My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
my app in app store: https://apps.apple.com/cn/app/%E4%B8%89%E5%9B%BD%E6%88%98%E4%BA%89%E7%AD%96%E7%95%A5slg/id6741073714?ct=Tap725796 my app in android store: https://www.taptap.cn/app/725796?os=android Hello, Thank you for your response. Your app still provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store for review. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. To resolve the issue it would be appropriate to revise your app to provide a unique experience or submit a new app that does not repackage the content and functionality of other apps on the App Store. You may also choose to post a question in the Apple Developer Forums. Best regards, App Review This is a cross-era slg game. Players can customize and create the generals' skills they want in the game. The game has been updated for half a year. After the basic functions of the slg game are realized, the game's special functions and custom skills are b

Crashplan 4.3 Partically Operational/Broken
After installing Beta 3 tonight found that Crashplan is borked. The UI is totally unresponsive and unusable. Suspect it has something to do with the Apps Java dependence. It seems to continue to run backups but nothing with the UI works. I've seen a few forums in which folks are saying it does work but I'm not sure that is really the case. I've submitted diagnostics logs, and information to Apple and Crashplan. Recommend those experiencing the same problems report through the proper support channels.

Rejected Due to 4.3(a) Design - Spam
Hi, I have a VPN app that was developed using Flutter, and all of the codebase was created on our own. We are not using any code templates or etc. However it constantly gets rejected due to this reason. My suspicion is that I was originally developing this app using another developer account, and we had submitted it to TestFlight before. If I remove this app from my older account, would it still be considered as a duplication of existing app?

App Rejected for 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello, please someone help me this outrageous i worked so hard on this game for many months and payed apple developer fee to get my app Rejected for being spam which is completely FALSE my app genre is endless runner which is very popular and have a lot of apps but my story is original my music is composed by a professional musician specifically for my game, the UI designed by ME, yes my control mechanics is the same as many apps—this is expected due to genre standards, not duplication. The presence of similar controls codes does not automatically make a game spam. If this logic applied broadly, many top games on the App Store would be at risk of the same guideline violation, Yes i did use some free to use commercially Unity assets (which is entirely permitted under Apple’s policy), i have customized and integrated them meaningfully into the game, so how is this spam?

my Chinese Chess Game be rejected 2 times. the reason: We continued to notice that your app provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store; it simply varies in content or language, which is considered a form of spam. What I'm more curious about is where is the measurement standard for this sentence? According to this reply same feature set as other apps , should APPLE STORE have only one chess games, and the others are considered spam? but why there are so many Chess game there? do they have different features? based on that reply, I think, I am not a chess player. or I am not playing IOS chess game. my APP should be the strongest AI already. have Large End Game Database for play. have self define board for play With AI. any suggestion of make different features set?

App Review rejected due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello, My app was rejected because of App Review Guideline 4.3(a). The guideline says: Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. The original answer is: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. I am very confused. I just bought a Mac and iPhone and ported my Android app Travel Trivia from Weltraumerei to iOS. So I don't have other apps in the Apple App Store. I created my app all by myself and did not repacked another apps or similar procedure. I have only one bundle id. There is one app with a similar concept in the store which unfortunately has the name Travel Trivia. So I ren

Doubt about rejection under Guideline 4.3(b) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone, I'm looking for guidance on a situation that has been quite frustrating for me. I've developed an AI-powered Tarot app that offers an innovative and enhanced experience. Its features include: 3 different tarot decks 70 tarot spreads AI-based personalized interpretations Extensive customization options The app has been successfully published on Android (You can search Tarot AI 3D in the android store) and has received positive feedback from users. Many have contacted me asking for an iOS version, so I decided to rebuild it in Unity with an improved approach, ensuring it meets quality and uniqueness standards. This new version has already been approved on Android. However, after several attempts, Apple has repeatedly rejected it under Guideline 4.3(b) - Design - Spam. I carefully reviewed the guidelines and put all my effort into creating a unique, high-quality experience. I have submitted two appeals (one 15 days ago and another about 5 days ago), but I have not received any response.

Fake reasons given and biased decision made from Apple Review Team - Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
We submitted our application for a review and got rejected with the followings. Review date: February 18, 2025 Version reviewed: 1.0.0 Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps previously submitted by a terminated Apple Developer Program account. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality. Resources Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include: Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party Submitting several similar apps across multiple accounts Learn more about o

Reply to 4.3 Design Guidelines - Apple please reconsider how this is enforced.
We did this as well. We removed all but one app in our series, submitted it and it was rejected for 4.3.In our case, we had initially consolidated our series into a container. We removed everything but the container and sold it for one month. The sales as expected were horrible because the marketing suffers terribly and the app icon is super-generic. We've been selling for years and know roughly what to expect for any given week in the app store. The container sold far worse than our series of apps individually. The sales of the container were also worse than our top selling app by itself. So, we decided to discontinue the container and sell only our top seller. This where we are now -- rejected for 4.3 design spam with no other apps like it in the store. We've only received the 4.3 templated response in the resolution center. Last week we had call with the App Store. We had the impression from the call that this course of action was OK (though they wouldn't say definitively), so we

Struggling With Guideline 4.3(b) Rejections – Would Love Dev Insight
Hey everyone, We recently submitted our new dating app, Rove Dating, and it’s been rejected under Guideline 4.3(b) — “Design: Spam.” I’d really appreciate your insights, especially from anyone who’s faced something similar or has experience getting nuanced apps approved in a saturated category. Before building Rove, we spoke to dozens of users of existing dating platforms. We consistently heard the same thing: people are deeply dissatisfied with current apps. They’re overwhelmed, burned out by swiping, and frustrated by endless choices and low-quality interactions. It became clear that the problem isn’t that there are “too many” dating apps — it’s that most aren’t adapting to how people actually want to date in 2025. We designed Rove to address those pain points head-on, with a totally different approach to matching, message limits, and emotional safety. We believe our app meaningfully improves the dating experience — but we’re having trouble getting that across in the review process. Below is the ex

Reply to XCode 14.1 always crash
This seems like a bug and you can report it directly to apple at https://feedbackassistant.apple.com You could also first check if it is still in the latest version of Xcode (4.3), as it might already be fixed.

Reply to Duplicate App and Rebranding
With two apps having the same functionality but different branding, you're more likely to have problems with 4.3 (Spam). Apple has been pretty rigorous enforcing that rule over the past few years.

There are two kinds of targets. iOS which should always be the latest and lowest deployment targetwhich can be as low as 4.3 on xCode 6.These are set at the project level, not the target level.
