What should I validate before starting development of a new iOS app?
I take a lot of screenshots such as tickets, ideas, chats, and receipts, but I often forget about them later, so I am considering building an iOS app that asks the purpose of a screenshot as soon as it is taken, lets you assign it to a category, and reminds you after a set number of days to turn screenshots into actions instead of clutter. Before starting development, I would love to know if this feels genuinely useful, whether you would consider paying around $2 per month for it, and what features you would like to see, as I truly appreciate any honest feedback.

Advanced App Clip Main App approved but Appclip Experience Stuck in “Received” State (No Publish Option)
I am requesting assistance with an issue involving my Advanced App Clip Experience, which has remained in the “Received” state for more than few months, preventing the App Clip from becoming available when invoked via QR code. App Details App Name: Yellow Label Verification App Store Bundle ID: com.acviss.demoindia App Clip Bundle ID: com.acviss.demoindia.Clip Team ID: F2RLQ4VV59 App Version (Live): 1.4 Domain: acviss.com Issue Summary My Advanced App Clip Experience is stuck in the “Received” status. The “Publish” and “Build Assignment” options never appear, even though: The updated AASA file is correctly published at: https://acviss.com/.well-known/apple-app-site-association It contains the correct appclips → appID and paths entries It is served with the correct application/json content type Domain validation in App Store Connect shows Validated The App Clip build is already approved and live on the App Store Safari-based App Clip invocation works as expected Despite this, the Advanced App Clip Experience has not transitioned from “Received” to “Processing” or “Published.” Because of this, QR-based invocation consistently shows “App Clip Unavailable”, indicating that the App Clip Experience has not yet been activated on Apple’s backend. What is included in App Store Connect Analytics crash numbers?
The Crashes report in App Store Connect Analytics for my app is showing unexpectedly high crash rates, well over 2,000 per day (among roughly 150k active users per day). But I'm having trouble correlating this with other sources of stability reports: Firebase Crashlytics shows about 100 crashes per day over the last 90 days In the Xcode organizer, under “On-Screen Terminations” I see “Insufficient usage data available” which I take to mean very low numbers In the Xcode organizer, under "Background Terminations" it shows a little over 2 terminations per day, and well over 95% of those are "System Pressure" In the actual crash reports section of the Organizer, I have a little over 6,000 devices in the last two weeks encountering an issue that I think is 0xdead10cc, which I think would show up under Background Terminations as File Lock. As a side note, triaging these 0xdead10cc issues in the Organizer is a pain - see FB12292887. My main question here is what is included in App Store Connect's crash numbers. Do they include background terminations, especially "System Pressure"? Is there a way for me to get more information on the distribution of termination / crash types in those numbers? My understanding of System Pressure terminations is that it's when the system has to kill my app in the background to free up resources for other things, especially an app in the foreground, and it's not a "crash" properly speaking, although I might be able to make them less frequent if I reduce my memory usage. Am I incorrect in this? Notably, "System Pressure" is conspicuously not defined in the "Reducing Terminations in Your App" documentation under "Background termination reasons". https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/reduce-terminations-in-your-app

Mini Apps & Advanced App Clip Experiences
We deployed our Augmented Reality (AR) app on the app store and our build was approved and is working – all except our Advanced App Clip Experiences. All of the Advanced App Clip Experiences continue to show a status of "Received" and seem to be stuck in this status. Also, when scanning a QR code linked to one of the App Clip Experiences, nothing happens. We checked and double checked to make sure everything is set up properly. We even had an outside developer look at our code and they confirmed that our code looks correct and it likely like an Apple Issue. We have submitted two claim tickets over the past 3 months and the person currently handling our case keeps sending emails (in response to ours) saying that they still have not heard back from their internal team about our case. At this point, we don't know what to do and we are extremely worried because this starting to financially impact our business. We are not able to take new orders and we may need to start refunding clients for projects that were sold, partially based on the App Clip Experiences. We would greatly welcome and appreciate any ideas or suggestions!

App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 20+ days – Expedited review ignored
Subject: App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 20+ days – Expedited review ignored Hi everyone, I submitted my app "Screen Time Control - Flux" on February 4th, 2026. It has now been over 20 days stuck in "Waiting for Review" with zero movement. I submitted an expedited review request as advised by Developer Support (Case: 20000109839700), and I've been in email correspondence with them – but the responses are generic and nothing has changed. This is especially frustrating because I've already addressed all previous rejections, so the app should be ready to go. Has anyone else experienced this recently? Did anything actually work to unblock it?

Issue configuring non-consumable IAP
Hi everyone, I’m running into a recurring issue when submitting my app to the App Store. The app is made with Unity and contains a single non-consumable IAP. Said IAP works fine locally, and sandbox testing with Xcode works when we test the build internally. Here is the current behaviour: On Game launch, the paywall pop-up displays correctly, I can try to purchase the bonus content. I go through the whole mock payment process, it takes a little while to validate but it does go through. It asks me to “pay” a second time (as if the first one hadn’t been taken into account), there’s a bit of loading but the payment is validated. A pop-up tells me it’s confirmed. Back in game, the content is correctly unlocked and accessible. But during App Store review, the reviewers report that the in-app purchase button is unresponsive. The purchase cannot be initiated, and an error that says "Cannot initiate purchase because product was not found" or simply failing to start. Here’s what I’ve confirmed so far: The IAP product is created in App Store Connect and has the correct product ID. The IAP is correctly associated with the build when submitting the game's version for review. Paid Apps Agreement, tax, and banking info are fully completed and approved. Do you have any idea why the IAP would work while testing builds through TestFlight but fail validation? Anything we should look into? I feel the issue is due to a bad configuration on the Appstore Connect, but there aren't that many things to take into consideration there either...

What trends will shape the future of iOS app development
With agentic coding and AI rapidly improving at solving development problems, I’m starting to question what the next three to five years will look like for iOS developers and whether manual coding will gradually disappear. I’ve been building iOS apps full time since 2013 and while I appreciate AI for speeding up workflows like unit testing, I worry that over reliance could weaken our core skills, reduce our understanding of evolving APIs, and ultimately impact our long term value and demand in the industry, does anyone else feel the same?

App stuck in review for an extended time resubmitted an updated build
I’m sharing my situation in case others have experienced something similar. I initially submitted my app for review on February 4, and it remained in “Waiting for Review” for over 12 days without any feedback or request for additional information. I also sent a message through App Store Connect on February 11, but did not receive a response. To help move things forward, I’ve now resubmitted an updated build with clearer onboarding, improved permission explanations, and some minor UI improvements. I included detailed notes for the reviewer explaining the changes. I’m staying patient and cooperative, but I wanted to ask if others have encountered similar delays recently, and whether resubmitting helped unblock the review. Thanks in advance for any insights 🙂

Sandbox data loss after development team transferred
We recently changed the development team for our app and are getting ready for the first update since the change. We store a small amount of data in an sqlite database. From what I understand that data should be retained for users when updating the app version since the Bundle ID has remained the same. When I update the app from the currently released App Store build, which was from the old development team, to the latest build in TestFlight the data is not being retained. Is there something else that needs to be done to retain the data? Is it possible that the data is only being lost when updating from TestFlight but will be retained when updating the app from the App Store?

Builds not selectable after account migration — App Store Connect bug
After migrating our app to a new developer account, newly uploaded builds can't be selected during App Store submission. Build is signed with the correct new team certificates, export compliance is set, version numbers match. Has anyone else experienced this post-migration? I am unable to upload a new App via AppStore connect
I am trying to upload a new App to Appstore via Appstore connect and I am getting this error - "Developer Information Update In Process Note: Your developer information update is currently in process. Until it’s complete, the updated Program License Agreement may not go into effect." Under the Business section I see 2 entities under my name Both has my name, but has different ID and address. First iOS App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for days after resolving Guideline 2.1
Hello everyone, I am seeking some advice or shared experiences regarding my first iOS app submission. My app was initially rejected under Guideline 2.1 (Information Needed) because the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt was not displaying. I completely resolved this issue by implementing the request directly in native Swift (AppDelegate.swift) and verified that the prompt appears correctly on launch. I uploaded the new build (Version 1.0, Build 5) and resubmitted it for review a few days ago. However, the status has been stuck at "Waiting for Review" ever since, without moving to "In Review". Since this is my very first app on the App Store, I am unsure if this kind of delay is normal for a resubmission, or if my app might be stuck in a queue. I have already sent a polite inquiry via the Resolution Center, but I am eagerly waiting to launch my app and proceed with my marketing plans. Has anyone experienced a similar delay recently after fixing a 2.1 Guideline issue? Is there any additional step I should take to bump the review, or is it strictly a waiting game at this point? Thank you in advance for your time and any guidance! Best regards, Onur App Name: Tercih Cini App ID: 6758962191

Application getting rejected, because of Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness
I have an auto-renewable subscription and added everything in IAP subscriptions and inside my app. But I still keep getting this rejection and no one responds to be question at the app review. " Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness We are unable to complete the review of the app because one or more of the in-app purchase products have not been submitted for review. Specifically, the app includes references to subscriptions but the associated in-app purchase products have not been submitted for review. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please be sure to take action and submit your in-app purchases and upload a new binary in App Store Connect so we can proceed with our review. Note you must provide an App Review screenshot in App Store Connect in order to submit in-app purchases for review. Learn more about required in-app purchase metadata. " But I have done all thse things and submitted the new binary as well. Still rejection.

Can't create new version of app or delete old unreleased one
I've come back to a project that last released some 8 years ago. I've updated it over the last couple of months and now I'm trying to create a new version on App Store Connect, but the button isn't there. I still have a couple of versions listed there, one in "Prepare for submission" and one in "Ready for Distribution". The one labelled as ready for distribution is actually still in the app store. There doesn't seem to be an option to delete the version I never submitted

Your file couldn’t be saved. Try again. If the problem persists, contact us.
I am trying to submit a couple of apps, one has IAP and another uses subscription. In both cases I can't submit the review information screenshot. I am using 640x920 JPG which uploads fine and even renders a preview but then the box goes red and I see "Your file couldn’t be saved. Try again. If the problem persists, contact us." I'vd tried every possible contortion of format and resolution but no success.
