iOS 9 High CPU (mediaanalysisd process)
I have two devices that I am testing iOS 9 on (both are iPhone 6 Plus's). I noticed that one of these devices is running warm when sleeping and on the charger, with no apps loaded, no GPS activity, etc (airplane mode is on). Instruments is indicating that once the device goes to sleep, the mediaanalysisd process is consuming 28% CPU almost constantly (it does drop to 12% after awhile, but it keeps running). This is a system/root process, and I presume it is looking at the media library. I am only seeing this on the one device. They have different sets of apps and settings, so that is not surprising. Does anyone know more about that process?

How can I call a function when a specific condition is met ?
This is my first AppIm trying to create a similar user interface of the Apple Watch Home Screen for the iphone to practice.I created this application on which you can scroll, zoom and press the buttons. I was doing find until I was unable to resize the button that are touching the edges of the screen. I tried to use the objects CGpoints to find if they are at the edges but could not trigger a event which could call a function if this condition was met.Any Ideas ? 🙂Tell me if you dont understand my question 😊

Reply to Two versions? Or In-App purchase?
Implementing In-App purchase is ideal for youYou will loose the users if you start maintaing two versions of it and also they get confused which one to download.Make one single app and provide limited features and unlock all features with In-App purcahase. It makes users a quick bet to buy it or not.a. If user likes it then chances are more they buy it from in-app.b. If user likes it then chances are very less they buy your Pro Version from app store and you will see user drop outs..There are lot of tutorials on in-app and i learnt from this site raywenderlich. downgraded from ios9 to 8.3 - watch bricked
I hated ios9 so much that I downgraded it to 8.3. Didn't know that watch ios 2 won't pair with 8.3. so,..guess I'm stuck. Should I go back to ios9 on iphone or should I just wait it out and hope that eventually they'll offer watch 3.0 and that'll pair with 8.3? Not sure what to do! Not happy with Apple at all!!! What should I do? Which will happen faster, do you think? That ios9 will improvve or that watch 3 will be available and it'll pair with 8.3? What a drag. Help please!!

Apple watch simulator no longer runs after updating to Xcode 6.3.2 (6D2105)
I've updated my Xcode to Xcode 6.3.2 (6D2105). Now all my existing Apple Watch projects no longer open the Apple Watch simulator (but code runs).I've tried creeating a clean project as well and added the Watch target. The WatchKit App, Notifcation, and Glances targets run, but the Apple Watch simulator doesn't show up.Only the iPhone target sim appears (and runs when that target is selected).I'm I missing some new setting to configure the sim to appear?PS: Running iPhone 6 / iOS 8.3 (12F69) sim

Reply to Anyone else experiencing BT connection issues?
One of my users can connect his bluetooth device just fine to his phone. But when a call comes in and he answers it, even though the phone thinks it's in Bluetooth mode, the audio and voice is coming out the normal phone speakers/mic.He has to switchit to normal, then switch it to bluetooth and it works again, until the start of the next call.iPhone6 Plus AT&T

Reply to High Cell Data Usage
One of my users who has an iPhone 6 Plus though AT&T noticed that his battery life was tanking. He noticed that when he was at the home screen, he would have a spinner in the upper-left corner like there was some network activity or something was downloading something. He would launch an app (Main, iMessage, etc.) and the spinning would stop. As soon as he went back to Home, the spinning would start again. If something is being downloaded, it would be using up data on his plan (he doesn't have unlimited).

Check your phone to ensure settings for iMessage and the like were not reset. I performed an upgrade to my 6 and all of my devices were turned off by the update.Don't get frustrated if they are. When you reenable them it may take more than a few seconds to recieve the neededcode.Cheers!

Reply to Do we have to support 3.5 inch screens?
I read somewhere that developers are now allowed to ship apps that require 64 bit hardware (I didn't see the WWDC video where this was announced, I read it on some blog so...it could be misinformation, though I have no reason to believe it is).In theory, Apple could release a 3.5 inch iPhone in the future with 64 bit support, so relying on that could cause problems in the future (and your app would also have to be universal...if it's iPhone-only it may still run on the iPad in compatibility mode...though I'd think by now they would change that to have the iPad scale up the iPhone 6 Plus layout instead.....I imagine that would look better than using the 3.5 inch).Handling the old 3.5 inch iPhone can be a pain for some designs...because it's smaller and the proportion isn't the same as the other iPhones so certain design things cannot be solved with math.

iPhone 6 Plus would not turn on
I installed the beta on my iPhone 6 Plus. The battery died on me from excessive use. I plugged the phone into a wall charger for 2 1/2 hours To charge it. I went to pick it up, and it was still flashing a drained battery image at me. I moved my phone to the bedside table and plugged it into my MacBook Pro. After another almost hour, it finally came back on.All I can say is, don't let your phone die. Also, I want to know what might have caused this serious power struggle for my phone to boot back up.

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
I've been dumping the communication on my iPhone with tcpdump and interestingly when on the homescreen and doing nothing it does not communicate anything but the spinning wheel besides the operator logo starts as soon as I go to the homescreen (only at certain times in the day, from time to time it stops). During that it does not connect anywhere which I first thought. Disable mobile data and Wi-Fi and it stops completely. No more background process going on without an Internet connection. So it does something in a background process when connected to the Internet even though it does not transmit something. And during that background process my phone runs hot. Disabling mobile data and it cools down and stops with the battery bleeding. Just something I've noticed so far.. So now I use my phone disabling mobile data and Wi-Fi and when needed I enable mobile data to check mail etc. Just to see and monitor what happens.

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
Hey, I'll try to iOS 9 and noticed that the battery life is short. Fully charged at 100% and I also used 2 hours and charging has fallen 80% very quickly. On the iPhone 6 Plus. Hopefully, this battery life is improved after repairs 🙂

Reply to Do we have to support 3.5 inch screens?
YES, you MUST support the 3.5 screen. The iPhone 4s is still amongst the supported devicesand will continue to be when iOS 9 ships this fall, Apple has said so very clearly. Also, unlessyou're writing a universal app, your iPhone app MUST run in 3.5 1x/2x compatibilty mode onthe iPad family.
