Hi there; Apple CarPlay has some issues after updating IOS18. Initially when updated to 18.01 Carplay Maps stopped responding, cannot Mute or unmute voice, cursor doesn’t allow, cannot navigate. After updating it to 18.1 maps still continue to behave unresponsive. 18.1 has also affected other application response. This is dangerous given CarPlay stops responding during driving. I am driving an Acura MDX.

How do I search for messages on iPhone by date? Running iOS 18.1. In the Spotlight feature, if I type “messages on 10/14” the top 3 results are messages on that date. But if I tap “search in app” I’m brought to a blank messages screen. This function would help me with work so much, and it’s like we’re almost there- but not. thanks!

I bought the new refreshed AirPods Max 2024 on pre-release day and ever since I got them in has been messed up when using the AirPods Max. Sometimes it’ll work sometimes it won’t. it started while I was on the 18.1 beta which I figured was probably the issue but now I’m on the 18.1 RC and it is still doing it. It’s not the new Siri because it’s not working with old Siri either most of the time. Sometimes it won’t even let me use my microphone when connected or read any of my notifications out loud.

Touchscreen support on MBP's always been terrible but with 'sidecar' we have an option, all be it a merger 13" one. Mac mini + Big iPad could be the ultimate 'on the road' office. I'm working on an app that reads and writes exercise minutes to HealthKit. Everything functions correctly up to iOS 18.0.1, but starting from iOS 18.1, my implementation is no longer working as expected. Here's the code snippet I use to write to HealthKit: let workout = HKWorkout(activityType: .other, start: startDate, end: endDate) try await healthStore.save(workout) This code successfully writes to both workouts and exercise minutes in iOS 18.0.1 and earlier. However, from iOS 18.1, it only writes to workouts and not to the exercise minutes data source. Has anyone encountered this issue or have insights on how to resolve this?

Hello, two months ago, I got a 2024 Volkswagen ID.4. At first, there was a free trial of a hotspot through Verizon. It was fine, but I'd rather use my phone's cellular data. Not long after that, I installed the iOS 18.1 beta. That's when I noticed that my phone was offline when connected to CarPlay. I have my maps downloaded, and much of my music and podcasts are configured to download locally to my phone, so I'm not sure exactly when it began. I've exhausted the settings I can think of on my phone and my car's infotainment settings. I've tried: Resetting Network settings on my phone Confirming that Wifi Assist is enabled Re-pairing my phone with my car Turning off my car's Wifi Hotspot setting turns turns off wireless CarPlay. When I try to re-connect to CarPlay, I get a notification that it must be on to connect wirelessly. Turning cellular data off and on None have helped yet. Any ideas?
