TestFlight invite not received

My team is helping test an app for a partner and we're having issues with one of the testflight invites never being received. We've provided the main Apple ID email (@gmail) and the alternative apple id (@me) and they've deleted and resent a dozen times. Checked junk mail, and everything, but still no invite showing up. The other invites seem to go through without problems (one is @gmail and one is @his).

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Was experiencing the exact same problem as mentioned in the above comments and clicking "Notify Testers" did the trick. Thanks for the suggestion!

Same problem here, more than TWO YEARS after original OP.

Apple will DIE with their business model. One day or another. They will be devoured by competitors.

I have the same problem but I may know why we aren’t get invites. Their are 10 reasons of why aren’t get invites:

1. Their are 10,000 testers already

2. All Apple developers aren’t working on test flight

3. May be the request was not sent

4. IOS 11 all apple developers are working on iOS

5. Test flight server are down

7. Incorrect Apple ID

8. Check in your span folder on your company’s email (if you don’t have company check in your emails)

9. Apple may not know you are waiting for you email

10. Test flight may have an error get the requset for you invite

Remember! Their is a max for test fight usesrs which that is 10,000 testers

You can get more information at https://developer.apple.com/testflight/

I hoped that this helped you:) thanks

I‘ve found why we don’t have invites

Note: this maybe Incorrect

Apple announced that "services offered at TestFlightApp.com will no longer be available after February 26, 2015." The announcement contains a few important hints to help transitioning existing apps from TestFlightApp.com to iTunes Connect.

Most importantly, clarifies Apple, existing apps will not be transferred automatically to TestFlight Beta in iTunesConnect, a task which is left to App developers to carry through. A somewhat easier path is available to transfer all testers associated to a TestFlightApp.com account to iTunes Connect. Indeed, developers can export their testers' contact information into a CSV file that can be later imported in iTunes Connect.

App builds that are currently stored in TestFlightApp.com can still be downloaded in the IPA format. Finally, apps that include the TestFlight SDK will function normally but developers are requested to remove the SDK from future releases.

Apple announced the acquisition of Burstly, owner of TestFlight, in February last year. Immediately thereafter, Apple terminated Android support and discontinued the TestFlight SDK, while allowing developers that already owned a TestFlightApp.com account to continue using TestFlightApp services for iOS apps.

At WWDC 2014, Apple announced the integration of TestFlight within the iOS 8 development tool suite. The new service brought some advantages to developers, such as a significantly higher number of permitted testers, going from 100 to 1,000, and the possibility of inviting new testers by sending them an email, which specifically removed the requirement of adding new testers' devices to the app's provisioning profile. On the other hand, Apple introduced a mandatory review process for beta builds and only allowed to have one active build at a time. Both points raised some concerns in developers. Another major limitation of TestFlight Beta is its availability only on iOS 8, which rules out beta testing on iOS 7 and earlier releases, which still account for about 30% of the user base at the moment of this writing.

That means test flight server are Down forever!

Ok.. I found a very stupid way to get the invitations send:

Our problem: one group received the invitations, other groups did not.

We added the people that did not receive the email to a different group by using the "Add existing users" options. And invites were send immediately.

Hope this helps others

I'm having the same problem, but have noticed that it is intermitent (though most invites fail to send). I tried this approach as well, but it did not seem to work, so perhaps your success was another case of intermitent functionality 😠.

I've tried

* resending

* expiring builds and reloading (with bumped version#)

* deleting testers and re-adding

* using groups vs individual testers

Not sure where to go next. Will probably call Apple to see if I can get some assistance.

BTW - one thing I am thinking I've seen is that pre-selecting testers before the new build has been reviewed and is "Ready To Test" may be related. It seems that selecting testers (that have not been previous selected for the current build) after this point worked. The system seems to remember who invitations were sent to for a build, even if they are removed and re-added, so trying to correct doesn't seem to fix it. Also, the 'ReSend Invitation' does not work.

I experienced the same problem. I created an app on iTunes Connect, uploaded the app, and could not send the email to myself or testers to download the app on TestFlight.

My problem seems to have stemmed from both myself and the tester being added as external testers as well as internal testers (I don't know how that's feasible in the first place). So I deleted myself and the tester from the external testers list (Users and Roles -> TestFlight Beta Testers -> External). This triggered Apple to finally send the email. As a note, even though I deleted myself and the tester from external testers, both of us still show up as external testers

Previously the 'Resend Invitation' button did not appear and now it does.

I am very dissapointed by the lack of documentation around this problem, especially considering the number of people who have experienced this problem.

bump. it's been more than 30 minutes. new email composed from desktop client was delivered within a minute.

Still happening to me. I have 4 testers and 3 aren't getting the emails. No idea what to do.

I gotta say. This Apple Testflight experience for external users is very disheartining.

I once got on the phone with Apple to get it sorted out. i essentially had to keep removing users and re-adding them. my external users eventually got the invite, but the process was unprofessional. having to keep asking external users whether they've received an invite (and even asking if they checked SPAM) just screams that someone hasn't really got a clue about what's happening (and in perception, that person ends up being me).

very disappointed.

sorry that my only suggestion is something that everyone's tried before. not sure there anything that actually works.

Having the same problem. Haven't found any option in Testflight to notify. External testers did not get notified. Internal testers/users did.

Bump same issue here.

Still no response or solution from apple? :/ We are having the same issue as well!

Same issue, no resolution. Apple IDs match the email the invites are being sent to, but nothing ever goes through. What's strange is that I never had this problem at a previous employer (just a few months ago), but at my new company I have yet to receive a TestFlight email. Again, everything is correct/emails match/etc. The invites should be coming through without a hitch but don't.
