Xcode side by side simulator keeps crashing and giving "quit unexpectedly messages" + error report and prompts FA. Latest beta versions used for both, running Sonoma.

when running the simulator my ui is overlapped by the battery and network tab on the top.
I am running it using capacitor. The webview is build and converted to ios simulator. But in iphone 14 and 14 pro the ui is overlapped by the dynamic island area and the network and status bar.
I am getting Failed with HTTP status 400: bad request when trying to install iOS 17 simulator. I even tried xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS and got below error

When installing with Xcode 15 I get the same error.
I have installed Xcode from App Store and I am running macOS Sonoma RC.
I have updated my Xcode to Xcode 15 from App Store. Now, Xcode shows an error for downloading simulators. How can I fix?

On Xcode 15 release version 15.0 (15A240d) the iOS 17 Simulator is very slow when running SpriteKit apps. The fps barely gets over 15 fps and everything is lagging. This is unusable for testing games. (M1 Mac mini 16GB RAM)
diagnosticd and SpringBoard seem to be hogging the processor. This continues whether debugging is attached but also when the Simulator is idle.
It does not matter which type of device is used. iOS 16 and lower Simulators are fine.
In the previous version everything was fast and smooth, I could run 4 or 5 simulators at the same time with SpriteKit games.
What to do?
[edit: updated it only occurs on iOS 17 Simulators.]
Hello,
I have issue when downloading and installing iOS 17 simulators. I have deleted them since the crash of iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Simulators from Xcode 15 RC, and I cannot reinstall them. It's a server issue with HTTP 400 code: Bad request.
Can you help me with this issue. Note: any kind of simulator cannot be downloaded actually due to this error code.
Details of failure right below:

Thanks for your answer.
XCode 15 automatically upgraded and brought along the iOS 17 simulators. At first it failed to download (the simulator), but I was able to resolve that issue.
It then took forever to unpack/register and initially load, only to crash in its internals (more than once "MobileCal" has been the crash)
I removed os17 and tried again, same problem. I've since gone back to the OS 16.4 simulator, runs fine (well runs as expected).
I've seen others note that intel based systems in particular have a problem, has anyone been able to get it working?
It terminates when I open Preferences app.
Hello! Apologies if this is a duplicate post; I was unable to find anything related to the issue I have.
So I cannot seem to download iOS 17 via XCode. I get the following:
I have the new version of XCode 15 (15A240d) running on macOS Sonama beta (23A339). I do acknowledge that I am running a beta version of the os, though, I was wondering if there was anything I could try before downgrading os.
Thanks in advance!
On Xcode 15 (released version), the iOS 17 Simulator will stall / lag as soon as an AVAudioPlayer is initialized.
let audioPlayer = try AVAudioPlayer(contentsOf: URL)
audioPlayer.volume = 1.0
audioPlayer.delegate = self
audioPlayer.prepareToPlay()
Typically you would not notice this in a music app for example, but it is especially noticable in games where multiple sounds are being played using multiple instances of AVAudioPlayer. The entire app slows down because of it.
It works fine on real devices and on iOS <=16 Simulators.
I noticed that the iOS 17 simulator immediately shows an error in the console:
66.051 HALC_ProxyIOContext.cpp:1.329 HALC_ProxyIOContext::IOWorkLoop: skipping cycle due to overload
and in the past iOS Simulators have been having trouble with audio.
Unfortunately I cannot find a solution. Anyone?
Downloading the large simulator files in Xcode used to be robust.
Now however I find it almost impossible to download them as even the slightest transient netork outage will cause the download to fail.
The process goes something like this...
Install fresh Xcode 15, and open a porject that targets iOS.
Xcode will prompt you to get the latest simulator:
Click on get and the download will begin.
After a small sub-second network outage it fails:
Click on the info button to get more info:
And show details gives:
Could not download iOS 17.0 Simulator (21A328).

Trying to download XCode Simulators but facing a lot of issues.
iSO is apparently not compatible with my device (MacBook Pro macOS 13.5.2
Trying to download any older iOS simulator results in timeout issues
I have both wifi and ethernet cable.
Tried using sudo xcrun simctl runtime add with dmg files downloaded from the internetn and I get Error Domain=SimDiskImageErrorDomain Code=3 "Missing Signature even thought there is a signature file in the same folder.
Why is it so diffcult to download a single siimulator?
What other ways can I try to get one?
Clicking on XCode > Dveloper tools > Simulators only shows an icon at the bottom tray but nothing opens.
I have configured a simulator in window > devices and simulators.
Tried reinstalling and other solutions mentioned online but nothing worked.
I have a MacBook Pro with macOS 13.5.2
hi all,
is anyone else seeing this? I am just going back into my app and when I run it now, it's failing on creating a new calendar. I just updated to iOS 17 for the simulator and Xcode as well...
Hey guys, we are using Xcode 15 (and have used almost all beta releases for this test) with iOS 17 simulator and related SDK.
However, we notice that all of a sudden the iOS 17 simulator becomes incompatible and SDKs are getting removed.
We are using a hot desking on a mac which also removes the user Library on every logout, not sure that could be related.
Nothing great in the logs.
Any idea why this could be happening? Happy to explain in details if needed.
On freshly set Mac, or in VM, when there is NO internet access, xcrun simctl boot <UDID> fails to boot any simulator with the error:
Unable to boot device because we cannot determine the runtime bundle
xcrun simctl list devices displays all created simulators with error message:
runtime profile not found using "System" match policy
As soon as you connect machine/VM to the internet, and start Xcode.app GUI, everything starts to work. Internet can be disconnected afterwards.
This is very bad for CI automation.

I bought a MacBook Air M2 a few days ago. Today I started using Xcode 15 to learn iOS development. But as soon as I turn on the simulator, I notice that my mac gets very hot and drains a lot of battery. Is there any solution for that? I repeat the MacBook is brand new.
After installing my xcode for ios 17 update the my simulator iPhones are not working screen just freezes and nothing is working i am using macbook pro m2 with all latest updates
I installed Xcode 15 and on first openning it auto downloaded iOS 17 simulator but failed to install. The error info is :

The sreenshot is like:
I tried to reinstall Xcode and clean some cache files but still have the same issue and same appearence in this setting page.
Any advises would be helpful
Hi there!
I have a problem running UI tests on simulator, while using M1 Mac.
After running for a couple of minutes, usually 3 minutes is enough, tests begin to fail every ±60s on
XCUIApplication().launch()
with
Failed to terminate com.***.***:10552: Failed to terminate com.***.***:0
At this point, my simulator window does not even react to any manual input. That issue have been happening since Xcode 13. Unit tests are running completely fine though. Also, that issue does not appear on an Intel-based Mac.
Sadly, I haven't found any information on that issue, however, there are some posts on SO mentioning the same issue, and only one of those posts has an answer, but it mentions unchecking 'Open using Rosetta' option for Xcode, which is not possible anymore.
I would appreciate any advice, as I feel like I have tried everything already :(
