Hi. After a few attempts to submit my game, it is still rejected with the following reason: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The submitted app is designed and developed 100% from the scratch, and I don't know the reason of the issue, as I can’t identify which part of the metadata is the issue. After sending a messages to moderation team asking to specify which exactly part of the metadata is the issue, and which other app do they mean, I’m still getting the same template reply, referring to the “Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats”. I have even updated the icon, believing that it was the reason of issue, but it was not a solution. Now I don’t really know what to do? Here is the full warning message: —————— “Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Hi, since last month, I’ve been trying to publish my new game Fractured Lands: Adventure RPG. Me and the marketing team with which I work believe that this game is unique and has strong potential. But unfortunately, the game is not being accepted on the App Store due to a Design - Copycats issue related to guideline 4.1, and now the verification times are taking more than a week. I’ve tried everything to resolve the problem by changing the screenshots, description, keywords, game name, icons, and even all metadata that could cause issues in the build like the trees/rocks models and all textures. But nothing seems to work. I keep receiving the same rejection after several days of waiting. Here is the full message: Guideline 4.1(a) - Design - Copycats Issue Description The app still contains third-party content similar to a popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. This creates a misleading associa

Hello, After submitting my app for review, it was rejected due to the Copycats guideline: This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. The problem is, it is an original app and I have no idea why they considered it a copycat. After various attempts to clarify, and mentioning every reason I could think of that could have made them think its a copycat, I always get basically the same answer. In the last answer they added: Please note resubmission without any revision will not be processed any further. We look forward to reviewing your app once the appropriate changes have been made. The app is a game called G-Switch 4: Creator, the sequel to G-Switch 3 (which is on the App Store). I have detailed why this sequel is a very significant improvement to the previous (level editing and sharing, and other features). I have expl

My app got rejected because of Guideline 4.1 Copycat. The name of my game is Color Jumper and even though it worked on Google Play, apparently there is already a game out there called Color Jumper. Can I just add words after to avoid this (something like Color Jumper: Jump to Survive or Color Jumper: Switch and Jump) or can I not use the words Color Jumper in my title at all? Thanks!

Hello,an app of mine was copied by another developper. Not just the app features, but all the materials on the app store:- Same app name, they just added a plus word- Almost same description. All the special wording and marketing carefully created was copied with very little changes.I wrote apple but they said to report a copyright infringement. But it’s not a copyright or official issue is it ? I don’t care if they copy my app, I care of them using same name and marketing in app store. How to deal with the situation ? Is it allowed in the app store to just copy any app, use same name adding a plus or pro, using same app description ? Doesn’t Apple disallow blatant copies of apps and app store materials ?The form apple asked me to fill is supposed to put me in contact with the copycat. But I don't care about that and expected App store authority to prevent such behavior. Please advise

My game, whose design and coding parts were developed 100% by me from scratch, is online, but I cannot update it. Since the last time I tried to update it has been rejected due to copycat please help

I keep getting rejected from the app because of “Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats”. I have tried changing the game name, icon, privacy links and other things, but I don't understand exactly what elements of the app are violating my app. After searching the App Store I have not found an app similar to mine. If anyone has encountered this problem who knows how to solve it? Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats - This app or its metadata still appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform.

Hi, Since last week, I’ve been trying to publish the new version of my Voxel game, which aims to fix many bugs and significantly optimize the game. This update is very important for improving the overall quality of the game. Unfortunately, this version is not being accepted on the App Store due to a Design - Copycats issue related to guideline 4.1. I’ve tried everything to resolve the problem by changing the screenshots, app preview, description, game name, icons, and even all metadata that could cause issues in the build. But nothing seems to work. I keep receiving the same rejection just a few minutes after submitting my build for review. Hi, My game is rejected because of Design: Copycats 4.1. I sent a message to the technical support, two or three days passed and there was no news. Now I don't know what the reason for this warning is? If he thinks that it is a design and an icon, it is not the same at all. The whole design has been done from zero to hundred. I really don't know what to do? Hi. I have been rejected five times on this same issue that this app is a copycat. We developed this app from scratch, and we are the original authors of this app. And the app review team does not tell us about which part of metadata or our game makes this problem. We are planning to start open beta very soon, but we are keep getting rejected. I can prove that we are the original developers if needed. Please help.

Hi,After I tried to submit my APP for review several times, it was still rejected for the following reasons: Guideline 4.1-Design-Copycats: The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles ODIKING without the necessary authorization. But odiking belongs to our company's product, I don't know the problem, I don't understand how to prove that this product does not belong to a third party content Tanks1
