I'm getting set to release an app. However, in a year, plan to release Version 2.0. 2.0 would be be a massive update, and I don't want to give it out for free to V1.0 owners. How should I handle this?Any advice? Thanks!

Same for me here, iPhone 7 with iOS 14.2 update. Went to bed with 100% and woke up 6 hrs later on 30%. I literally sit on couch for 2 minutes and watch it go from 30 to 24% battery. When charging my phone now it takes forever to charge and almost never gets to 100% charged anymore. Also like others I can feel how warm the phone is now even when not using it. Apple really needs to fix this issue ASAP or provide new phones for everyone experiencing this issue. So frustrating.

Hello friends,Yesterday morning, I have to experience a weird behavior of my ipad mini2. Day before yesterday night my ipad mini 2 was at 12% charge and I was trying to install the ios 11 (developer beta version), the download of the software happened in less than 10 mins and since my ipad was connected to a wall adapter, the system allowed to install the software (even though the charge is 12% but still connected to wall adapter).I was seeing that the update was taking almost 20 mins with the progress bar showing the loading. I fell asleep and woke up after 4 hours to see that my ipad was showing an apple logo and was bit hot. (Not too hot rather). After that I removed the cable and it showed me the connected to charger logo!!!Looked like battery drained, but I connected to the charger and the ipad was showing that the device is charging (black screen with battery icon in middle with red line at the base of the battery icon - the screen before the ipad starts)After 15 to 20
Would really appreciate if Apple did a gesture for the return button. It feels like the row of options in the pencil menu are ordered for right handed people (and not us lefties!) so there should also be an option to reverse it - I.e. The undo/redo buttons for a left handed person should be on the right/at the bottom of the fully expanded menu depending on the selected orientation of the menu if that makes sense. These two things would be a great uplift to Apple's accessibility offering!

Anyone else notice the sound the watch makes when placed on a charger is missing in beta 4 and 5?
I have recently bought a Iphone 12 pro along with a new lighting cable having C Type input. Since I was unware of this, I did not purchase the resembling doc. Can I use my Iphone X charger in place of it? Would it hamper the battery performance of my new iPhone 13 pro?
With a lot of traditional software you buy it once and then pay a lesser price for occasional major version updates. I kind of liked that model, but it's not directly supported by the app store. What is the recommended replacement - subscriptions? I can see a few ways to do it...1. A subscription (probably yearly). If the subscription expires, then the app could keep running but disable the new features added after the subscription expired. 2. Non-consumable IAP to enable the full features of each major version. So you'd have IAPs like Full app version 1, Full app version 2, ...3. Non-consumable IAP to enable features sets. Similar to #2 but instead of naming them by version I'd have to name groups of features.I guess I like #1 but it's new to me and I'm afraid it will scare away users because it's asking for a continuous payment.
My SingletonHelper class reads as: class SingletonHelper : NSObject{ private override init(){} static let shared = SingletonHelper() var firstRunFlag = true } And the messageReceived() in my SafariExtensionHandler class reads as: if SingletonHelper.shared.firstRunFlag == true{ NSWorkspace.shared.open(url) SingletonHelper.shared.firstRunFlag = false } Ideally, the url would have opened up whenever the user opens Safari after right-clicking and quitting Safari. However, for some reason, it also opens up when I connect and disconnect my charging cable. Why is connecting and disconnecting the cable resetting the firstRunFlag?

I've had to do a hard reset on my iPad Air three times in five days now to get it off the black screen with faint grey spinner after a night on charge. This morning, it would only show the battery flat screen (after being plugged into the charger all night). Wouldn't subsequently charge with the wall charger at all. Plugged it into my iMac. Took iTunes at least 10min to recognise it (I went away and left it for awhile). It then came back to life, on 3% charge, but still won't charge on any wall charger. Have tried both a restart and hard reset; no go. Both actions interestingly left the iPad unresponsive again until plugged back in to the iMac. Looks like it's now unusable unfortunately & I'll have to restore back to a previous version until the next beta comes out.
Charges fine with the lightning cable; won’t charge on my wireless Seneo fast charger; yet all the lights are green. Cables should be good. Only fix is to reset settings but I can’t do it for the umpteenth time....any other fixes?
Update - MacBook charged when plugged into a usbc 100w - still does not show the device is charging and always shows running on battery - plugged in overnight and still showed 12% this morning - rebooted then showed 100% Iphone will charge off wireless charging but no charging while plugged into usbc

The first thing I'd check is to see if the local drive is mounted with noatime set, and the pen drive doesn't have it set. It might have nothing to do with your system extension.

I am using a credit system and would like to know if it's possible to charge users for the full weekly subscription if they upgrade to a yearly plan after using all their weekly credits within one day. My goal is to ensure that users are billed for the entire weekly period in such cases. Is this compliant with Apple's App Store policies?
After the IOS 14 update, I noticed my phone being extremely hot and the battery draining so fast. I use the phone on average 4-5 hours a day, I have to charge my phone at midday and then it takes forever to charge because the phone is so hot. I got the 11 pro max for the long battery life, now Apple has taken that away. Never had any of these issues before the update. Apple, please find a bug fix quickly!!
