Can't scroll up/down and scroll left/right at the same time on UITableView within a UIScrollView
Hi,I'm having trouble implementing custom gesture recognition when multiple gestures are occurring at the same time. I want to have control over which gesture gets picked when the user performs a certain action.I have a couple UITableViews that are within a UIScrollView that has paging enabled, and is setup to let me page left and right so that only one UITableView is visible at a time. A user can't scroll up/down the table view and swipe left/right in the scroll view at the same time, but I would like this to be possible. An example of this would be in the iOS Instagram app on the Activity tab. You can scroll down and then swipe right while the table view is still scrolling.I was able to get the table view to swipe left/right after stopping scrolling up/down by inheriting from UIScrollView and implementing the shouldRecognizeSimultaneouslyWithGestureRecognizer and shouldBeRequiredToFailByGestureRecognizer methods from UIGestureRecognizerDelegate. My idea was to return true in shouldRecognizeSimultan

Reply to libcompression ?
From what we can see, the linker accepts the TBD file as effectively a list of symbols to presume are defined in order to allow compilation - if you add that file to the linked frameworks of your project, it will no longer generate errors for the missing symbols.edit: removed conjecture due to issues we were also having. Just link to the TBD file and it should work.

Reply to iTunes freezing iOS 9, OS X 10.11
As with several others in this thread, whenever I try to select an IOS 9 device via the little device iconon the iTunes button bar, iTunes freezes.Following some suggestions here and elsewhere I have tried the following:Find my Phone/iPad both on and offBackup and Sync via the menuDeleted all prior backups, then backup and sync via the menu againDeleted SyncServices folder, then restarted iTunesInstalled latest xCode betaNone of the above made any difference. One thing to note, if the device dropdown shows the device names, you can eject them from the dropdown and sometimes, if you are lucky, select them. If the device name is not shown and the dropdown lists only generic device types, such as iPhone or iPad, then you are SOL and iTunes will hang no matter what. All of the above occurred with any IOS 9 device, Beta 1 or Beta 2, connected to iTunes 12.x.x on both OS X 10.10.4 Beta 4 and 10.11 Beta 2.

UIPageViewController setViewControllers in Swift
I'm having trouble with an error while implementing a UIPageViewController in Swift. There is my code: var pageViewController: UIPageViewController? = nil let pageTitles = [One, Two, Three] override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() pageViewController = self.storyboard!.instantiateViewControllerWithIdentifier(PageViewController) as? UIPageViewController pageViewController!.dataSource = self; let startingViewController = viewControllerAtIndex(0); let viewControllers = [startingViewController] pageViewController!.setViewControllers(viewControllers, direction: UIPageViewControllerNavigationDirection.Forward, animated: false, completion: nil) }At line 14 I get this error:Cannot invoke 'setViewControllers' with an argoument list of type '([PageContentViewController?], direction UIPageViewControllerNavigationDirection, animated: Bool, completion: nil)'Well, I think this is related to unwrap the property I declared at line 2 but I don't know how to do it Can someone help me?Thank you

Reply to Download failure
It's true that this is the case for the DP2 update itself. This is why I haven't dared to try that yet. But I'm not convinced about Command Line Tools having 2 packages. After installing the CLTools_Executables.pkg the Command Line Tools update actually disappeared from the App Store Available Updates list. If it wasn't installed completely then wouldn't it still be in the updates list?

Reply to iOS 9 CoreData NSFetchedResultsController update causes blank rows in UICollectionView/UITableView
Just to report here I'm getting the same error in iOS 9 (both beta 1 and 2):*** Assertion failure in -[YCTableView _endCellAnimationsWithContext:], /BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/UIKit_Sim/UIKit-3480.5/UITableView.m:1362 attempt to perform a delete and a move from the same index path (<NSIndexPath: 0xc000000000000016> {length = 2, path = 0 - 0})

Reply to El Capitan not seeing external disks...
There seem to be a few issues with Disks for EC so far. Startup manager is mostly non functional for me. I have 3 bootable partitions and all three show. However only the EC one works, the other two end up in EC as well.Even when booting using the Command key the same thing is true. They list differently there, but still same result. What is really odd is what makes them begin to work. Make a bootable install thumb drive with some version of OS X on it (doesnt seem to matter). Power down the mac and insert the thumb into the hub. Power up and use Command key, then all partitions show, including a recovery for each bootable partition, and they work correctly. Then the other bootable partitions work. More so, you can use the regular startup manager within OS X to boot between the other two. But one you return to EC, the incorrect cycle repeats.

Reply to Battery Darin Worse on Beta 2?
Agreed with others here. My battery performance had probably halved on my iPhone 6+ and Watch with the first betas of iOS9 & Watch OS2 but beta two has probably recovered around half of what I had lost in performance. Would be more likely to recommend it as a beta now.

Where is the "Games/Educational" category?
I just wanted to look up our new app in iTunes on my Mac and when looking into the Games/Educational subcategories in a lot of countries the app is listed under new/free. BUT when switching to the U.S. store in iTunes there is not Games/Educational category!I wonder if this is a bug or if the subcategory is not existend! Please help me answer this because it is essential for us, so we can put our app in the correct subcategories. It doesn't help when there is no such subcategory in the american store because visibility then is zero for this.Thank you!

Reply to Code already redeemed - nothing in Updates or Purchases
We're getting a bit of topic here, but if you can't install and you can't restore, you could try booting into Single User Mode:Hold down Command and S keys at bootup for 10 secs or so. Wait until the command-line prompt appears (after all the text is done scrolling past.) Then type fsck -fy and press Return. Eventually, after five different checks that take varying amounts of time, you should get to one of two messages: The volume [your Mac's name] appears to be OK or FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED. If you encounter the first message, type reboot and press Return. If you see the latter message, though, you'll want to run fsck -fy all over again. You can retype the command and hit Return, or press the Up arrow once and then press Return. If that doesn't work you can also erase your El Capitan partition in SUM and try again. Finally, if all else fails, you can restore to your original OS X with Internet Revovery mode:Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMA

webvtt sync issues
I'm seeing issues with WebVTT subtitles drifting out of sync with the video. If I seek, they get back in sync, but drift out again. The timestamps in the webVTT files all seem correct. Here is an example:Variant List m3u8 URL: http://content.uplynk.com/3370fb9a2d6645488f833c9324c75383.m3u8The subtitle of motion, flexibility, stabilization and core body temperature should show up at about 11 seconds into the video:$ curl https://stg-ec-ore-u.uplynk.com/slices/337/61f0fb60fbd546a39cada793bd66a106/3370fb9a2d6645488f833c9324c75383/0400000002.vttWEBVTTX-TIMESTAMP-MAP=LOCAL:00:00:00.000,MPEGTS:72192000:00:02.023 --> 00:00:03.067 line:85% align:leftA mobility workout increases range00:00:03.108 --> 00:00:07.114 line:85% align:middleof motion, flexibility, stabilizationand core body temperatureThe stream starts with MPEGTS = 0, so MPEGTS 721920 is 8.021 seconds. Adding the 3.108 timestamp for the caption from the .vtt file, the caption should show at 11.129 seconds. But instead, it shows at 17 seconds

Save NSInMemoryStore into a NSSQLLiteStore ?
Hello, I built an app using CoreData, and the model and the logic are great, the only problem, is that I have serious performance issues, my CPU reaches easily 90%. I found a solution using a InMemoryTypeStore, but I need to save its content into my persistent SQLLite Store using NSOperationQueue. Is somebody has a solution ? I basically want to use the InMemoryStore, and sync it everytime in another thread to the sqllite Store. Some help willl really be appreciated. Thanks in advanceR.H

Reply to Number of Download
What do you mean by download? If you mean the number of accounts that have purchased your application (even free applications get purchased) then that's listed as sales, whatever the user's iOS version is. Updates, installs, reinstalls, etc. are messy stastics to try to figure out from the sales reports, but that'll be all you have to work with.If you mean the specific data like number of times installed/reinstalled from the store as provided for iOS 8, then you're going to have to accept a whole lot of That information isn't available for previous versions. There are a lot of pieces to the analytics software, and some of those pieces just aren't present on the iOS 7 devices.
