Reply to Extremely offended by Inconsistent Review
Welcome to the forum. You wrote: I got case 4.3 resolved previously, Do you mean you once got a rejection that was finally solved ? If so, I do advise you, when you submit a new release, to mention this past rejection and its resolution and give details (incl the dates of this former rejection/resolution) in the notes for reviewer. That should avoid this type of new rejection.

Our app got rejected the second time because of 4.3 design spam reason. Need help
Hi, we submitted our app for review after 1 year of development, and 4 months waiting to finally make payment and enable developer account. After review, app was rejected for 4.3 reason design spam as there are already lots of dating apps in the store reason. We have a unique audience and features (of course also common features like other dating as cannot be avoided chat, some like function etc), and a lof of users were looking forward to our ios version, they are still using the web and ask us every day when they can use ios app. App got rejected and what is unfair is that we can mention at least 5 apps that are total trash in terms of features that do exist in app store same category and are our rivals published without any problem. We submitted after 2 weeks a totally new concept for the app, new menus, animations etc to make it more unique so is not anymore under design spam. Now it was rejected again for same reason and we are out of ideas what to change for the next submission. Our designers a

Reply to Is it allowed to publish one project as two apps on the App Store?
There is a risk that the second app submitted will be rejected as spam. In addition, you take the risk of account cancellation because you tried to fool the appStore. In a word, I would not do it. At least I would make it very clear in the comments to reviewer when submitting both apps in order to avoid account cancellation. See Guideline 4.3: . 4.3 Spam Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. Also avoid piling on to a category that is already saturated; the App Store has enough fart, burp, flashlight, fortune telling, dating, drinking games, and Kama Sutra apps, etc. already. We will reject these apps unless they provide a unique, high-quality experience. Spamming the store may lead to your removal from the Apple Developer Program.

Reply to App Rejected
Welcome to the forum. If it is effectively rejected for 4.3(a): (a)ASR & NR Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. Is it what you did ? there could be other reasons for spam (4.3(b)). what type of app is it ? There are some categories which are over crowded and new apps are rejected unless they are really original and high added value: (b) Also avoid piling on to a category that is already saturated; the App Store has enough fart, burp, flashlight, fortune telling, dating, drinking games, and Kama Sutra apps, etc. already. 4.3: SPAM - App Rejected - not reading my replies
Hi, I am a freelance developer who built a CRM and as part of the package provide a ToDo application. I managed to convince a client to get a White-Labeled solution for the application from me & uploaded in the client's developer profile (My profile has full developer access). Now, when I am uploading my original app for my other CRM users - App Store Review team is rejecting the app with the following message: We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.. They mention - other developers; but the other developer is me - having full access rights. I have replied to the rejection 4 times with these comments & I feel they are just not reading my comments. Its disheartening to see that all the work you put in, apps get rejected for absolutely no reason. I have already

pp flagged as “Spam” under Guideline 4.3 — despite approval from App Review Lead (Erica)
Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get advice or hear from anyone with similar experiences. Our app Pixllove was originally rejected under Guideline 4.3 (“Spam”). We were later invited to an App Review call with Erica, who reviewed everything and confirmed verbally and in writing (April 8, 2025) that the spam classification was removed. She acknowledged that our app uses a unique concept and only required us to implement a pre-chat consent popup. We implemented exactly that: • A popup appears before any chat starts, displaying the match’s name, age, and distance. • Users must actively accept before the chat begins. • We show this clearly in our new demo video. • Full reporting/blocking/moderation is in place. However, after submitting the updated build, we were again rejected under a different interpretation of 1.2, with the reasoning that our app “connects users randomly.” This appears to be a misunderstanding, since no match occurred during their test – and it takes at least 2 users online for a match to h

What are some other actionable items I can do, so that I can get through "Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam" app update rejection?
I have an app which is in the app store since 2022. It is an app with combined features of note taking, todo list and calendar. My most recent app update is rejected with the following message. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality. Resources Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include: Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party Submittin

Appstore Rejection every time with reason Guideline 4.3 - Design This app duplicates the content and functionality of other app
Guideline 4.3 - Design This app duplicates the content and functionality of other apps submitted by you or another developer to the App Store, which is considered a form of spam. Apps that simply duplicate content or functionality create clutter, diminish the overall experience for the end user, and reduce the ability of developers to market their apps. The next submission of this app may require a longer review time, and this app will not be eligible for an expedited review until this issue is resolved. Next Steps Review the Design section of the App Store Review Guidelines. Ensure your app is compliant with all sections of the App Store Review Guidelines and the Terms & Conditions of the Apple Developer Program. Once your app is fully compliant, resubmit your app for review. Submitting apps designed to mislead or harm customers or evade the review process may result in the termination of your Apple Developer Program account. Review the Terms & Conditions of the Apple Developer Program to le

Reply to 4.3 guideline nightmare
Same issue here, We develop games of multiple animal hunting and apple says to put all the animals in one app and publish game as one. Which doesnt makes sense, there's a difference between gorilla hunter and dinosaur hunter but apple review team wont get it and rejects the game ! 4.3 is being pain in the A** for developers.

Reply to An app for each school
You'll get busted by 4.3 eventually. In fact, they call out schools/universities, right in the guideline. You are essentially looking to white label your business, meaning that any school can put their logo on your app, but it is all the same app. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't like the white label business model, so you are SOL

Reply to Apple Practices Concerning Published Apps and Their Updates
Welcome to the forum. But the forum is not really intended for such warnings. It is to help solve issues. The fact is not that reviewer does not want you to update, it is that in the new review, he/she has evaluated your games as spam (for good reason or not, that's a question we cannot answer). Have you answered to the review explaining why you consider your apps are not spam ? You have certainly read the guidelines; it may help you understand the reason for rejection and better explain in your comments: 4.3 Spam (a) Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. (b) Also avoid piling on to a category that is already saturated; the App Store has enough fart, burp, flashlight, fortune telling, dating, drinking games, and Kama Sutra apps, etc. already.
