2 (OpenGL ES/EAGL), Python 3.11 App type: minimal Kivy “Hello World” (no special entitlements, no camera/mic) Observed On iOS 17.5 Simulator the app often shows a black screen or exits immediately (no crash dialog). On iOS 17.2 Simulator the same build runs fine (after a clean rebuild of SDL2 and proper xcodebuild flags). What fixed it for 17.2 Clean rebuild of SDL2 (no cached artifacts), then build python/kivy/app. xcodebuild WITHOUT OTHER_CFLAGS="-Umain -DSDL_MAIN_HANDLED". Typical flags: ONLY_ACTIVE_ARCH=YES, EXCLUDED_ARCHS="i386 x86_64", IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=16.0. Optionally enforcing EAGL RGBA8 + retained backing + opaque helped when testing, but the clean SDL2 rebuild already resolved black screen on 17.2. Still problematic 17.5 Simulator still exhibits black screen/early exit for this OpenGL ES path (no clear console/crash signal). Real devices are fine. Questions Is there a known regression or change in iOS 17.5 Simulator related to EAGL/OpenGL ES contexts or presentation? Any recommended Simulator settings/workarounds for GL/EAGL apps on 17.5?
