I've been experiencing a bug when trying to open a file on a remote machine through File -> Open... -> Network -> Connect As... where the Name/Password dialog won't let me enter more than one character into its text fields. I'm able to get one more character in by toggling between the "Registered User" and "Guest" radio buttons, and it seems to fix itself entirely when I focus on another window before entering my credentials. Once it is "fixed", it doesn't happen again until the machine's restarted. I was able to reproduce this on 15.1 and 15.1.1, but not on 15.0.1 (I do not currently have access to a machine running 15.2). Here are some reproduction steps: (You will need a shared computer on LAN) Restart your machine (un-check reopen windows when logging back in) Open TextEdit From the Menu Bar, click “File > Open...” Select “Network” from the Open Dialog’s sidebar Select your shared computer on LAN and click “Connect As…” Try typing in the password field. This will only allow the first key press to produce a character in the text field. (In my case, the Name field was already populated, so the password field was automatically selected) (Filed as FB16039397)

I find that GIDSignIn.sharedInstance.signIn() returns successfully when an INVALID bundle ID is used. Is this expected?

Last year's submission form says that if you select (Run on Xcode) the app will be in the simulator not on an iPad. Has that changed this year, as I don't see it in the terms? (My app has imported local package dependencies for Reality Composer Pro that I am not certain would work on playgrounds for iOS. And it needs the iPad camera for AR functionality.)

My main app is CardView based w/programmatic navigation.. My secondary app is a nice EventListView w/programmatic navigation. Both are functional with no errors. I want to add an event list to my CardView app but the appearance is all wrong. See image. The blue swirl at bottom is all of my List that appears. I can post images of code, if needed. My question is this - can I combine CardViews and ListViews?

I have been trying to sign up for Apple Developer for many days. I fill in the details, provide my valid card, and they say they will get back to me in 2 days. However, I have never received a response. I need to launch an app, and this is holding me back.

I would call this a major issue, IOS 18 has effected phone network connectivity and communication after resting network settings as well as cellar settings, IOS 18 is unable to Make the connection, either software or framework issue, phone network I am with report no issues so apple have somehow made an error in there coding, As have been unable to send text messages and make phone calls correctly showing message failure and dodgy cellur connection, Is apple or a member of the community able to advice on this? I recently updated to iOS 18.1.1 and macOS 15.1.1, but I'm unable to log into Apple's official sites, such as https://account.apple.com/ or https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/login, using passkeys. I'm located in mainland China, and I also can't reset the passkeys through the Password application, as there are no Apple passkeys listed in the Password -> Passkeys section. We have been unable to use ActiveSync email in our mail app since the IOS 18.2 update. We have repeatedly recreated the account but cannot improve the situation. We have normal access to ActiveSync mail on IOS 18.1.1 and ipadOS 18.2. Is there any additional configuration required in IOS?

Hi, I am a new user here, I have created my apple developer account and purchased an apple developer membership for a year. I have received my web order details and also the invoice few days ago but when I try to go to App Store Connect it won't let me in. I have contacted the apple developer support 3 days ago but I did not received any response yet. It's frustrating. I do not know much how to navigate on these apple products and devices so I am kind of lost here. Your help or advice, would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I believed I have already enrolled in this apple developer membership because every time I tried to click enrol it leads me to another purchase membership page which I have already paid, so I ended up clicking the withdraw membership instead of clicking the purchase tab. Hello, since an update in September, the alarm widget on the watch face no longer counts down accurately like it used to. This is extremely frustrating for me because I used it for work so I have know exactly how much time I had in a particular circumstance. So for example, say I have an alarm set for 12:30. Before the update in September, I was able to look at my watch and know immediately that I had 24 minutes before the alarm, or look again and know it was the. 10 minutes before the alarm. Now, if I look at the watch face, it will say I have 24 minutes before the alarm, but it may actually only be 10 minutes before the alarm. I understand for some people this may be trivial, but it is really disappointing for me, and renders one of the most useful features of the Apple Watch useless to me now. I am hoping this is just an oversight during an update, so looking to see if this is something that is currently being worked on? I just installed beta 11.3 and still having the same issue. Now, if I press and hold on the watch face, like I’m going to change watch faces, then click out of it. It does update it. But it is not the same as it used to be. Thank you

Hi community! I have come across a situation where I want to select a text in my iPhone by pressing the spacebar on my keyboard and then holding with another finger on any other part of the keyboard to move the spacebar finger freely and start selecting text. I hope I was clear about which function I am referring to. The issue however is that I often find myself selecting more than I wanted (going over to the next characters by one or two) and I can’t go back. This might be a very small detail, but I really think it can be beneficial to change the function so that your selecting point is a pivot and the sliding finger moves the selection to the right and left from the same end of the selection area. Right now, when moving the finger to the right or left, the text selection gets larger from each side of the selection, but it can’t be shortened when a mistake like going over happens, at least in the same maneuver. I believe it’s very easy to select the desired pivot where the selection will start, because the user can first hold and slide the spacebar to locate the vertical bar in the text and then hold with second finger to start selecting. That means that being able to move both ends of the selection area is not necessarily providing a uniquely useful advantage. I have 2017 GMC Sierra and no bluetooth so I have to use USB. It worked fine for years but as soon as I down loaded the iOS 18 update when I try to listen to music, it plays a small clip of the song then stops and forwards through the rest of the song and skips to the next. It does this with every song whether it’s a playlist or downloaded on to my phone. I hate listening to the radio and having to listen to commercials which is why I have a 1 year subscription to Apple Music. Because of this glitch I have to listen to the friggin radio in the truck and search for the radio stations I like and suffer through stupid commercials every 10 minutes. None of the updates have fixed this glitch. Please, I beg you, fix it.

Hi, I have a Retina 13 inch 2020 macbook air and an iPad 7. My macbook is updated to macOS sonoma and my iPad is updated to iPadOS 18.3. I want to use the sidecar feature on my mac and project the macbook display onto my iPad. I remember it working around a year ago when I used this feature before, but now it's telling me I have issues connecting due to my iPad's WiFi being 'unavailable.' However, my iPad isn't connecting to hot-spot, my mac isn't sharing the internet connection, they're linked to the same apple ID account, and they're on the same WiFi network. I've tried connecting both wirelessly and wired (and trusted the computer) but no matter how much I troubleshoot it, it won't connect. I'd be really grateful if somebody could help me fix this. Hi Apple Team & Everyone, Can someone guide me why sending 'diskutil eraseDisk APFS "WIPED" GPT /dev/disk0' command via terminal to remove/wipe the main physical drive (disk0) is failed? I tried booting into recovery mode, but it still didn’t work. The command returned the following error: Started erase on disk0 Unmounting disk The volume on disk0 couldn't be unmounted because it is in use by process 0 (kernel). Error: -69877: Couldn't open device I understand that we can use Disk Utility (GUI) to unmount and erase the drive. Is it possible to perform this operation via Terminal to erase disk0?
