Reply to Big Sur + SMB based Time Machine
Upgrading to Big Sur caused the same problem for me. I had a samba share on a Linux server working with Catalina (Fedora 33 sharing an ext4 filesystem). To get it going agin, in /etc/smb.conf, explicitly disabling the 'fruit:nfs_aces' global option got my backups going again: fruit:nfs_aces = no

Big Sur
I have a MacBook Air 2018, after downloading Big Sur, I am having connectivity issues with my Blackboard Collaborate. The video goes in and out, and the Audio crackles. In order for it to work, I have to close all my apps. Therefore, I am not able to run multiple apps at once anymore. Please tell me this issue will be addressed?

Big Sur
After updating and installing Big Sur today, nothing is working. System preferences, trash, any icon really. I would like to restore to factory settings and start from scratch, but unable to launch system preferences. My Imac is rendered useless, would very much appreciate and help or to be steered in the right direction. Yasar

Calendar in Big Sur
Is it me, or has making an appointment in Big Sur's Calendar heavily changed? Setting a time is a real bitch - and it was so easy and smooth! Could be that I missed something and that it's possible to keep things as they were. But if that's impossible, I'd like to go back to the old Calendar... (For the rest: Big Sur rocks!)

Big Trouble With Big Sur
After installing the Big Sur Public Beta on a separate partition of the internal drive of my 2017 iMac for a test drive, I seem to be unable to restore the system from a Time Machine backup on the external drive, reinstall the OS from Internet Recovery Mode OR erase and reformat the internal drive from Recovery Mode. I can provide more details if necessary but just wondering if anyone else is having problems.

Big Sur with Egpu
Is Mac OS Big Sur compatible perfectly with eGPU, such as 5700XT? Right now, I am using 16in MBP pro with Catalina 10.15.7 and it works well. Bootcamp also works well with 5700XT. I am wondering if everything will be fine if I update to Mac OS Big Sur.
