What actionable strategies are most effective for optimizing an app’s ranking on the App Store?
Getting early traction can be challenging for a retail app. Beyond running ads, work on improving your App Store and Play Store presence through better screenshots, descriptions and keyword choices. You can also promote the app directly to existing customers with in store QR codes, social media and small influencer partnerships to get your first new users.

App Store Ratings and Reviews Missing or Disappearing
Hello everyone, We’ve recently noticed an issue with our app’s ratings and reviews on the App Store. Some users have informed us that they left ratings and/or reviews, but these never appeared. Additionally, we’ve observed some reviews disappearing after they were initially visible. We contacted Apple Support, and while they pointed us to the App Store terms and conditions—indicating that Apple has discretion over review removal—we’re trying to determine if there might be a technical reason behind this behavior. Here are some specifics: It has been a while since we’ve seen any new ratings or reviews, even though users have confirmed submitting them. Some reviews that were previously approved and visible have disappeared without explanation. We’ve ensured—to the extent possible—that our app complies with all guidelines and policies, so we’re ruling out violations as the cause for now. Since the app is still new, even a few ratings or reviews missing is quite impactful. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Could this be related to a known bug or technical limitation? For example, could regional settings, delays in processing reviews, or other factors be affecting visibility? We would greatly appreciate any advice on how to investigate this further or escalate the matter effectively. If you’ve encountered this before, what steps did you take to resolve it? Thank you for your help!

Set base price and currency for app package in App Store Connect
For apps, I can select a base price and region (currency) so that prices for other regions adapt automatically, but for app packages I can only set a base price in USD. I just noticed that my app package wasn't visible on the App Store anymore because of an automatic price change which caused its price in USD to become invalid (too low), as it was below the highest app price within the package. Is it intended that I have to monitor price changes and manually correct prices for app packages? I created FB22093289.

App Clip card shows "App Clip Unavailable” after app release (Status: Received)
We are facing an issue where our App Clip card appears when scanning the QR code, but displays “App Clip Unavailable” even though the main app is already live on the App Store. App Details • App Name: ExpRE – Experiencing Reality • Main App Bundle ID: com.livingmedia.adplayer • App Clip Bundle ID: com.livingmedia.adplayer.Clip • Apple ID: 6758887250 • Team ID: 9NU8HZB68A Current Status: • Main app status: Ready for Distribution (visible on App Store) • App Clip Advanced Experience status: Received • App Clip Experience URL: https://aaj-tak-test-app.web.app Issue Description When scanning the QR code linked to the App Clip Experience: • The App Clip card with image appears • But the card shows the message: “App Clip Unavailable” Additional Observations • The default App Clip link opens correctly: https://appclip.apple.com/id?p=com.livingmedia.adplayer.Clip • Advanced App Clip Experience status still shows “Received”. • Also if there is testflight build then clip card work. But fresh install with QR with link show App clip Unavailable in card. Question Is there an additional propagation or approval step required after the status becomes Received for Advanced App Clip Experiences? How long does it typically take for the App Clip to become publicly available after the main app is released? In iphone developer I checked with Diagnostics in App clip testing.

Struggling to get my app noticed after launch — any tips to boost ranking on the App Store?
Start by refining your metadata with keyword-rich titles, subtitles, and descriptions that match user intent. Use high-quality screenshots, app previews, and localized content to improve visibility. Focus on user engagement through regular updates, positive reviews, and consistent installs. Higher retention and active user signals naturally help your app climb the App Store rankings.

Key lessons after two months of building my first iOS app
After nearly ten years in Android development, I finally built a native iOS app, sharing the journey publicly while learning Swift and SwiftUI, using AI selectively, and finding the platform familiar yet different in tooling, concurrency, and culture. I reached production without initially buying a developer account and faced a stricter, iterative App Store review process than the Play Store, with several rejections that ultimately clarified Apple’s quality standards and expectations.

Seeking Advice on App Store Optimization for a New App With Low Initial Traction
I launched my app on the App Store and Google Play about two months ago and despite improving the icon and screenshots I have only reached around 40 downloads which makes me believe ASO is my main challenge. I started using ASO tools like TryAstro and AppTweak but the keyword metrics such as volume 39 and difficulty 0 are confusing so I would appreciate guidance on interpreting this data and on effective ASO strategies for a new app with minimal downloads or ratings.

App Store Connect – No verification or response for production release
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with App Store Connect regarding the production release of my app. I submitted my app and contacted App Store Connect support because I haven’t received any verification or confirmation to proceed with the production release, but I still haven’t received any response. It has been over two weeks since I first contacted them. According to Apple’s documentation, support responses usually take around 48 hours, so I’m a bit concerned. My app is currently not moving forward to production, and I don’t see any clear indication of what is missing or if additional action is required from my side. I’ve checked App Store Connect notifications and my email (including spam), but there’s nothing. Has anyone experienced a similar situation recently? Is there a recommended way to escalate this issue (specific support category, phone call, or another process)? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Promo Code for Approved, but Unreleased App Fails
I have an app in Pending Developer Release status and have generated a promo to test app on final time before release. After entering promo code in App Store app, I get the following error: Unable to Redeem "This content is incompatible with the current software on this device. Update you device to the latest software version and try again." The device in question has been running TestFlight and Xcode builds without issue. The device is an iPhone 14 Pro running 18.6. App is built with minimum deployment of 18.0.

Auto-renewable subscriptions stuck in "Developer Action Needed" - Cannot attach to binary
Hi everyone, I am trying to submit the first version of my app with auto-renewable subscriptions, but I am stuck in a loop. Both of my subscriptions (Yearly and Monthly) are stuck with the status "Developer Action Needed". Because of this status, they do not appear in the list of available In-App Purchases when I try to attach them to my app binary on the App Store Connect submission page. Here is what I have already done/checked: All metadata is filled out (Display Name, Description, Pricing). Review Information is complete (Screenshot and Review Notes are provided). My "Paid Applications" agreement in the Agreements, Tax, and Banking section is Active. I contacted Apple Developer Support by phone, but they were unable to resolve the issue and suggested I post here for help. Has anyone experienced this "limbo" before? How can I trigger the status to change to "Ready to Submit" so I can finally attach them to my build and send the app for review? (I have attached screenshots of my App Store Connect dashboard showing the issue). Thanks in advance for any help!

No Response to Support or Expedited Review Requests – Apps Still Waiting
Hello, I would like to raise a concern regarding the review status of my apps. Both of my submissions have been in the “Waiting for Review” stage for an extended period of time. Additionally, I have sent multiple support emails and even submitted an expedited review request. Unfortunately, I have not received a single response to any of them. As a long-time Apple developer and someone who genuinely values the Apple ecosystem, I find this prolonged silence concerning. Extended waiting periods without any feedback create uncertainty and negatively impact the overall developer experience. I fully understand that review times can vary. However, the lack of communication is the primary issue here. Even a brief status update would be greatly appreciated. I sincerely hope the review process moves forward soon and that we can resolve the current “Waiting for Review” situation as quickly as possible. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, Berkay

App in review almost 20 days
Hi, I did submit my app to review on 7th February, but it is still waiting for review. No status change, no feedback even if i created support ticket. I wonder if this is normal process or something is wrong on my submission. I see people are complining about waiting times but 20 days don't seem an ordinary. It is my first app and market submission.

Rejoining iOS dev after a long break, what should I relearn?
I’ve been building iOS apps since 2011, took a 4-year break, returned with two new apps, and it feels like organic visibility and indexing have changed drastically compared to earlier releases. Has anyone else noticed slower indexing, fewer automatic mentions, and almost zero organic traction—has discovery changed, or is it just saturation?

How can iOS developers update App Store metadata without hassle?
When creating a new App Store version to update ASO keywords and metadata, I notice that elements like the app icon and other details are missing and I am looking for a way to copy the existing metadata from the previous version. Also, is it possible to submit a new App Store version solely for ASO improvements without uploading a new build and still have the changes applied successfully.

App Clip card shows "App Clip Unavailable” after app release (Status: Received)
We are facing an issue where our App Clip card appears when scanning the QR code, but displays “App Clip Unavailable” even though the main app is already live on the App Store.

App Previews Upload Taking a Long, Long Time
Am I the only one wasting my time having preview videos processed? I've been waiting for hours. I wasted an hour just trying to sign out of an iCloud account yesterday. Now this process is taking a big chunk of my valuable time. Pardon me for saying it, Apple, Inc. But this is stupid and so unproductive.
