Seeking Assistance to Address Guideline 4.3(a) Rejection - App Concept and Functionality Concerns
Hello Apple Developer Community, I hope this message finds you well. My app submission was recently rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) due to the App Review Team's determination that my app shares similarities in binary, metadata, and concept with apps submitted by other developers, with only minor differences. The feedback I received stated: We still found that your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality. I have already made significant efforts to differentiate my app by implementing unique features and functionality tailored to my audience. However, I’d like to better understand: What specific aspects of my app might be contributing to the similarity concerns? How can I further highlight the unique features and functionality of my app to meet Apple's

Reply to Solution to template apps?
Search this forum for '4.3 spam rejection'. Apple wants you to generate a single app that can be directed by the user to a specific 'client' or 'ball team' or 'barber shop' rather than one for each client, ball team or barber shop in every town in America. Another solution may be to have each of your clients create their own developer account and submit the app under that account.4.3 Spam Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase.......

App rejected because of Guideline 4.3(a) Design
I am building my 2nd React-Native app which is a very simple Notes app. The functionalities are to be able to add, edit & delete notes. And, on the home page where the user can change the orientation of the notes to be in 2 column like a grid or just a list. My app has been getting rejected for Minimal design guideline & I don't know what to do to make it more complex. My first iOS React-Native app was just a single-page Weather app, again that was pretty simple. So, my question is what do I do? OR is the trick that I just keep doing little changes and try to submit & see which one gets accepted??

App keeps getting rejected (4.3 SPAM)
My app is completely unique, no other app has the main functionality of my app, and it was not bought template and coded from scratch. It uses Supabase for the backend, for context. I have no idea what to do, I just spoke with a review team member, and he kept saying the same thing, that he's seen similar apps, which when i clarified what the app did he just said that it could be a bought template which was used in fraud, and genuinely did not want to talk about the app so he basically cut the review shortly. I spent a month of my life on this app. I have no idea what to do. It does use Supercell images such as figures, but it follows all the Supercell Fan Content Policy guidelines.

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam - automatic rejection
I previously written here, and some advices were to appeal to rejection sending them message describing uniqueness of the app. Nothing is working. In short, i have a vpn app (of course by design shares some concept with other apps that are in the app store). But since the rejection i have completely changed the ui, added built in browser, p2p messenger so users could interact with each other without any interference. The app is completely free with no ads. I thought this is it, there's no way it would reject this time, but... i get a notification with rejection repeating the same old message. I'm extremely frustrated and don't know what to do. Tried changing the logo of the app, the name to Incognito - Messenger, VPN, app store screenshots. I've already appealed with screenshots describing unique features that other vpn apps don't have, but the message just repeats from app review team. Submission ID: 1a49ee0b-c4e2-4a36-8372-e4d3b9a8b13f Does anybody have an advice what i can do?

Repeated 4.3 Design Spam Rejections Due to False Copyright Claim
I’m posting this here as a last resort as I’ve exhausted all options including numerous unsuccessful messages and appeals to the App Review Team and App Review Board. On April 1, 2022, a simple bug fix update was rejected and the app and account was under investigation. This had never happened to me before so I wasn’t sure what was going on. After a couple of days, the App Review Team concluded their investigation and rejected my app due to 4.3.0 spam design (“same features to other apps”). This took me surprise as my app was doing well and offered users unique features not found on other similar apps. These features were added due to request from my customers. I then realized this was most likely caused by a copyright claim my app received in March by another app developer that had a similar app on the App Store. The copyright claim was recently dropped by the complainant as their rights were not being infringed but it appears that my app and account have been flagged as a spammer. All because of a false cop

How to resolve rejection depending on 4.3 spam guide
I have recently made an app whose name is 'campus date'. As you can find on its name, it is dating app. And that app got rejected because dating app is already satuated and my app seems like existing apps. However, my app is rooted in unique intention that is matching from certain university. Especially, in my country (South Korea), there is no dating app that matches users in the same university. I think that makes differences enough but Apple doesn't think that is enough. I have no idea to resolve this situation, what should I do? what feature could be in dating app and make Apple feel different. One of my small ideas is 'recommendation for dating place'. This dating app has users that are in same university, so I would like to recommend some dating place which is located near that university. Do you think this kind of approach is correct? or should I focus on different thing? Any ideas or your experiences, please comment, thank you

Fee app rejected as 4.3 Spam of Paid
Hi,I'm looking for some advice here.I've developed a pair of apps following a free/paid paradigm. I did my reasearch the app(s) are unique, I'm not cloning anyones work. The paid version was approved for sale, but the free has been rejected because it was found to provide different content but are identical in functionality - to the paid app. (not true either, the paid has additional content and functionality)It seems to me what Apple are really saying is I must use IAP and the free/paid paradigm is no longer acceptable.I'm not sure how to manage this, perhaps the differences in functionality have been overlooked in the review and I should protest? or maybe I should just accept the policy change and get on with IAP?

Reply to 4.3 guideline nightmare
Same here. We have done dozens of apps which serve a particular type of business. Needless to say we try to produce them in a way that it is cost efficient for those businesses. But each app has a totally different look and the content is always different (each one has different data and data sources).Yes Apple is reject saying these violate 4.3. We have been doing this for years, have 700 clients and service customers from small to the largest of their kind in the world. Apple review used to be great and smooth and fast. Now it's become one reject after another that makes no sense with this 4.3. reject being the latest reject fad.

Reply to App Rejected for 4.3 Spam Without Proper Review – Need Clarification
I have also sent emails and made several phone calls, but the responses I received were very generic. The previous versions were approved and published, but there is no clear explanation as to why the later versions were flagged as Spam under guideline 4.3 (A).
