App Rejection : Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
My app is getting rejected for this reason: Issue Description The app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account based. Specifically, the app requires users to register before accessing any content. Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law. My app does require sign in tho like any social media app and the previous version had been approved no problem. I made an appeal which was rejected for the same reason and I am not getting an answer.

App Rejected for Metadata issue
Hello, I have a subscription based app that has been rejected for 2.3.2 Performance: Accurate Metadata 3.1.2 Business: Payments - Subscriptions 5.1.1 Legal: Privacy - Data Collection and Storage I have added additional information to all of these areas, added links to the relevant privacy and usage pages. I am not sure why it keeps being rejected. I am missing some information but cannot see what is needed. Is there an example of the required information for a subscription based app for the localisation information. Currently the app needs a user account to access some of the features and the subscription provides access to that. A user with no account can access the free features without a login. Any pointers would be really appreciated

My app as a Login screen to authenticate the user, after which they are given to subscribe to either a monthly plan or a yearly plan(auto-renewed). After countless rejection, I guess I am failing to understand. This the message I received from the review team: Hello, Thank you for your question. Regarding guideline 5.1.1, Please note that although App Review Guideline 3.1.2 requires an app to make subscription content available to all the supported devices owned by a single user, it is not appropriate to force user registration to meet this requirement; such user registration must be optional.. Upon further review, additionally we found that your submission does not comply with the following guidelines: Guideline 2.3.2 - Performance - Accurate Metadata We noticed your free download app requires users to subscribe prior to accessing content or features, but this requirement is not clearly specified in your app description. Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy
My application allows to upload photo logs and assign it to a person only by uploading images from camera. In the process it asks for camera and geolocation permissions. At this moment it doesn't do much. Why could this be happening? Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage The app collects information from various public sources to build individual profiles. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please remove any feature that attempts to build individual profiles based on collected public data.

Reply to In the iOS 18 beta, if there are two Enterprise Apps with the same D-U-N-S number, one of the apps will not run.
@gyumin, I'm responding again to your comment: However, we are unable to send a reply to the provided email address.(Remote host said: 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias) I got more clarity today on what happened there, and clearly, there was an error in the email preventing you from contacting us, as you found. Please follow-up with Apple Developer Program support for your account and mention that email, and they will be able to take it from there for you. —Ed Ford,  DTS Engineer

My macOS game was rejected because it requires login. iOS app approved. It is a multiplayer game and a user has to be identified to play the game
Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We noticed that your app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account based. Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law. For example, an e-commerce app should let users browse store offerings and other features that are not account based before being asked to register, or a restaurant app should allow users to explore the menu before placing an order. Registration must then only be required for account-specific features, such as saving items for future reference or placing an order. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app to let users freely access your app’s features that are not account based. App Rejected: Legal: Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
The app does not meet all requirements for apps that offer highly regulated services or handle sensitive user data. Specifically: The account that submits the app must be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an organization, and not as an individual. The guideline 5.1.1(ix) requirements give users confidence that apps operating in highly regulated fields or that require sensitive user information are qualified to provide these services and will responsibly manage their data. Next Steps To resolve this issue, it would be appropriate to take the following steps: The app must be submitted through an Apple Developer Program account enrolled as an organization. You may either enroll in a new Apple Developer Program account as an organization, or request that your individual account be converted to an organization account by contacting Apple Developer Support. Please note that you cannot resolve this issue with documentation showing permission to publish this app on behalf of the content owner or ins

App Review - 5.1.1 (v) Account Deletion
Regarding Account Deletion (Guideline 5.1.1(v)): Our e-learning app has been rejected in App Review regarding compliance with guideline 5.1.1 (v) Account Deletion. The following is our query: We are including a button that links to the account data deletion request page on our website. This will be placed on the Profile Tab/Page of the app. Will this be sufficient to meet Apple’s guidelines for data deletion requests? The above query is based on the following instruction provided by the Apple Support/review team: The app supports account creation but does not include an option to initiate account deletion. Apps that support account creation must also offer account deletion to give users more control of the data they've shared while using an app. Apps that support account creation must also offer account deletion to give users more control of the data they've shared while using an app. If users need to visit a website to finish deleting their account, include a link directly to the website pa

Hi @lzr, All communications to the Private Email Relay service need to be authorized and authenticated. Please configure your email domains and sources and validate your SPF and/or DKIM authentication by following the documentation below: Configuring your environment for Sign in with Apple https://developer.apple.com/documentation/sign_in_with_apple/configuring_your_environment_for_sign_in_with_apple#3743946 This misconfiguration is the underlying of cause of the 550 5.1.1 unauthorized sender error. However, in the future, if you receive an error such as 550 5.1.1 unknown user, this likely means the user has disabled email forwarding for your client.
