Reply to iOS 14 Beta Battery drain on iPhone 6s
I own the iPhone 11 and I've recently updated to the stable version of IOS14. Both overheating and Battery drain problems are present on my device. I immediately noticed these issues right after the update. I went on the internet and found that these problems were evident even in the latest beta of IOS14. I've tried all the solutions that have been suggested (Restart, low battery mode, remove widgets, update apps, etc..) and the problem still persists. This is clearly an issue caused by the IOS14 update, because prior to the update my iPhone 11 was performing great in terms of battery life and heat management. Are there any news of any update that fixes this issue from apple? because i am holding off resetting my iPhone until any news of that.

Reply to Is there a scribble gesture for new line/return?
I love my iPad, but seriously how can there be no way to do a hard carriage return which I could do 10 years ago - actually make that 15 - with a palm pilot or windows phone and stylus? (I still remember all my pencil command shapes for these actions). I think Apple needs to seriously look at how to allow pencil-generated hard returns, spaces, as well as cursor control for backspacing / forward spacing. I may be wrong but I do not see these commands available using pencil. All these actions are very difficult at the moment and need to be improved to catch up to palm pilot 2005 functionality. Call me unimpressed with pencil because of this, but I do see the potential there.

Reply to Apple Pencil support in Safari
Unfortunately I noticed that on 3d Touch devices like the iPhone 6S, force is define and gives values indistinguishable from an Apple Pencil. Anyone figured out how to detect that it is an Apple Pencil and not 3D Touch? I guess we can detect if it's iPhone or iPad, but if Apple releases an iPad Pro with 3d Touch that will break it.

Reply to iOS 14 Beta Battery drain on iPhone 6s
Another one affected by this. iPhone SE with totally normal battery life, now it's a miracle if it even gets to half an hour before depleting from 100% charge. What a ******* disgrace. If this was done on purpose it's downright criminal. I bet you this is happening to just enough few people so it doesn't become a global problem and Apple can get away with it. This needs to be fixed NOW.

This is reproducible with Apple's own tutorial project: https://developer.apple.com/tutorials/sample-apps/capturingphotos-camerapreview 85% CPU usage on an M2 Pro with a Catalyst build! Even if you don't do any processing in the ouput delegate, then the CPU usage is still really really high! I measure the battery life for video capture as about 7 times better on a similarly specced Windows machine.

Reply to After Installing MacOS Big Sur latest beta update, My mac is showing battery service required warning in battery Icon.
Likewise, I have experienced a significant battery drain issue since installing Big Sur 11.0.1. This issue needs to be a high priority for Apple customers, because this may drive their customers to other products. I have a 2016 MacBook Pro, and I have had multiple calls to their tech support which I was finally told to send in my computer or take it to a repair center. Why should we have to take or send a device in that was working fine until their supposed upgrade that is a serious downgrade, poor form from Apple! I also have a similar complaint with there iPhone 2020 SE, extremely poor battery life, which is very disappointing from a company that everyone expects high quality for the high price of their products! I hope Apple at least acknowledges the issues and advises they are working on it. But I am sure they are worried about admitting anything, since their last issue related to purposeful battery drain issues and they were held accountable!

Reply to Erratic battery on iOS 11, restore doesn't fix or help
>This device had NO issues with battery life prior to testing the betas. Everything sounds like the battery is going bad, but it seems very strange that it just so happened when I began testing the beta. For years, betas have routinely lacked release level power management, so what you're seeing is neither new nor unusual. If this hampers your testing, best to avoid betas, I think.

Reply to watchOS 7 Extreme Battery Life Degradation
I have AW4 GPS , normally I have at least 60% battery life by the end of the day even after using it for exercise , but after updating to watch OS7 by 6 PM I am having a waring of low batter less than 10% (never seen this before). My math battery health according to the setting is still 98% . Again this change happened over night after the update.

Reply to Battery drain public beta 5 of ios 26 on Iphone 16 Pro
I think they send beta questions here. Beta's may produce additional logging and have a shorter battery life. One if the many reasons you should think long and hard before installing beta software on your main device.

Reply to Apple Pencil Pairing Issues
Confirming the hair dryer worked on a 1st gen Apple Pencil paired with 6th gen iPad. Hadn't used the pencil in close to a year and was having pairing issues. Held it under the hairdryer and boom - works perfectly again.

Battery Drain and the Battery Widget
I have found that when my apple watch 2 and my iPhone 6 Plus get into a rapidly draining battery situation, the Battery widget (BATTERY USAGE) will spin forever and will not display Battery Usage. The only fix discovered is to reboot the iPhone.

Reply to MacOS Big Sur Lagging
Same here. SMC and VRAM reset did nothing. Scrolling in Safari is laggy half the time, animations are slow and laggy, and my battery life was more than cut in half. God, I hope they fix this stuff in an update SOON.
