Apple Pencil Pro not staying connected in iPadOS26 beta
I have a new M4 iPad Air and a brand new Apple Pencil Pro. It was working well until I installed iPadOS 26.0 (23A5297m) beta. Now, when using GoodNotes to write the Pencil functions for about 6-8 seconds and then disconnects for 2-3 seconds and then reconnects. You can imagine how disruptive this is. It does the same thing trying to highlight in the Kindle app, so I think it is an iOS issue. As I write this, I am discovering that the Pencil is not wanting to stay connected at all despite showing up in the list of Bluetooth devices and connecting temporarily. I've tried forgetting and reconnecting the Pencil several times. It is charged to 100%, and I receive the alert that the iPad detects the Pencil. Is anyone else having this issue? Do I need to assume this is being addressed?

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
I updated my iPhone 5S on monday night. I agree with everyone, battery life was horrible. I woke up this morning with 100% and 3 hours so far only lost 9%. with 43 minutes of usage. So it seems, that like early in this post, Siri might be indexing because my battery life has seemed to improve since I've updated.

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
Thanks, just shut down iCloud drive. my usage was Mail Background Activity and Home & Lock Screen. Phone running hot and battery draining. I was using Low Power mode (in Battery in Settings) which ran a bit cooler and maybe preserved battery life but still was draining very quickly. However, my apps that use SpriteKit and SceneKit ran so much faster now that they use Metal (recompiled in XCode Beta) that I'm in awe! I still want my battery life back though. 👿 Seriously, Beta 1.

Reply to Beta Test Philosophy
Only partially correct.True, Betas tend to be battery users. Its expected. And Apple tends to fix these issues before GM.However for those who care, finding things that can improve battery life during the test phases (which tend to last a number of months) is a good thing. If you carry a test device and it runs dry early, testing (and whatever evaulation you might need) stops. Tips for beta battery life can quite effective at times. Its also the case that Apple folks monitor these forums, and may see info that gives them more insight on how to improve both the betas and upcoming GM. Like every other software firm since the start of time, Apple makes mistakes. A major reason for beta testing is gaining insight from the results of the thousands of testers that run the code thorugh countless situations they never find.

iOS 11 built app battery life.
In the last few days I have released an iOS 11 GM built update in the App Store for one of my previously released apps.No major changes just a minor update ready for the general release of iOS 11.So the app now supports iOS 10 and iOS 11.I am gettings reports from users (still using iOS 10 on their devices) that the update is using a lot of their battery.Any one else experineced anything like this? Or any ideas what might be causing it?ThanksSteve
