HiI have Catalina OS and Xcode 11.1 when creating new project I see the types iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS so shouldnt I seeipadOS as well or im missing something ?Kindest Regards
I also get the console warning 'Can't end BackgroundTask: no background task exists with identifier 2 (0x2), or it may have already been ended. Break in UIApplicationEndBackgroundTaskError() to debug.' when my app goes to the background.I'm on iPadOS 13.2 beta and using Xcode 11.2 beta (11B41). Adding a symbolic breakpoint to 'UIApplicationEndBackgroundTaskError' just gives a useless call stack. My app doesn't explictly create a background task, but I have checked the 'Audio, AirPlay and Picture in Picture' Background Mode option in the Xcode project's 'Signing & Capabilities' page as my app needs to continue playing audio when in the background.Aside from the console warning, everying behaves as expected (audio continues to play in the background) but it would be nice to get a confirmation that this issue is benign.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM With latest release of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, facing following challenges Problem Statement - Create an HTML File with some Javascript code in it. - Javascript is used to Hide/Show contents of Html Page based on some business logic. - Send this file as a Mail Attachment. - Try Opening File in the latest iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 devices from Apple Mail or Gmail App. - File Gets Opened in WebView, but JavaScript is not Executing. This behavior has broken our business Scenario handling. On the previous version of the iOS release, this was working fine. Is there any way by which we can Execute Javascript in webView in the near future? Also, is this documented somewhere? Any Documentation from Apple's site would help.
Use the iOS project templates to make an iPadOS app.To limit your app to the iPad, select the project file on the left side of the project window to open the project editor. Select the app target from the project editor. In the Deployment Info section, deselect the iPhone checkbox in the Device column.

ipadOS as a stand alone entity seems a bit of smoke/mirrors at this point - follows szymczyk's advice otherwise.

It has been several hours and the device will not power off or force restart. It recognizes the attempts and puts a message up below the progress bar indication it will restart when the update is complete. Has anyone else seen this, and what suggestions for recovering from this?
Downloaded the update but can't verify. Message states I'm no longer connected to the internet despite being connected with Safari, Mail & the App Store all working.
Here's what you will have to do:Put the iPad in DFU mode. Do a search for how to put an iPhone X or Xs or 11 into DFU mode. Same button pressings apply.Restore your ipad to the last good version of iPadOS (13.1.2). iTunes will do that automatically after it downloads it.Download the ipsw for iPadOS 13.2 beta 2 and install it via iTunes (if on below Catalina). The ipsw was not there earlier today but is there now.Alternatively you may try to do an OTA update, however earlier today the OTA update for iPadOS 13.2 beta 2 was not verifiable (got the not connected to the internet issue even though connectivity was not an issue) so this may not work. I suspect that the full update had issues so that is why it wasn't verifiable.I will be doing it via iTunes restoring using the 13.2 beta ipsw.

We have been updating our apps since iOS 8, we haven't really had any problems up until now. With iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, it looks like the same app runs on iPhones, but on iPads the app gets stuck on the initial screen, without any warnings in the console. We do audio streaming in the background and if it helps, we are using those kits:UIKitWebKitStoreKitAVKitFoundationUserNotificationsUserNotificationsUIMediaPlayer.MPNowPlayingInfoCenterMediaPlayer.MPMediaItemI've been trying to get my head around why I'm getting a different behaviour on iPhones. I would appreaciate any help.
Can't manage to get the dock to show up when I attempt to swipe up from the bottom of the screen on iPad simulator (9.7 inch) running iPadOS 13.1. Anyone else having trouble testing this in the simulator?
I see there is a sample project here Supporting Multiple Windows on iPad.This sample seems to just have a basic duplicate instance of the same app window. Is there a more advanced sample project showing all the different types of windows you can make (auxiliary windows, ect.) and enabling 'close' when you slide the window down to the bottom? In the sample project the window just pops back up.
Apps with File Provider extensions (com.apple.fileprovider-nonui) can add new locations to the Files app and inside these locations custom actions can be added to items using a File Provider UI extension (com.apple.fileprovider-actionsui).On iOS 13 and iPadOS these actions are shown in a context menu. The system actions all have an icon (SF Symbol) but I cannot find out how to specify icons for custom actions my app adds to this list and this makes my custom actions look out of place.Anyone know how to specify the icon for File Provider UI extension?
On iOS/iPadOS, with a USB microphone connected, the 'availableInputs' property of AVAudioSession's sharedInstance returns AVAudioSessionPortDescriptions for both the built-in microphone and the USB microphone. On macOS, in an iPad app built for macOS using Catalyst, the only AVAudioSessionPortDescription returned is for a device named 'CADefaultDeviceAggregate-xxxx-x' (where different combinations of numbers occupy the characters designated by 'x'), even when several USB audio devices are connected to the Mac.We would like for our app to be able to switch between the built-in microphone and external USB microphones (or other USB audio devices) in the Mac version, just as it does in the iPad version. I understand that the user has multiple options for selecting the current audio input/output devices used by the system (System Preferences: Sound and Audio MIDI Setup). However, in order for the Mac version of our iPad app to work, we at least need to get the correct device name and UID for the selected
