We have an electron app developed for Mac. We would like to restore the user data previously saved in downloads once user installs the app from store and first launch. But MAS has restrictions with ""com.apple.security.files.downloads.read-write". We have enabled the user access in Entitlement files and request user permission before access What options can be user to auto restore the data from downlodas?

Camera Crashes
Hi everybody, I'm trying to build a QR-Code Scanner and Generator App for IOS. Whenever I try to implement the camera the app crashes with this comment: This app has crashed because it attempted to access privacy-sensitive data without a usage description. The app's Info.plist must contain an NSCameraUsageDescription key with a string value explaining to the user how the app uses this data. I tried to reduce the app to the minimum of nothing but camera with the same result. Any ideas? Tank you and best Regards Horst Schippers

Voice memos
Can it please be explained why the voice memo layers is exclusive to iPhone 16 pro models? I was told by apple support that if it was possible on older models Apple would have implemented it. This type of functionality has been in technology for tens of years and has a proven track record of being implemented across so many different platforms and even apps in Apples on App Store. So that response from apple support is just rubbish to be honest. Even if the response is “so we can sell the iPhone 16 pro“ then so be it. ive noticed Apple locking software features to new devices lately and it’s genuinely making me think about buying my first even android phone.. because I really don’t support these kind of scummy tactics. many thanks,

iPhone 15 Pro Max Overheating During Normal Use – Seeking Advice"
I'm experiencing a heating issue with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. The device heats up even during light usage, such as browsing, checking social media, or using simple apps. It becomes noticeably warm, even though I'm not running any demanding tasks like gaming or video editing. I’ve tried restarting the phone, closing background apps, and ensuring that iOS is fully updated, but the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered this issue with the iPhone 15 Pro Max? What could be causing my device to heat up during regular use? Are there specific settings or steps I can take to reduce the heating? Is it more likely to be a software-related issue or a hardware problem? Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated! Has anyone else encountered this issue with the iPhone 15 Pro Max? macos app using VoiceOver HotSpots fails to jump to correct hotspot
I'm trying to validate my app's handling of voiceover accessibility when using VoiceOver hotspots. What I'm doing: Set a hotspot Validate hotspot references correct control within the hotspot chooser set another hotspot Validate hotspot references both correct controls within the hotspot chooser Try to use one of the hotspots Result: The hotspot has changed to some other control in the app (usually one of the window buttoms (close, minimze, full screen) but at other times are one of the menus or a completely different control in the window. My question is how I can debug what might be going on in the app when the hotspots are resolved and invoked. I'm assuming I have some accessibility property set improperly for these controls that are causing incorrect resolution of the hotspots.

Registering a macOS app for dynamic text sizing in macOS 15
macOS 15 includes a neat section in System Preferences Settings to change the dynamic text size, as outlined see: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/make-text-and-icons-bigger-mchld786f2cd/mac However, it's not immediately clear a) how to get one's app in this list, and b) if the usual methods from iOS to react to text size even work on macOS. Does anyone have any experience here? Or should I implement my own controls in my app's settings and call it a day? For context, my app is a macOS-native SwiftUI app.

Adding Central Kurdish language to VoiceOver functionality
addition of Central Kurdish language support for Text-to-Speech (TTS) and VoiceOver functionality on Apple products. Our TTS model boasts an impressive 99.9% accuracy, making it a highly reliable tool for this purpose. This initiative would bring meaningful benefits to over 10,000 visually impaired and more than 40,000 illiterate individuals in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, empowering them to access digital information, navigate devices, and perform tasks more independently. The integration of Central Kurdish VoiceOver support would make a significant difference in improving accessibility and quality of life for these individuals, promoting inclusivity and digital literacy in the region.

Voice-over mode issues
Added a view controller in the storyboard, added a tableview in this view, and added a cell under the table, when I run the APP to jump to the page, when using the narration function, I find that when I use three fingers to swipe up or down, a sentence will be broadcast in English, I want to no longer change the accessiblity of the cell, when I perform the behavior of swiping up or down with three fingers, Broadcast how Chinese should be implemented.

Not able to receive silent pushes in background
I’ve developed the Pro Talkie app—a walkie-talkie solution designed to keep you connected with family and friends App Store: https://apps.apple.com/in/app/pro-talkie/id6742051063 Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.protalkie.app While the app works flawlessly on Android and in the foreground on iOS, I’m facing issues with establishing connections when the app is in the background or terminated on iOS. Specifically, I’ve attempted the following: Silent pushes and alert payloads: These are intended to wake the app in the background, but they often fail—notifications may not be received or can be delayed by 20–30 minutes, leading to a poor user experience. VoIP pushes: These reliably wake the app, but they trigger the incoming call UI, which isn’t suitable for a walkie-talkie app that should connect directly without displaying a call screen. I’ve enabled all the necessary background modes (audio, remote notifications, VoIP, background fetch, processing), but the challenge remains. How can I ensure a consistent background connection on iOS without triggering the call UI?

I have an issue on Apple accessibility audit, the text is truncated but can't see the issue in accessibility inspector app
How can I fix the truncated text issue reported by the Apple Accessibility Inspector? I created a sample view controller with the system font set to its maximum size, and the label appears to be truncated. private let testLabel: UILabel = { let label = UILabel() label.text = "Apple A11y Tes" label.textAlignment = .center label.numberOfLines = 1 label.adjustsFontForContentSizeCategory = true label.font = .preferredFont(forTextStyle: .headline) label.translatesAutoresizingMaskIntoConstraints = false return label }() override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() setupUI() } private func setupUI() { view.addSubview(testLabel) NSLayoutConstraint.activate([ testLabel.centerXAnchor.constraint(equalTo: view.centerXAnchor), testLabel.centerYAnchor.constraint(equalTo: view.centerYAnchor), testLabel.leadingAnchor.constraint(greaterThanOrEqualTo: view.leadingAnchor, constant: 25), testLabel.trailingAnchor.constraint(lessThanOrEqualTo: view.trailingAnchor, constant: -25) ]) } } What is the expected result here?

iOS 18 Video Playback Experience
It’s impossible to enjoy video playback with this update. 1) Starting with the play/pause location, not friendly with your hand; 2) How are we supposed to back and forth just a few frames? I was thinking there is a hidden button somewhere to enable the old playback, because that’s waaay absurd. 3) Video playback with buttons enable makes video playback smaller, that’s ridiculous

Apple Vision Pro - Homonymous Hemianopia
Individuals with a stroke can end up with vision impairments: specifically Homonymous Hemianopia which basically means the individual has lost sight in (as an example) the left half of both eyes. I'm interested in understanding if it would be possible to help individuals with this vision impairment by providing an accessibility config within the Apple Vision Pro which would first determine an individuals field of view (possibly by showing a field of dots across the entire "screen" and having the individual look at the dot and click. Based on the results of this field of view, this would determine how the screen would be presented to the user moving forward. My mom (82 years old) had a stroke recently and was diagnosed with Homonymous Hemianopia. She lived on her IPhone and would love to get back the ability to text message, use Facebook, and order items from Amazon. Please advise if you believe the Apple Vision Pro would be capable of helping in this area with the suggested development, or other thoughts.

[tvOS] VoiceOver Skips Description Text When Info Panel Opens in AVPlayerViewController
When the native info panel (which displays the title, subtitle, description, and custom buttons) opens, the focus immediately shifts to the first button. As a result, VoiceOver skips the description, which is crucial for users relying on accessibility features. I haven’t found a way to detect when it opens. Knowing this would allow me to trigger custom VoiceOver announcements or adjust the focus order dynamically. Are any other people experiencing this issue, and how do we solve it?
