Reply to WatchOS 2 - Calendar data not Syncing
More information: Did a 'Reset Sync Data' in the Apple Watch application. This cleared all the data from the Watch and now no data at all, including the recently working calendar which was merged into iCloud, syncs on the Watch. Back to the starting state.Removing and re-adding the iCloud calendars from the phone had no effect.Next: will try deleting the extra iCloud calendar, then delete all calendars again from iPhone. Re-add the iCloud on the iPhone. then re-pair the watch again.

Reply to Create calendar event with WatchKit on the Apple Watch

If you’re trying to convert a set of date components to a date, dateFromComponents(_:) is the right method to use. Date components are always relative to a specific calendar—for example, this year is the year 2559 in the Buddhist calendar—so if you’re hardwiring components that assume the Gregorian calendar you will need to use that calendar when calling dateFromComponents(_:). Finally, you don’t need to set the time zone in your date components; the calendar always assumes the current time zone unless you override that via its timeZone property. Reply to WatchOS 2 - Calendar data not Syncing
Some progress, possible coorelation on the bug.Removing calendars, repairing, etc. had no effect. The iPhone had an MDM profile installed via Airwatch which provided access to the Exhcange account. The exchange account was not set to sync calendar, so I had ruled that out early. In my last test I completely unenrolled the device and re-added the iCloud calendar. it worked - iCloud calendar was back. I then re-enrolled the device in MDM and Exchange, poof - all calendars on the Apple Watch dissapeared. Definately some coorelation here with MDM and/or the Exchange profile.More as I figure it out.

Adding an event to the calendar
I know about the EventKit, but i wonder why apple does not provide a function to call the viewcontroller that is called when you click on a date that is detected through the dateDetector. It would be the perfect solution, it would look good through all the apps that are able to add events to your calendar.Or am I missing a way to call it programmatically?

Why doesn’t iphone 13 associate downloaded .ics (iCal) files with the iOS calendar?
On iPhone 13, when I am on a website that offers a link to an .ics file containing one or more event and I choose to download the file, the iPhone does not give me the Calendar App as a suggestion to open the file. It seems to me, that there should most definitely be an association. Why is there not? Also, I am aware of the steps to otherwise subscribe to a URL, but I feel like that is too much work. the iPhone Calendar app should be able to handle importing an event from an ics file JUST as you can do on a MacBook. What am I missing? Is there an issue with my phone, or did Apple decide to not make the association for some reason?

Reply to Calendar for Office 365 not updating
I am still having the same issue. I deleted my Exchange account information (365) and attempted to reinstalling to jumpstart calendaring for previous beta releases (2&3). I tried to recreate today under beta 4 and still no Exchange calendar items will appear in my Sierra 10.12.2 calendar. Again, they are fine under iOS beta versions, and were fine under beta 1. Did you do anything different with beta 4 to get exchange calendaring working?

Calendar, new event, travel time broken
When creating, or editing an event on my calendar (yes I have the latest version of all software) the travel time isn't working. I've taken screen shots of you would allow me a place to upload them. I've tried several different locations (start & finish) to see if it was an isolated location, & it isn't. I keep getting Cannot provide directions. Directions could not be found. Ok. I used this feature frequently in the past & miss the ability of having it. Please look into it. Thank you. It has not been working for a while. I figured you knew about it & were working on it, so I didn't want to bother you. I do use Apple navigation, & have all addresses stored there. That's where I pull all info from. I've tried selecting the gray and the red as my destinations, neither work. (I've tried gray to gray, red to red, gray to red, red to gray. I believe the gray are addresses that I've entered, & the red are addresses that the app has confirmed locations exist on.) Again, thank you for

Reply to EventKit not working correctly
Hi,Yep. I've noticed the same thing. It actually seems to be a problem with calendars that are associated with an iCloud account. I can fetch reminders and events for calendars stored on an Exchange server 100% of the time but iCloud based calendars fail 100% of the time. It's like EventKit just doesn't see them.--Andy

Reply to Calendar Does Not Sync iOS 9/WatchOS 2
I'm having the same problem. Upgraded the iphone6 to IOS9, then did the upgrade to 9.0.1. watchOS1.x was still in place and everything worked fine. Updated to watchOS2, and immediately lost all calendar events on the watch, though there appears to be no problem on the iphone.I have calendar feeds from iCloud, Exchange ActiveSync, and Gmail. All had been working until the watchOS2 upgrade event.I have unpaired and reinstalled the watch. no change.I have reset watch to scratch, and restored the previous backup to the iphone. no change.I have turned off all the calendars I have. then turned them back on one at a time, 15 min delays between turnons - still no change.I do get notifications, including alerts from the calendars (both exchange and gmail) but nothing shows up in the calendar list on the watch itself.---------------I did try the iCal suggestion above, it does feed the entries from goolge through. My exchange calendar feed is still not coming through

How to cause iOS 9 to automatically create a calendar event from a reservation email?
The WWDC keynote and iOS 9 preview page https://www.apple.com/ios/ios9-preview/ mention If you get an email with a flight reservation or restaurant confirmation, iOS 9 can create a suggested event in Calendar for you.Haven't found any documentation on whether developers are required to do anything special to their emails, along the lines of how Google requires the schema.org tags https://developers.google.com/gmail/markup/reference/event-reservation , perhaps.I've got several emails in my Inbox in the Mail app that refer to restaurant and flight reservations but I'm not seeing any suggested events in Calendar, even though I've enabled the Events Found in Mail preference at the bottom of Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars.Anyone know any more about how this is supposed to work?
