Automatic Signing Controls

As an Account Holder, Admin, or App Manager, you can access Xcode automatic signing controls that let you assign restrictions for the Developer role to prevent registration of new App IDs and test devices and modification of existing App IDs. These options enable large organizations to more effectively manage test device slots and App IDs when using Xcode automatic signing.

To enable these controls:

  1. Go to developer.apple.com and on the top right, click Account.
  2. Enter your Apple ID credentials if prompted.
  3. Confirm the right membership is selected by viewing the team name on the top right.
  4. Scroll down to Automatic Signing Controls.
  5. Select the controls you want to enable.

By default, all options are turned off for a membership.
