Setting iOS to Airplane Mode (via NFC)
A client asked us to develop an app that can toggle iOS to Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode from scanning an NFC chip. Both the Airplane and Do Not Disturb mode appear to be non-public functionality, or even impossible from within an app without some special privileges. We are wondering if there is any way to get these privileges via a program. We've already looked into the MFI program, but we cannot get any further without having to pay the coface fee, while we are unsure if this is the way to go.

Supports Wallet badge on App Store listing
I am trying to understand what specifically causes the Supports Wallet badge to appear on an App Store listing. It appears on my app even though I have not marked the app as requiring the Wallet service in the developer portal.I am using the com.apple.developer.passkit.pass-presentation-suppression entitlement in order to toggle NFC, and I am also using Apple Pay.I want to know what I need to do to remove this badge as it is misleading for users.

Yubikey / U2F
Will be coming full support for U2F (E.g. Yubikey)? Google Chrome and Firefox are working well with my 2-Factor-Auth on my website, but Safari does not support the authentication. And mobile support on iOS (E.g. Yubikey with NFC )?Best regardsmaisen20

Apply for NFC enabled pass
Does anyone have expereince for applying NFC enabled pass? What's the process looks like? I have send couple requests through http://developer.apple.com/contact/passkit. but get no reply. Same thing happen to our NFC reader vendor. Is there any other channel to get NFC enabled certificate other than this request form web page.

ios13 Missing required entitlement for NFCTagReaderSession
I'm diving into iOS 13's new CoreNFC capabilities, and I'm struggling to get NFCTagReaderSession working. After setting up my entitlements and instantiating an NFCTagReaderSession and delegate I attempt to start the session by calling nfcTagReaderSession?.begin(). My session immediately gets invalidated with this error:Error Domain=NFCError Code=2 Missing required entitlement UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Missing required entitlement}I have updated my distribution profile accordingly , I have followed the documentation here for my entitlements file: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/entitlements/com_apple_developer_nfc_readersession_formatsI have also added the appropriate Privacy - NFC Scan Usage Description in my Info.plist.My developement profile contains only one string NDEF when I enable NFC reading in capabilities.Has anyone gotten this to work yet? Is this just a problem with Xcode 11 or iOS 13?

Reply to CoreNFC ISO7816 Tags
I've just spoken to a CoreNFC engineer and in my case the problem was that the ICAO-9303 Application Identifier was missing from the ISO7816 application identifiers for NFC Tag Reader Session array in the app's Info.plist file: now the callback is fired when I scan my passport

Try adding this to your info.plist to read the ePassport<key>com.apple.developer.nfc.readersession.iso7816.select-identifiers</key> <array> <string>A0000002471001</string> </array>A0000002471001 is the AID of the ePassport NFC chip

To get the tag to detect, you need to look for the correct AID (Application Identifier). In Your apps plist file, you need to add: ISO-7816 application identifiers for NFC Tag Reader SessionAnd then add the passport AID which is A000 0002 4710 01 (without the spaces).

Core NFC Enhancements - Error attempting to read tag
Hello,I couldn't find a better place to ask about issues using the Core NFC enhancements in iOS 13.I'm attempting to attempt access to a simple smartcard applet on a typical smartcard. To the extent that this smartcard is also able to be a MiFare card, the MiFare capabilities of the card have been disabled.I'm have the appropriate entitelements and the proper AID loaded in the Info.plist array.I have NFC sniffing equipment which even shows the iPhone 8 selecting my application (which succeeds with a SW1 SW2 of 0x90 0x00).Shortly thereafter and without having made a call to my tagReaderSession didDetectTags, I'm seeing: Error Domain=NFCError Code=202 Session invalidated unexpectedly UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Session invalidated unexpectedly} in the debug console.Any thoughts?
