There seems to be a lack of clarity about how this Siri AI rollout is working. Does the indexing have anything to do with getting taken off the waitlist, or are they completely separate? Also, what is the expected wait time and has anyone gotten the new Siri after the initial wave of approvals (after 4 hours after the keynote)? The waitlist is extremely slow compared to the initial Apple Intelligence waitlist from a couple of years ago.

I just watched the "Build Intelligent Siri experiences with App Schemas" and I'm confused about how to integrate my app with the new Apple Intelligence + Siri in iOS27. I think it mentions specifically that Siri needs to adopt App Schemas, and that just adopting App Intents in my app isn't enough for it to integrate with the new Siri. Is that correct? The 'schemas' seem to be a narrow set of specific activities. What if my app's actions (or intents) don't match closely with it? For example, in my app, I have entities like Tags and Contacts. I can 'create tag' as well as 'add tags to a contact' as 2 different App intents. If I'm using just App Intents on their own, would these not map to the new Siri? I can also add a 'task' to a 'contact'. Would that possibly work with Siri? The videos just don't seem to make an effort to explain what is and what isn't possible.

The models get downloaded and I can also verify that they exist in /System/Library/AssetsV2/ however the download progress remains stuck at 100%. Checking console logs shows the process generativeexperiencesd reporting the following: My device region and language is set to English (India). Things I've already tried: Changing language and region to English (US) Reinstalling macOS Trying with a different ISP via hotspot.

Hello, Are there any plans to compile a python 3.13 version of tensorflow-metal? Just got my new Mac mini and the automatically installed version of python installed by brew is python 3.13 and while if I was in a hurry, I could manage to get python 3.12 installed and use the corresponding tensorflow-metal version but I'm not in a hurry. Current Setup: Device: iPhone 16 Pro Max iOS: 26 beta 3 Development: Tested on both Xcode 16 and Xcode 26 Implementation: Following the official documentation examples The Problem: Semantic search simply doesn't work. Lexical search functions normally, but enabling semantic search produces identical results to having it disabled. It's as if the feature isn't actually processing. Error Output (Xcode 26): [QPNLU][qid=5] Error Domain=com.apple.SpotlightEmbedding.EmbeddingModelError Code=-8007 "Text embedding generation timeout (timeout=100ms)" [CSUserQuery][qid=5] got a nil / empty embedding data dictionary [CSUserQuery][qid=5] semanticQuery failed to generate, using "(false)" In Xcode 16, there are no error messages at all - the semantic search just silently fails. I found what might be a bug with enabling Apple Intelligence when switching languages. When my iPhone's language is set to Catalan, the Apple Intelligence is disabled because it is not available for that language. Switching to Spanish doesn't activate it, and it still shows the same message of being unavailable, this time saying not available in Spanish (which is not true). However, it is enabled when the phone is rebooted. Once at this point, the bug becomes even weirder. Having the iPhone language set to Spanish and with Apple Intelligence on, I switch the language to Catalan, and the feature remains enabled. After I ask a query in Catalan, it surprisingly understands it and works, but then it gets disabled. Apart from that, as user feedback, I would love to activate Apple Intelligence in an available language other than my device's language. That's how I always used Siri (iPhone in Catalan, Siri in Spanish). Thanks!

Okay, so i’ve been on the waitlist since Monday, roughly about 107 hours, and still nothing, i have iPhone 16 pro, and what’s frustrating some people got it like after 2-3 hours, maximum 3 days, but now its getting really frustrating , hope today i will get it!

My phone no longer shows the waitlist for Siri and has the option to "Try New Siri." I select it, continue, continue and the settings change to "Siri (Beta)" and the waitlist option is no longer there, but when using Siri it's the old pre-Apple Intelligence Siri that activates (little bubble at the bottom) and it does not work. Going to Safari and typing "Siri://" opens the New Siri App, but it says "Siri Update in Progress; Adding support for Siri hasn't completed. Open Settings to check the status." The app does not show up in Spotlight. My phone is done Indexing and all signs point to my phone being enrolled to use the New Siri, but it isn't working at all and still has not shown up. I've tried restarting a few times. Anyone experiencing this too?

I am using the iPhone 17 Pro simulator that was included with Xcode 26.0.1. My Mac is running macOS 26. When I started the simulator for the first time I got the "Ready for Apple Intelligence" notification but when I access Image Playground in my app it says it is not available on this iPhone. Any solution to get it working on the simulator?

Would there be a popup automatically shown to a user saying to enable Apple Intelligence if our user has the toggle turned off? Just curious about how that experience looks for both us as developers and users.

I had already thought about developing a demo app to demonstrate my idea for a better Siri. My change of many: Wish Update: Siri's language recognition capabilities have been significantly enhanced. Instead of manually setting the language, Siri can now automatically recognize the language you intend to use, making language switching much more efficient. Simply speak the language you want to communicate in, and Siri will automatically recognize it and respond accordingly. Whether you speak English, German, or Japanese, Siri will respond in the language you choose.

I didn't run benchmarks before update, but it seems at least 5x slower. Of course all the LLM work is on remote servers, so is non-intuitive to me this should be happening. Had updated MacOS and Xcode to 26.1RC at the same time, so can't even say I think it is MacOS or I think it is Xcode. Before the update the progress indicator for each piece of code might seem to get stuck at the very end (and toggling between Navigators and Coding Assistant) in Xcode UI seemed to refresh the UI and confirm coding complete... but now it seems progress races to 50%, then often is stuck at 75%... well earlier than used to get stuck. And it like something is legitimately processing not just a UI glitch. I'm wondering if this is somehow tied to visual rendering of the code in the little white window? CMD-TAB into Xcode seems laggy. Xcode is pinning a CPU. Why, this is all remote LLM work? MacBook Pro 2021 M1 64GB RAM. Went from 26.01 to 26.1RC. Didn't touch any of the betas until RC1.
