Need MetricKit Implementation details for MacOS background Application, mainly for
Hi, We are trying to integrate Metric Kit into our MacOS Application. Our application is a background process. We are interested in getting CPU and Memory metrics for our process. MXMetricPayload is the one we are looking at. We tried to integrate metric Kit and left the background app for 24 hours, we did not get any callback. So, does metric kit work for background app in MacOS? Also does it for Network Extension?

4.3(b) Appeal Pending for 23 Days - No Visibility in Resolution Center
Hello everyone, I am looking for some advice or shared experiences regarding a prolonged App Review Board appeal process. I submitted my app earlier this month. On March 3rd, it was rejected under guideline 4.3(b) Spam. On the exact same day (March 3rd), I submitted a detailed appeal to the App Review Board. In my appeal, I provided clear documentation and explanations to prove that the app is not a generic template. I specifically highlighted our proprietary algorithm that calculates a unique total daily energy percentage for users, which distinctly separates it from standard, saturated apps in the market. The issue: It has now been 23 days since I submitted the appeal, and I have not received any response from the Board. My main concern is the lack of visibility. Since appeals to the Board do not appear in the Resolution Center UI, I have no way of knowing if my ticket is actually actively open, in a queue, or if it has been lo

@DTS Engineer We try uploading with the new 26.5 beta. Unfortunatly, it doesn't help. The app clip section in the form of the product page is still KO when saving. Since we have no answer in the bug ticket we submitted FB22334662, could you please ask a tech member to help us with this issue? We are totally stuck in deploying a version of the app clip Thank you in advance

Thanks for bringing this to the forums.
But would you be aware of a reason that would explain the delay observed by these customers?
No. And the fact that this only happens at specific sites makes it hard to offer useful insight. What I can do is suggest a path for investigating this. IMPORTANT I’m gonna assume you’re familiar with the system log. If not, read Your Friend the System Log. I’m also going to suggest an approach that’s kinda like the one I outlined in Using a Sysdiagnose Log to Debug a Hard-to-Reproduce Problem, so you might want to read that for more background. The canonical tool for investigating issues like this is a sysdiagnose log. In a case like this that’s only going to work if you have a customer who is reasonably technically savvy and willing to help you debug. A further complication is that NE content filter data providers can’t log to the system log when signed for distribution. They can only add

No internet after reboot for 90s
Development environment: Xcode 26.4, macOS 26.3.1 Run-time configuration: iOS 18.7.6 and higher We have an application running on supervised devices, with an MDM profile typically deployed via jamf. The profile enables a Content Filter, with the two flags Socket Filter and Browser Filter set to true. On the device side, we implement the content filter as a network extension via: a class FilterDataProvider extending NEFilterDataProvider, a class FilterControlProvider extending NEFilerControlProvider. For the record, the FilterDataProvider overrides the handle*() methods to allow all traffic; the handleNewFlow() simply reports the new connection to FilterControlProvider for analysis. Problem: some customers reported that after a reboot of their device, they would not get access to the internet for up to 60s/90s. We have not been able to reproduce the problem on our own devices. What we see is that, even with our app uninstalled, without any Content Filter, it takes roughly 20

NSTextAttachment.character symbol suddenly not available anymore resulting in compiler error
I published the latest update of my AppKit app in September with macOS 26.0. I just wanted to create a new update, but compiling on macOS 26.4 now fails because of the symbol NSTextAttachment.character which is referenced in my code. The error is Type 'NSTextAttachment' has no member 'character' I've never experienced before that a symbol suddenly is not available anymore without even a deprecation notice from one OS release to the next, let alone a minor release. Is this a bug in macOS or Xcode, or should I start worrying about symbols becoming unavailable anytime?

App Review stuck for weeks on individual account, expedite requests ignored, multiple apps affected
Hello everyone, I am trying to understand whether this is a normal delay or if there may be an account-level review issue affecting my submissions. I am an individual developer. I submitted my first app for review on March 14, 2026. It remained without a meaningful response until March 31, 2026. During this time, I sent three expedite review requests, but none of them helped. Because nothing moved, I withdrew the previous submission and uploaded a third build for the same app. However, the app is still stuck in review flow. At the same time, I submitted my second app on March 22, 2026. I also requested an expedite review for that app, but it is still in Waiting for Review as well. So currently: • App 1 was first submitted on March 14, 2026 • Multiple expedite requests were sent • The original submission was withdrawn and a new build was submitted • App 2 was submitted on March 22, 2026 • Both apps have been heav

`NEProxySettings.matchDomains` / `exceptionList` not working as expected in `NEPacketTunnelProvider` (domain-scoped proxy not applied, and exceptions not bypassed)
I’m working on an iOS Network Extension where a NEPacketTunnelProviderconfigures a local HTTP/HTTPS proxy usingNEPacketTunnelNetworkSettings.proxySettings. Per NEProxySettings.exceptionList docs: If the destination host name of an HTTP connection matches one of these patterns then the proxy settings will not be used for the connection. However, I’m seeing two distinct issues: Issue A (exception bypass not working): HTTPS traffic to a host that matches exceptionList still reaches the proxy. Issue B (domain-scoped proxy not applied): When matchDomains is set to match a specific domain (example: [googlevideo.com]), I still observe its traffic in some apps is not proxied. If I remove the domain from matchDomains, the same traffic is proxied. Environment OS: iOS (reproduced with 26.4 and other versions) Devices: Reproduced with several iPhones (likely iPads as well) Xcode: 26.3 Extension: NEPacketTunnelProvider Minimal Repro (code) This is the minimal configuration. Are you actually building a VPN product? I suspect that’s not the case, given that you’re using a placeholder for tunnelRemoteAddress. And if that’s true then… well… there are limits to how much I can help you here. My experience is that developers often try to use a packet tunnel provider for things that are not VPN. DTS doesn’t support those efforts because they tend to be very brittle. One of my erstwhile colleagues even wrote a technote about this, namely, TN3120 Expected use cases for Network Extension packet tunnel providers. If you’re trying to use a packet tunnel provider for something that isn’t VPN, I recommend that you watch WWDC 2025 Session 234 Filter and tunnel network traffic with NetworkExtension, where one of the engineers from the NE team explains the various alternatives that are available to you, including the new URL filter provider.
