“iPhone 16 pro”

I restored it as a part of the developer update for iOS9. Prior to iOS9, on iOS8, this happened for each time there was an update released. I don't understand why I would lose data if I can back-up my iPhone and my iPad and have all of the same apps, settings, and data. There is a 'restore from backup' option upon completing the update, but each time I also have set-up the watch preferences again (age, ***, height, weight) etc. for Activity. It wipes all my previous Activity history. I'm not sure why the back-up even exists because if it were truly a back-up, it would have this data and I wouldn't need to set-up the watch preferences again like it was a brand new Apple Wath each time.

An update on this, I was able to restart my phone using the home and power button method, I got through the setup and got to my home screen.I proceeded to sync my phone, and after preparing apps for sync, iTunes comes up with a Waiting for changes to be applied, and my phone is back in the respring loop, iTunes still waiting...

Another update:So if I cancel the task in iTunes, my phone stops doing the silly reboot. I shut Find My iPhone off again and am restoring the backup again. Hopefully will have some progress on this.

Yes! This has been happening to me as well. This workaround has worked reliably for me... 1. Stop any updates that are currently trying. 2. Turn off Wifi. 3. Find the smallest app that needs updating (to conserve OTA data) and tap Update. 4. Once it starts downloading, kick on Wifi. 5. Hit Update All. The apps should start downloading and installing. Tried to stick a proxy between the phone and my computer to sniff the packets, but that failed... Not sure why this is happening. Same issue on my home and work wifi. A reboot also fixes it... But that takes forever. 🙂-T

Same goes for me. Cant receive or make any calls on my phone after upgrading to ios 9 beta. Worked one time though, taking a call om my mac.

Thank you for your reply. I used jailbroken phone to get the memory dump. The issue is not because of jailbroken phone, the url requests and responses stay in the memory reguardless it's jailbroken or not.

Same thing for me. Have 6 Plus and was experiencing almost 98% battery drain over 18 hour period with no use. Re-installed the update over the first one and my phone is still at 100% after a couple of hours of no use. So, it seems to have helped. Will know in a few more hours.
