Lost all old iCloud notes after upgrade to iOS 9 beta
I upgraded my phone to iOS 9 Developer Beta and my MacBook to El Capitan Developer Beta. I had several notes stored on iCloud and they are all now missing. On the desktop Notes app I don't see them at all.On the iPhone, I briefly saw them when I first launched the new Notes app, they were in a separate group called ICLOUD with the option to Copy to iCloud. I selected this and the Notes app crashed. Now when I re-run the app all the notes are gone.Is there any way to recover my notes?

Reply to Manually manage display on/off
I've thought about this a lot, since I have a similar need to keep the screen on when my app is running. I think the only way to keep the screen on indefinitely is by using Wallet (aka the new Passbook). When you display a pass, the screen doesn't go off for a long time. This should be enough time to do whatever you need to do.

Reply to Playground not displaying output
No, the right column is blank when creating a new playground, too.I just updated to the 10.11 beta, and the issue is the same there. After sitting for about ten minutes, an error popped up:Error running playground.Failed to launch iOS stub for playground execution:error: no process found with ID 3436.I recall a similar error in 10.10.3.

Reply to unable to debug watchOS 2 app with Xcode 7
I managed to get the Apple Watch app working on the simulator, but it doesn't work all of the time, and I can't predict when it will work. One technique that has helped me is to uninstall the Apple Watch app on the simulator (click and hold on the app, and then click the 'X' that appears). Then try running your app from Xcode.I've also tried installing/uninstalling via the Apple Watch app. Open the Apple Watch app on the iPhone simulator, find your app in the list, and tap on it. Untoggle the option that says Show App on Apple Watch to uninstall the app, and then toggle it to reinstall the app.Hopefully these techniques work for others as well. Again, it doesn't work all of the time, but it's better than not being able to run your app at all!

iOS: "Forget" bluetooth peripheral programmatically
Hello,I'm using Core Bluetooth to pair with a bluetooth peripheral (encrypted connection). Currently, it seems like the only way to forget or unpair the bluetooth peripheral after successfully pairing with it is through Settings > Bluetooth > Device Name > Forget This Device.I've noticed that some apps (like this one: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/elgato-smart-key/id674533376?mt=8), allow a user to forget a connected device programmatically through the app (and to my surprise the paired peripheral is also removed from the Settings app, even though it previously showed up there as well). Does anybody know how forgetting a paired device programmatically is possible? Thanks!

Reply to Does WatchKit Extension code run on watch in watchOS 2?
I'm still trying to catch up here. jgobble, how does your current app work in the 2.0 simulator? As in, you've got lat/long being run on the watch (ie background in the phone) and displayed on the watch. What happens when watch 2.0 asks for a lat/long position? does it just fail now because the watch has no GPS, or is it smart enough to get it from the phone? In other words, will current code asking for lat/long still work, or does it have to be redone with watchConnectivity to work now? As you say, a lot of stuff to have to redo so soon after the 1.0 release! thanks for the help here.

Reply to watches 2 downgrade
Does anyone have a solution to this?I wanted to test out iOS 9 and watchOS 2. Neither of them worked well enough for me to really develop on. I mostly did this because I wanted to test out the new custom complications feature available to developers in watchOS 2, and as far as I know, this is not possible in the watchOS simulator still.I downgraded my iPhone 5S and iPad Air to iOS 8.3 no problem. I cannot downgrade my Apple Watch 42mm Black Sport to WatchKit 1.0.1 (I think that was the version of it, it was the first official update to the Apple Watch).Right now, it seems that until I put iOS 9 back on my iPhone 5S, I cannot use my Apple Watch, because I cannot pair with it using iOS 8.3. I have looked everywhere and no one seems to have a solution to this. Can I go to the Apple Store and get my Apple Watch reset with that hidden debug port underneath the removeable strap?I need to get my Apple Watch functioning again ASAP.P.S. watchOS 2 beta was especially horrible for anything network-related. Same with iOS

Reply to iOS 9 Beta battery life
This is not my experience with other Betas from IOS 5 on... my phone does run hot, (64 GB iPhone 6), and was dead after 6 hours. I also sent a message to Step Tracker, and he has fixed the half count on IOS9 as of this date. One thing to note: the steps did not count after the battery went dead this monring. I have been running it since day before yesterday as well as El Capitan, which seems much more refines.

MKMapViewDelegate no longer supported?
Hi all, I have an app that was using MKMapViewDelegate to ask for location data. With AppleWatch 2.0, I am being told this delegate is no longer supported (along with startupdatinglocation). I assume this is because the watch is running independently now. So... my question is: how do I now ask for location information? Watch Connectivity, as I understand it, only works when the phone is actually running, but perhaps I can ask for background updates? Or is there another solution?I hope there is a way around GPS location data, as a few of my apps need this to run. Thanks!
