I see the ASCredentialIdentityStore class is also available on macOS Big Sur. But it doesn't seem to be used anywhere. Identities stored here on iOS appear on QuickType bar, on macOS I was kind of expecting them to appear has suggestions on the context menu for Password AutoFill. Is this planned for inclusion on Big Sur, or should I just ignore this API?

when i try to install big sur (it IS the newest beta btw) it says BIErrordomain error 2 when i try to pick a disk. please help or make a new beta

I've found something thing macOS Big Sur broke - the recovery after changing display sources. Let me explain... I have one big 4K monitor, connected to both my Mac (USB-C) and my PC (HDMI). I switch between the two sources on the monitor depending on what I'm doing. Each computer also has its own dedicated monitor (built-in for my Macbook, an old external for my PC). Prior to macOS Big Sur, if I switched to the PC input on the monitor, all the macOS windows would shift over to the built-in laptop display, and then shift back to their correct window once I switched back. They no longer do that. The application all stay on the laptop screen and the big screen is empty when I switch the source back on the monitor. I then have to move everything back to the big display. I guess that's better than the PC behavior where even if you switch the source on the display back to the Mac, Windows still thinks its connected and continues to extend the display (t

Unable to add Fingerprint to TouchID in macOS Big Sur

Hi all. IM need help with Big Sur Beta 4, because in betas 1 and 2 the drivers pack from third party like epass2003 Feitian Technology works nice and recognize until update for Beta 4. Is that possible copy or replace some files in system like /usr folder to recognize again this midia? If there a way, please im need help. Im not advanced user. Im think is Java problems and missing dylib files on Big Sur beta 4.

On a macbook pro 13 Mid 2020 since i have updated the gui on applications will flicker. I am pretty confident it is not a hardware problem. is anyone else having these isssues and wished they had stuck on Catalina until Big sur was ironed out

Hi everyone I have an app called 'Multi login' that won't launch on Big Sur 11.0.1. I click on the app and it won't do anything. I've tried to uninstall/reinstall and it still doesn't work. Any clue of the issue? Thanks!

I have installed Big sur beta in 1 partition with other Mojave OS partition. When I am in Big Sur, startup disk shows Mojave OS but in Mojave it doesn't list Big Sur so that I can switch OS from there only.

Hello, I was looking forward to download/install Big Sur on my MacBook Pro and it seems like that Big Sur is not listed on the beta programs page. Hi In macOS Catalina, when my enterprise app (MyApp) tries to access Desktop folder first time, user would get prompt message <MyApp> would like to access files in your Desktop folder and once user clicks OK, MyApp entry can be seen in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Files and Folders and MyApp will be able to access Desktop folder without any issues. With Big Sur Beta, I don't see above prompt and I can't also manually add/update MyApp entry in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Files and Folders. The only entry I can see for MyApp is in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Full Disk Access which is disabled by default. Once I manually enable this FDA (Full Disk Access) setting, MyApp starts working properly. Since I couldn't get much related info from Beta release notes, I would like to know whether there are major changes w.r.t. app access in Big Sur? Is FDA enable t

I tried downloading the Big Sur Beta 8 from AppleSeed for IT and the Apple Developer portal but it keeps saying Update cannot be found and am unable to get the full installer only an upgrade in certain occasions.

I want to start developing for Mac, and my first choice was AppKit. However now with recent announcements I think it makes sense to go for Catalyst (my first project is also a Mac+iPad app). I installed Xcode 12 Beta but as soon as I hit build I get errors like 'main()' is only available in macOS 10.16 or newer I know it isn't necessary, but my question is will it make more sense to learn directly on latest technologies? The answer to this decides whether or not I buy a developer account for access to Big Sur Beta.
