I am writing an app that parses text and conducts some actions. I don't want to give too much away ;) However, I am having a huge problem with token sizes. LanguageModelSession will of course give me the on device model 4096 available, but when you go over 4096, my code doesn't seem to be falling back to PCC, or even the system configured ChatGPT. Can anyone assist me with this? For some reason, after reading the docs, it's very unclear how this transition between the three takes place.

My app lets you create images with Image Playground. When the user approves an image I move it to the documents dir from the temp storage. With over a year of usage I’ve created a lot of images over time. Out of nowhere the app stopped loading my custom creations from Image Playground saying it couldn’t find the files. It still had my VoiceOver strings I had added for each image and still had the custom categories I assigned them. Debug code to look in the docs dir doesn’t find them. I downloaded the app’s container and only see the images I created as a test after the problem started. But my ~70MB app is still taking up 300MB on my iPhone so it feels like they’re there but not accessible. Is there anything else I can try?

Hi, I am modifying the sample camera app that is here: https://developer.apple.com/tutorials/sample-apps/capturingphotos-camerapreview ... In the processPreviewImages, I am using the Vision APIs to generate a segmentation mask for a person/object, then compositing that person onto a different background (with some other filtering). The filtering and compositing is done via CoreImage. At the end, I convert the CIImage to a CGImage then to a SwiftUI Image. When I run it on my iPhone, it works fine, and has not crashed. When I run it on the iPhone with the debugger, it crashes within a few seconds with: EXC_BAD_ACCESS in libRPAC.dylib`std::__1::__hash_table<std::__1::__hash_value_type<long, qos_info_t>, std::__1::__unordered_map_hasher<long, std::__1::__hash_value_type<long, qos_info_t>, std::__1::hash, std::__1::equal_to, true>, std::__1::__unordered_map_equal<long, std::__1::__hash_value_type<long, qos_info_t>, std::__1::equal_to, std::__1::hash, true>, std::__1::allocator<std::__1::__hash_value_type<long, qos_info_t>>>::__emplace_unique_key_args<long, std::__1::piecewise_construct_t const&, std::__1::tuple<long const&>, std::__1::tuple<>>: It had previously been working fine with the debugger, so I'm not sure what has changed. Is there a difference in how the Vision APIs are executed if the debugger is attached vs. not?

I have recently been having trouble with my iOS 18.2 beta update. It has been 2 weeks since I have updated to iOS 18.2 beta and joined the Genmoji and image playground waitlist. I am wondering how much longer I have to wait till my request is approved.

I'm writing about Apple Intelligence and I reached the point I have to explain App Intent Domains https://developer.apple.com/documentation/AppIntents/app-intent-domains but I noticed that there is a note explaining that these services are not available with Siri. I tried the example provided by Apple at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/AppIntents/making-your-app-s-functionality-available-to-siri and I can only make the intents work from the Shortcuts App, but not from Siri. Is this correct. App Intent Domains are still not available with Siri? Thanks

My app used app intents. And when user said "Prüfung der Bluetooth Funktion", screen can show the whole words. But in my app, it only can get "Bluetooth Funktion". This behaviour only happened in German version. In English version, everything worked well. Is anyone can support me? Why German version siri cut my words?

I would appreciate it if anyone could clarify whether Apple Intelligence currently supports any exclusion configuration for AI-assisted features. I didn't run benchmarks before update, but it seems at least 5x slower. Of course all the LLM work is on remote servers, so is non-intuitive to me this should be happening. Had updated MacOS and Xcode to 26.1RC at the same time, so can't even say I think it is MacOS or I think it is Xcode. Before the update the progress indicator for each piece of code might seem to get stuck at the very end (and toggling between Navigators and Coding Assistant) in Xcode UI seemed to refresh the UI and confirm coding complete... but now it seems progress races to 50%, then often is stuck at 75%... well earlier than used to get stuck. And it like something is legitimately processing not just a UI glitch. I'm wondering if this is somehow tied to visual rendering of the code in the little white window? CMD-TAB into Xcode seems laggy. Xcode is pinning a CPU. Why, this is all remote LLM work? MacBook Pro 2021 M1 64GB RAM. Went from 26.01 to 26.1RC. Didn't touch any of the betas until RC1.

This post should be available for the future Siri updates and improvements but also for wishes in this forum so that everyone can share their opinion and idea please stay friendly. have fun! I had already thought about developing a demo app to demonstrate my idea for a better Siri. My change of many: Wish Update: Siri's language recognition capabilities have been significantly enhanced. Instead of manually setting the language, Siri can now automatically recognize the language you intend to use, making language switching much more efficient. Simply speak the language you want to communicate in, and Siri will automatically recognize it and respond accordingly. Whether you speak English, German, or Japanese, Siri will respond in the language you choose.

Would there be a popup automatically shown to a user saying to enable Apple Intelligence if our user has the toggle turned off? Just curious about how that experience looks for both us as developers and users.

I found what might be a bug with enabling Apple Intelligence when switching languages. When my iPhone's language is set to Catalan, the Apple Intelligence is disabled because it is not available for that language. Switching to Spanish doesn't activate it, and it still shows the same message of being unavailable, this time saying not available in Spanish (which is not true). However, it is enabled when the phone is rebooted. Once at this point, the bug becomes even weirder. Having the iPhone language set to Spanish and with Apple Intelligence on, I switch the language to Catalan, and the feature remains enabled. After I ask a query in Catalan, it surprisingly understands it and works, but then it gets disabled. Apart from that, as user feedback, I would love to activate Apple Intelligence in an available language other than my device's language. That's how I always used Siri (iPhone in Catalan, Siri in Spanish). Thanks!

Lookin for J - is this a safe place for discussing full apps ive built but not submitted or shared , I have maybe over 100 but had been unaware any assistance was provided.. is there a formal process to take to submit an app fro review to improve OS, other than during App Store review.

I am using the iPhone 17 Pro simulator that was included with Xcode 26.0.1. My Mac is running macOS 26. When I started the simulator for the first time I got the "Ready for Apple Intelligence" notification but when I access Image Playground in my app it says it is not available on this iPhone. Any solution to get it working on the simulator?

The developer tutorial for visual intelligence indicates that the method to detect and handle taps on a displayed entity from the Search section is via an "OpenIntent" associated with your entity. However, running this intent executes code from within my app. If I have the perform() method display UI, it always displays UI from within my app. I noticed that the Google app's integration to visual intelligence has a different behavior-- tapping on an entity does not take you to the Google app -- instead, a Webview is presented sheet-style WITHIN the Visual Intelligence environment (see below) How is that accomplished?
