Reply to Future of Newsstand?
I can confirm that it is gone. Installing a newsstand app on iOS 9 makes it into an ordinary app. The icon is the regular icon, no more cover pages... 😢Strange that there is no information about this in the new documentation.

Create native WatchOS app
Hi, a few hours ago I downloaded Xcode 7 beta and I was wondering if I could start developing a native WatchOS app. According to WWDC 15 presentation I understood I could but, when I get to Xcode -> New Project, the only option for WatchOS I can choose is: iOS App with WatchKit App. Am I missing something or I can't do an only-watch app? Thanks.

Reply to in app content Signing Identity
Thanks so much for your response.I am not using a wildcard, but the full app ID. I've been trying to set signing for it. As well, the default settings seem to be for OSX and i've tried switching that to iOS and setting normal signing. Pretty confusing why it hasn't been working.Additionally, if i try to force a validation after my initial error, it tells me: Failed, the package does not contain an info.plist(The info.plist in the IAP is called a ContentInfo.plist) maybe that's a part of the issues?

Reply to Create native WatchOS app
Hi ! Yep you're missing it 😉 native apps are always linked to an parent iOS app for now. what's native is that watchkit code is now executed on watch. so it's the same way that before, Apple does the Job.what you have to do is call Webservices via the watch kit app for exemple. instead of calling the parent app.

3 major subcategories of the Games category not working correctly
Casino, Dice, and Educational subcategories of the Games category are not working correctly:On the desktop U.S. Yosemite 10.10.3 using iTunes 12.1.2.27: They are not listed in the Games subcategories list.On U.S. iOS 8.3: They appear in the featured list under the main Games subcategories list but they do not report proper content, instead they show the content from the main Games category. Also glitching in the web (from the desktop Safari 8.0.6 Yosemite 10.10.3) at the iTunes web version, go to the links below and then follow the View in iTunes link on the page in the upper right to see some iTunes whackiness:CasinoDiceEducationalThis has been glitched for a while now, maybe since the March app store outtage event. Really negatively effecting sales for apps in these categories. Let's hope 8.4 and El Capitan resolve this issue. hint.. hint..

Reply to my OS X 10.11 will not download
Got it!Copy your redemption code from the El Capitan download link.Open the App Store and make sure that you're signed in with your Developer Program Apple ID.On the Featured page, under Quick Links (on the right hand side of the page), click on Redeem.Insert your code and click Redeem. If it tells you that it's unavailable, just keep clicking (rapid fire style). This worked for me and OS X 10.11 is downloading now.

How much info can you obtain from facebook?
I am currently trying to learn how to build apps. I've used C in an embedded control course at college and I'm going back to learn it better, learn C++, then objective C.One of the first apps I want to build involves implementing facebook. It takes the user's facebook info and gets a list of their friends (which from other apps seems to be no problem). The problem is, is that I want to get information regarding the mutual friends between the user and their friend. If the user accepts privacy settings, can this information be obtained? Or is this not allowed because approval would also be needed from the friend? Thanks.

Testing Apps on iOS Devices without subscription
I have tried to test an iOS application I have been busy creating over the last few weeks on my iPhone. I used Xcode 7 and iOS 8.4 beta for this, since Apple advertised testing without a developer membership subscription on the information site about Xcode 7.As stated there, I downloaded Xcode 7 and simply logged in in the Xcode Preferences. Now, when I connect my iPhone it shows up in the devices list, but with (unavailable) behind its name, and when I try to start the app it tells me, the Developer Disk Image could not be found.I would really love to be able to try my app in real before subscribing, please help! 🙂
