Reply to How can I remove Air Travel selection from my app services?
When the app was submitted for the first time, apple has rejected the build with the following message:Per section 5.1.1 (ix) of the App Store Review Guidelines, apps that provide services or collect sensitive user information in highly-regulated fields, such as healthcare, should be submitted by a legal entity that provides these services, and not by an individual developer.Which refers to,(ix) Apps that provide services in highly-regulated fields (such as banking and financial services, healthcare, and air travel) or that require sensitive user information should be submitted by a legal entity that provides the services, and not by an individual developer.I remembered that I have selected the Air Travel previously, which is not the Category in the App Information section because I chose Lifestyle as the main category without choosing the secondary option.

App rejected due to incorrect purpose sting
Hello everyone, i'm having trouble to upload my app to Appstore, mainly because of the purpose string to enable camera and gallery access. My app is in Spanish, so my purpose string are this (translated to english):allow this application to use your camera?allow this application to see you photo gallery? The user is requested to use the camera and gallery in 2 different screens, one is a chat and the other is to upload a payment receipt. I can't specify a purpose string for one thing or the other without confusing the app user.Appstore tech guys keep rejecting it, so can you please tell me what shoud i use? i will do the translation no problem. This is the reported problem:Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and StorageWe further continued to notice that your app requests the user’s consent to access their camera and photos but does not clarify the use of the camera and photos in the applicable purpose string.Specifically, your camera and photos purpose strings do not provide specific e

Binary Rejected
I am having issues getting an update released i have an app that has a button which links back to our 'Blog Page' and both rejections relates to an article on my website. First rejection states the following: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We found in our review that your app provides services or requires sensitive user information related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the COVID-19 pandemic is a public health crisis, services and information related to it are considered to be part of the healthcare industry. In addition, the seller and company names associated with your app are not from a recognized institution, such as a governmental entity, hospital, insurance company, non-governmental organization, or university. Sendgrid bounces for apple login private relay accounts
We have configured multiple ESPs, which works for private relay emails. Recently sendgrid started bouncing for my testing private relay email ( aqdi34p4ti@privaterelay.appleid.com -- smtp;550 5.1.1 Relay not allowed ) even though we have registered both - domains and communication emails (as described in Configure Private Email Relay Service - https://help.apple.com/developer-account/?lang=en#/devf822fb8fc ). Is it possible to check logs what's going on? Or did something changed?

App Store Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Earlier last week my app was rejected stating the reason that We noticed that your app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account-based. I would like to know if can the app have a sign in with later/Continue as guest option to view non account related information like privacy policy, helpcenter and terms along with the product listing of the app. Will that functionality comply under the guidelines mentioned from your side earlier?

App rejection reason :Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Apple Support Message: We noticed that your app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account-based. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app to let users freely access your app’s non account-based features. Reason why app need registration: The app is paid app but give free trail for month after that it asks the user to buy a subscription if the user wants to use the app further. I need user identifier (email asked on signup/login) to keep the track of user subscription. Besides, I also need user registration to save the article for future like if user bookmark the articles the record will be saved against his identifier (email) in the database. Any suggestion on how to approve my app?

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Hello, We have developed an app iOS and Apple reject the second update of app (categorie NEWS) for this motivation: We still noticed that your app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account-based. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app to let users freely access your app’s non account-based features. Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law. You should allow users to freely access your app’s non account-based features. For example, an e-commerce app should let users browse store offerings and other features that are not account-based before being asked to register, or a restaurant app should allow users to explore the menu before placing an order. Registration must then only be required for account-specific features, such as saving items for future reference or placing an order. But I would to like answer to Apple with this motivation: The App r

App rejected for Microphone Usage description
Ours is a video camera app. Our app displays the following prompt in Microphone Usage permission (Privacy - Microphone Usage Description):The app needs Microphone Access to record Audio But now Apple seems to be rejecting it. Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We noticed that your app requests the user’s consent to access their microphone but does not clarify the use of the microphone in the applicable purpose string. Wondering what is not obvious here. A video recorder app needs microphone access to record audio, nothing more, nothing less! How do I fix it? It has been 8 years now and no such concern was raised before.

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
Hi I have developed an iOS app with a Category Productivity, but Apple has rejected it because of Guideline 5.1.1 account-based. basically the app is to create recipes and groceries lists and you can share them with other users per Home. The connects to an API to save the data and the user needs an account to manage his data separated than the other users. also the app is totally free it's only require registration with name and email, I don't know why Apple asking me to show some free features before creating account since the app is totally free and no purchase required. this is the message from Apple: From Apple Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage We noticed that your app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account-based. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app to let users freely access your app’s non account-based features. Sign in with Apple users unable to Reply to received emails.
Has anyone else experienced users being unable to reply to communications with them? If so, was there a solution? tldr; Email from our domain to users ####@privaterelay.appleid.com email works correctly. User replies to myemail_at_mydomain_com_####_8800cbcb@privaterelay.appleid.com fail. I have emails properly being sent and received to my Sign in with Apple users via the methods described here: https://help.apple.com/developer-account/?lang=en#/devf822fb8fc The issue is if a user replies to the email. They get an immediate notice that the email was undeliverable. According to the chart available within the docs, it seems like I should not have to configure the ability to receive replies. This should be handled by the relay server. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/sign_in_with_apple/sign_in_with_apple_js/communicating_using_the_private_email_relay_service Here's the failure email for reference (with private emails redacted of course) This is a system-generated message to inform you that your email co

Registering in an external website before login to the App
Hi, we have built an App which aprroval has been rejected because we ask to enter some registration personal data that is neccesary for some material gathering during a social event. There is a data gathering agreement screen where the users accept that data gathering. It seems this is not valid for Apple because they say we break 5.1.1 policy about collecting non essential data for the core functionality... we are considering to just require the user to enter his email in order to log in and we would supply a link to an external registration web page so that the users register themselves in that website, outside the App. Is it possible to require to be registered in an external website to be able to use an App? would that be allowed by Apple policies? Has anybody any similar experience with this kind of issue? Thank you very much!
