iOS 26 Webview and alert issue
Hello, In iOS 26 beta, we are seeing an unexpected behavior when using SwiftUI WebView (or a custom WKWebView via UIViewRepresentable). When an alert is presented above the WebView, the WebView immediately reloads to its initial page. The alert itself also disappears instantly, making it impossible for the user to interact with it. This issue occurs both with the new SwiftUI WebView / WebPage API and with a wrapped WKWebView. The problem was not present in previous iOS versions (iOS 17/18). Steps to reproduce: Create a SwiftUI view with a WebView (pointing to any URL). Add a toolbar button that toggles a SwiftUI alert. Run the app on iOS 26 beta. Tap the button to trigger the alert. Expected behavior: The WebView should remain as-is, and the alert should stay visible until the user dismisses it. Actual behavior: As soon as the alert appears, the WebView reloads and resets to the initial page. The alert disappears immediately. Minimal Exam

Reply to IOS 26 - Lock Iphone during install on "low battery" page
I was just in the same boat but was able to boot into DFU mode to resolve it. I was running the latest 18.5 beta on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Decided to try the iOS 26 dev beta (like I do every year) and encountered my first soft brick situation...got stuck on the battery splash as described here. Putting the device in DFU mode (direct firmware update) allowed me to restore using my Mac. Keep in mind this will wipe your device, but I'm an iCloud user so not worried about that, and using my phone in general was most important to me. 9to5 Mac has a pretty good article on using DFU mode. Keep in mind when done right, you will not see an Apple logo or any splash, you'll see a black screen. Then when plugging into your Mac it will be recognized (unlike with the battery splash). Good Luck.

Reply to No New Beta This Week
There in an interesting explaination as to why there is a regular beta drought at around this time of year offered here: Re: iOS 9 beta 6. The meat of which is:For June and July, Apple develops their next major release via two forks- the beta fork and the secret fork. The secret fork includes support for the unreleased hardware. The last few secrets have been Siri for iOS 5, 4 support for iOS 6, Touch ID support for iOS 7, and large screen support for iOS 8. Now come August, Apple must begin the work of integrating the secret fork into the beta fork to create one release build. From the start of the integration until the iPhone September event, Apple is unable to release betas without disclosing secrets. For that reason, there are never any betas during that time. This takes about a month- 34 days for iOS 5, 37 days for iOS 6, 26 days for iOS 7, and 36 days for iOS

Urgent Feature Request: Auto-Hide Home Bar in iOS 18.x Based on iOS 26 Beta Experience
Hello Apple Engineering Team and Fellow Developers, I’ve been using iOS 26 beta from day one and closely following all its improvements. One feature that significantly enhances the user experience is the automatic hiding of the Home Bar (the bottom navigation indicator) after a few seconds of inactivity in menus and apps. This subtle but powerful UI behavior not only increases immersion but also reduces distractions, making navigation smoother and visually cleaner. I strongly urge the Apple team to integrate this feature into the upcoming iOS 18.6 update. Bringing this polished interaction to iOS 18 users would greatly improve usability and keep the interface modern and elegant. Thank you for your continuous efforts in refining iOS. Looking forward to seeing this improvement officially adopted soon! Best regards, [ERFANEX]

Reply to Initializing LanguageModelSession crashes app on macOS
Also facing this issue when trying to initialize LanguageModelSession in our project when using Xcode 26 Beta 5. I had no issues using Beta 3 version. When running the FoundationModels sample projects and a basic SwiftUI project, I am also crashing at launch with the following error. I am on macOS Sequoia 15.5 running Xcode 26 Beta 5 on and iPhone 16 - iOS 26 device. Thank you!

We can’t see Large Title on NavigationBar on iOS 26
Apps built with the iOS 26 beta SDK do not display largeTitle. When we built with iOS 18 SDK, it displayed correctly. The official reference shows that a property named largeTitle has been added since iOS 26 beta. However, setting this did not change the result. Does anyone know how to implement the property?
