Reply to Siri not working in Sierra?
I have a Mac Pro (Late 2013) and the SSD is partitioned into 3 volumes: 2 JHFS+ and 1 NTFS Boot Camp. The 2 macOS partitions are both running 10.12 as of yesterday. For the HFS partitions, the first, I'll call it 1, is my every day use volume. Mail, Safari, VLC... everything I use every day is on 1 and it has a ton of apps. 1 is always the last to get updates for the OS. The second one, 2, is what I call a reference volume. 2 has nothing on it except for any given macOS, sometimes betas (not for 10.12 however). Nothing else is on 2. I've never opened or configured Mail, iCloud, or anything on 2. Maybe used Safari on it once or twice (and then emptied cache and deleted all cookies, etc.)Well, Siri works fine on 2, but functions in NO WAY on 1. I've tried changing the hot keys, rebooting, disabling/re-enabling, reinstalling 10.12 from both the downloaded installer and from a bootable USB stick. She can appear in the menu bar, and in the dock, or just the menu bar only, but clicking on either results in

Reply to Is there a way to pass cookies from my application to SFSafariViewController
Is this a valid way to get cookie stored from app using SFSafariViewController??No. Really, we mean it (-:To expand on mitzpettel’s response, the goạl of SFSafariViewController is to act Just Like Safari™. To do this it has to have access to lots of state that the user might consider private (like their cookies), and the only way that makes sense to allow is if we isolate your app from the user state of SFSafariViewController. If you want a web view whose user state your app can ‘see’, consider using WKWebView. For more background on the relationship between SFSafariViewController and WKWebView, check out WWDC 2015 Session 504 Introducing Safari View Controller.Share and Enjoy — Quinn “The Eskimo!” Apple Developer Relations, Developer Technical Support, Core OS/Hardware let myEmail = eskimo + 1 + @apple.com

Non-persistent cookies in SFSafariViewController
Hey guys,My team is working with web based authentication in an iOS app and we're currently using a SFSafariViewController to get the job done. After a user successfully authenticates through the web page, the server issues a non-persistent cookie, and the problem is that the non-persistent cookie is persisting. Once the app goes to the background the cookie is thrown away, but, as long as our app is in the foreground, it sticks around. This is causing problems with our logout workflow, given that the SFSafariViewControllers are storing unwanted state that automatically logs users in after we've logged them out.Is this a bug or expected behavior from SFSafariViewController?

Unable to print cookies after reopening the browser
Hi,I am actually trying to display my cookies on the screen, but its not working in Safari. My Code looks like this:<?php //setcookie(name, john apple, (time()+(60*60*24*356)));//1 year if(isset($_COOKIE['name'])){ $value=$_COOKIE['name']; echo <pre>.$value.</pre>; }On my PC, its working (firefox), but on IOS, it doesnt work.F.ex., first, I create a cookie called name with setcookie(). Then, I comment out the setcookie() function, because the cookie is already set. I upload the file and reload the page. In Safari, the cookie is only displayed. But if I open a new tab and try the same there (just open the php file), the cookie is not displayed. The same happens if I close Safari and reopen it.The Cookies are not stored on my device. I even set in the settings the cookie permissions to allow all.But in Firefox, everything works (on my PC).Hope you can help me

Reply to iOS 10 crash at _nano_vet_and_size_of_live
I disassembling function nano_free and _nano_vet_and_size_of_live.when use nano_free free a memory, will call _nano_vet_and_size_of_live, in _nano_vet_and_size_of_live there has a interesting test. it read the free memory context( 8 bytes). and xor with a cookie, if the value is equal 0xbaddc0dedeadbead. so think this memory is already free. (at last of nano_free, free memory context was set a val ( cookie xor 0xbaddc0dedeadbead) )It is not a good idea. use a magic number to test a memory free.In binary data, every thing is possible.like this conditionCFMutableStringRef str = CFStringCreateMutable(kCFAllocatorSystemDefault,2);CFStringAppendCString(str, value sameas free magic num, kCFStringEncodingUTF8);this is str in memorystr address+0 isa+8 xx+0x10 pointer to utf8 context。when called CFRelease(str) first call nano_free to free utf8 context. but the magic is same with the string. so , it think the memory already freed!!!

Is "Allow Arbitrary Loads in Web Content" acceptable by Apple review starting from January 2017 ?
Hello,Following the new rules of App Store which will take effect on beginning of 2017, i am in process for preventing arbitrary HTTP loads in an iOS application which i am one of its developers. Is Allow Arbitrary Loads in Web Content acceptable by Apple's App Store review anymore from January 2017 ?In fact, the iOS app that i am working on, contains a UIWebView where it requires doing several HTTP requests to work properly, and the problem is that i can't define all the domains that it needs as exceptions domains, because they change and not managed by me, so i am obliged to use Allow Arbitrary Loads in Web Content in the app's Info.plist for my UIWebView to work properly.I tried to use an SFSafariViewController to escape from using Allow Arbitrary Loads in Web Content, but the problem that i need to set a cookie in my webpage, and i can do it only using a UIWebView. Thanks in advance,Bassel

Reading secure, HTTP-only cookies sent from the server in a WKWebView?
Hi,I'm trying to integrate an authentication flow by embedding a web view in my app using WKWebView. The idea is that the user enters his or hers credentials in the web view, which consequentially makes an XHR request that performs authentication. The response of this XHR request uses the Set-Cookie header to set an authentication cookie. Is there any way to read this cookie from the WKWebView using public and documented APIs? So far I'm all out of luck, having tried both HTTPCookieStorage and WKWebsiteDataStore to no avail. I've never been able to read any cookies using HTTPCookieStorage. Using WKWebsiteDataStore I seem to be able to see the cookies, but I can't access their data.Any help is greatly appreciated.Regards,Viktor

WKWebView & Third party cookies
Access the web via the WKWebView's loadRequest method.I want to save the returned third-party cookies and upload the data with third-party cookies when accessing the web page, but I find that the third-party cookies are missing when I upload the data. After opening NSHTTPCookieAcceptPolicyAlways, found the two problems:1. when the first use of the app, the third-party cookies lost. After the re-open the app, third-party cookies are not lost.2. when the first use of the app to visit the other web, then visit the web which i want to visit, third-party cookies are not lost.I would like to ask is:How WKWebView handles third-party cookies? If you do not have NSHTTPCookieAcceptPolicyAlways, why third-party cookies has not been saved? How to set up to solve the problem that third-party cookies lost when uploading data?
