Regular apns will give you a willPresent callback and there you can decide to suppress showing the notification or suppress its sound etc. I know the iOS app will give you callbacks for when there's a contentUpdate, yet that doesn't give the option to change the sound. Is there a way to suppress sound of a received Live Activity when app is in foreground?

Our app has an old codebase, originating in 2011, which started out as purely Objective-C (and a little bit of Objective-C++), but a good amount of Swift has been added over time as well. Lots of Objective-C and Swift inter-op, but in general very few 3rd party libraries/frameworks. Like many other codebases of this size and age, we have a good amount of accumulated tech debt. In our case, that mostly comes in the form of using old/deprecated APIs (OpenGL primary amongst them), and also using some ‘tricks’ that allowed us to do highly customized UI popups and the like before they were officially supported by iOS, but unfortunately are still in use to this day (i.e. adding views directly to the UIWindow such that that are ‘on top’ of everything, instead of presenting a VC). I have a UISplitView with a UINavigationBar where I on iPhone have an issue with a containing UITableView which is not directly placed under the NavigationBar. When the new effect in iOS 26 kicks in it also seems to affect to topmost UINavigationBar which I do not want. It's when the clear UINavigationBar directly over the UITableView and passes over a content that it needs to invert its title over, it does. However it also inverts everything (background + title) of another topmost uinavigationbar which I don't want. This is even opaque and have no reason to invert its colors. I have an iPhone 14 Pro, after downloading and installing the new iOS 26, I can’t make any calls, it instantly says “Call Failed”, my cellular data is also not working, however I can still receive calls. This bug needs to be fixed ASAP…

I am running a full-tunnel VPN using a Packet Tunnel Provider. During VPN setup, we configure DNS setting with specific DNS servers for all domains to be used by the tunnel. However, our project requires DNS resolution for every domain from both the VPN-provided DNS servers and the ISP’s DNS servers. When I attempt to use c-ares or other third-party libraries to resolve domains via the ISP DNS servers, these libraries only detect and use the VPN DNS servers instead. As a result, all queries fail. Is there a way on iOS to programmatically determine the ISP DNS servers while a full-tunnel VPN is active, or a system API that allows DNS queries to be explicitly resolved using the ISP’s DNS servers?

Looking to see if anyone has experienced this issue, and is aware of any workarounds. With an app migrating towards SwiftUI Views but still using UIKit for primary navigation, my app makes use of UIHostingController to push SwiftUI Views onto a UINavigationController stack in a lot of areas. With iOS 26, I notice that SwiftUI's Menu view really struggles to present when contained in a UIHostingController. An error is logged to the console on presentation, and depending on the UI, the Menu won't present inside of it's container, or will jump around the screen. The bug, it seems is based in a private class UIReparentingView and I am curious if anyone has found a work around for this issue. The app icon of my iPad app appears as a placeholder/template instead of the correct app icon when viewed through the App Store. It is correctly displayed on the website version of the App Store, in App Store Connect, and when running the app. I noticed that another app with the same issue is Things 3 for iPad. This might be related to the fact that both apps are iPad-only. I implemented a new app icon using the new Icon Composer. Since users can switch between different icons, some are created with Icon Composer and others are still included traditionally within the asset folder. After updating to iPad OS 26, when moving around the app, I can not see the back button, title, and the right menu button on the navigation bar unless I scroll down, then everything is fine. Any advice ? Thanks

Lately every app that I submit (games) with in app purchases, always coins , the app gets rejected with: Guideline 3.1.1 - Business - Payments - In-App Purchase Your app uses intermediary currency to purchase items that function as non-consumable products but still does not include a restore mechanism. Users restore transactions to maintain access to content that they've already purchased It baffles me that reviewers think buy different number of coins is non-consumable. I have tried to explain that coins will be used to buy weapons and skins and they will also be earned at the end of every level yet for some reasons they are still rejecting the app. It is absurd. This is the second app that I have to go through with this. The first one they eventually figured it out but this one no.

After upgrading to macOS 26, I noticed that showing a Quicklook preview in my app is very slow. Showing small text files is fine, but some other files I've tried, such as a Numbers document, take about 30 seconds (during which the indeterminate loading indicator appears) before the preview is shown. When showing the preview of an app, such as Xcode, the panel opens immediately with a placeholder image for the Xcode icon, and the actual Xcode icon is shown only after about 25 seconds.
