Realitykit asset loading
With Xcode 26, loading ressources with RealityKit is extremely slow. Here my project takes almost 50 seconds to load. I also get multiple Hang detected messages in the console: When I uncheck "Debug executable" in the schema, the same project loads in 2 seconds. Spatial Gallery App functionality
Similar to the visionOS Spatial Gallery app, I'm developing a visionOS app that will show spatial photos and videos. Is it possible to re-create the horizontal (or a vertical) scrolling functionality that shows spatial photos and spatial video previews? Does the Spatial Gallery app use private APIs to create this functionality? I've been looking at the Quick Look documentation and have been able to use the PreviewApplication to show a single preview, but do not see anything for a collection of files as the Spatial Gallery app presents in the scrolling view. Any insights or direction on how this may be done is greatly appreciated.

visionOS console warning: Trying to convert coordinates between views that are in different UIWindows
Hello, I have an iOS app that is using SwiftUI but the gesture code is written using UIGestureRecognizer. When I run this app on visionOS using the "Designed for iPad" destination and try to use any of my gestures I see this warning in the console: Trying to convert coordinates between views that are in different UIWindows, which isn't supported. Use convertPoint:fromCoordinateSpace: instead. But I don't see any visible problems with the gestures. I see this warning printed out after the gesture takes place but before any of our gesture methods get kicked off. So now I am wondering if this is something we need to deal with or some internal work that needs to happen in UIKit. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Metal (Compositor Services) or RealityKit on visionOS
I am develop visionOS app. I am now very interested in Metal and Compositor Services, but I have not explored them in depth. I know that Metal has a higher degree of control freedom. I am wondering if using Compositor Services will have fewer functions than RealityKit in AR technology (such as scene reconstruction and understanding, hover effect, etc.).

VisionOS: Detect plane to place objects issue for animated objects
Hi, I have used the template code for Plane Detection and placing models on them from here https://developer.apple.com/documentation/visionos/placing-content-on-detected-planes This source code did not copy the animations in the preview model to the PlacedModel and hence I modified it to do a manual copy of animations and textures. There is a function called materialize() that does this and I was able to modify it to get it working where the placed models are now animating. The issue is when I apply gestures on them like drag or rotate. For those models that go through this logic I'm unable to add gestures even though I'm making sure that Collision and Input Target is set on the Placed Models. Has anyone been able to get this working or is it even a possibility? SpatialEventGesture Not Working to Show Hidden Menu in Immersive Panorama View - visionOS Problem Description I'm developing a Vision Pro app that displays 360° panoramic photos in a full immersive space. I have a floating menu that auto-hides after 5 seconds, and I want users to be able to show the menu again using spatial gestures (particularly pinch gestures) when it's hidden. However, the SpatialEventGesture implementation is not working as expected. The menu doesn't appear when users perform pinch gestures or other spatial interactions in the immersive space. SpatialEventGesture implementation: Switched to SpatialEventGesture to handle multiple event types (.touch, .indirectPinch, .pointer), but pinch gestures still don't trigger the menu. Added debugging: Console logs show that the gesture callbacks are never called when performing pinch gestures in the immersive space. Backup LongPressGesture: Added a simultaneous long press gesture as backup, which also doesn't work consistently. Expected Behavior When the panorama menu is hidden (after 5-second auto-hide), users should be able to: Perform a pinch gesture (indirect pinch) to show the menu Tap in space to show the menu Use other spatial gestures to show the menu Questions Is SpatialEventGesture the correct approach for detecting gestures in a full immersive RealityView? Are there any special considerations for gesture detection when the RealityView contains a large panoramic sphere that might be intercepting gestures? Should I be using a different gesture approach for visionOS immersive spaces? Is there a way to ensure gestures work even when the RealityView content (panoramic sphere) might be blocking them? Environment Xcode 16.1 visionOS 2.5 Testing on Vision Pro device App uses SwiftUI + RealityKit Any guidance on the proper way to implement spatial gesture detection in visionOS immersive spaces would be greatly appreciated! ARKit sessionInterruptionEnded never called in Window Mode.
Hi 26 beta guys, I have apps using ARKit. In iPadOS 26 beta, ARKit stops working after switching to other apps. how to: Enable WindowMode in iPadOS 26 Launch my app and start ARSession Switch to another app (preference app, etc.) Switch back to my app AR stops updating camerafeed. I debug printed ARSessionDelegate, and found that after sessionWasInterrupted was called, sessionInterruptionEnded was never called. sessionInterruptionEnded is called if WindowMode disabled. Is this just a bug for 26 beta? I suspect there is similar problem with non-AR camera. Any idea?

What's the relation of SwiftUI frames' sizes and RealityKit Entities sizes
Currently I want to recreate a window which is similar to system window in ImmersiveSpace. But we only can use the meter unit in RealityKit. I create a plane entity, I don't know how to set the size using meter unit to make the plane's size totally consistent with the system window. Also, I want to know the z and y position of the system window in the immersive space.

A question about interacting with entity
I am a newby of spatial computing and I am using ARKit and RealityKit to develop a visionPro app. I want to accomplish such a goal: If the user's hand touchs an object(an entity in RealityView) on the table, it will post a Window. But I do not know how to handle the event "the user's hand touchs the object". Should I use hand tracking feature to do some computing by myself? Or is there some api to use directly? Thank you!

Volumetric Windwos anchores
Hi, we would like to create something where you can open multiple volumetric windows and place them in a room, our biggest issue is that we want these windows to be persistent, so when I close and reopen the app, the windows to be in the same position. We can't use immersive spaces because we also want to have the possibility to access the shared space. Is it possible with the current features and capabilities to do that? If yes do you have some advices how can we achieve this? The alternative is if is it possible to open the virtual display in immersive spaces or if we have the possibility to implement our own virtual display.

Custom Component causing exc_bad_access
Hello, After watching the Work with Reality Composer Pro content in Xcode, I had created the following custom component. public struct TestComponent : Component, Codable{ public var text : String = "helloWorld" public init() {} } I had registered the custom component as suggested in App.init function init() { RealityKitContent.TestComponent.registerComponent() } The custom component is decoded and realityView shows the sphere, when I load the "Scene" from realityKitContent bundle. But if I export the scene to a separate file named "test_scene.usdz" on disk and shared to the simulator and then trying to load it load in reality view causes EXC_BAD_ACCESS #0 0x0000000194c8d508 in Swift._StringObject.getSharedUTF8Start() -> Swift.UnsafePointer<Swift.UInt8> () Printing the loaded entity, shows the customComponent but when trying to load in show realityview , crashes the app immediately. Is there a way to fix it?

[Reality Composer Pro] Detecting Collision in RealityComposerPro scene
Hello! https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/762763 I read this thread, and this is similar to what I'm trying to do. I have two entities in the scene, "HandTrackingEntity", "HandScanner". "HandTrackingEntity": I put Anchoring Component, Collision Component (Trigger) here. "HandScanner": I put Behaviors Component(OnCollision), and Collision Component here. Here is the pictures how I set the components. and I set physicsSimulation property to .none. I was expecting that Timeline will be played when I put my hand(with HandTrackingEntity) on "HandScanner" entity. But it didn't work. Am I missing some steps? And I need sample codes to understand how to apply 'physicsSimulation' property. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know about it.
