“Account Locked”

Are you using the iCloud panel or Internet Accounts panel? Do you have more than one instance of iCloud in Internet Accounts?I've had better luck with trying to remove from Internet Accounts rather than iCloud.

I'm not having such a crashing issue, more such that my iCloud account refuses to link. All my third party accounts will.Do you have any account besided iCloud linked?

I have an old-school appleID which is not an email address, and when I tried to resend verification email it said Your email is already verified for use with another Apple ID. So I had to disassociate that email address from the other account before I could verify on this one. After doing that, I was able to get in and download betas.So my guess is that the recent changes would have caused this problem for anyone using the same email address either as an Apple ID or as an Apple ID verification email address.

Good idea, but unfortunately it's got the same behavior inside Internet Accounts. But I do have three versions of the same iCloud account in there...

Yeah, I found that working in there to remove the accounts gives you some wiggle room... you almost have to time it. It's like one account is being removed while the others are re-applying the settings... it's dumb 🙂

Could you access it before? I've seen similar message on Enterprise account that don't use iTunes Connect to distribute apps.

You'll need to remove email from your other Apple ID account, or change the email address linked to by your dev Apple ID account, and then verify the email address.

From what other account? I'm in the same boat as you, I have an apple ID that is not an email format. My mac.com email address is my main apple ID that I use for iTunes, iCloud, etc. Can you elaborate a bit? I setup an alternate email address on my developer account and verified that adress but I'm still being redirected to the apple ID page.

I ended up making another user account and migrating my data to it.Best of both worlds -- clean El Capitan install with all my data intact.

That fixed it, after creating a new email account, then changing the primary email addr to the new email account, and verifying the new email account. (what a pain...). Of course, the existing email account I would have preferred to change it to (rather than creating a brand new one) was also unavailable, because it had been previously specified as the emergency retrieval account ... or whatever they call it - can't remember now...), and naturally, there was no way to re-assign that one... arggh 😠Appears to be working now... Xcode 7 beta is now downloading (slowly...)Thanks for you help!

Check Agreements, Tax & Banking via iTunes Connect to see if any need requesting. Mine took most of the day before it showed up there. There may also be agreements in the Member Center for the betas, etc., so be sure to check there too, under 'My Account'.
