App rejected as it is considered as spam
Hi, unfortunaley my app was rejected the 2nd time with a reference to Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam with the explanation We found in our review that your app is primarily a drinking game app. Since there are many drinking game apps already on the App Store, your app duplicates their content and functionality. This is considered a form of spam. In principle the reviewer is right, my app is mainly a drinking game app. I added another play mode after the first rejection but the app remains as a card game / drinking game app. Now I want to prevent the situation that I work many more hours on this app implementing additional features and getting rejected again and again. Does anybody of you have experience with those kinds of rejections? I mean there is enough of almost any kind of app in the App Store; often apps have just slight differences in design or functionality between each other and did get the approval. I thought offering an app (of course having similarities to existing ones but nothing was cop

App moderation process problem
Hello, My app was rejected because of App Review Guideline 4.3 – Design Spam. The response I received states: “We noticed your app shares similar features, interface design, and functionality with other apps available on the App Store. Apps that duplicate content or functionality from other apps without adding significant value or unique user experiences are considered spam and will not be approved for distribution.” I developed Plinking Platform Rise, a reaction and accuracy game where players control a platform to balance a ball while avoiding obstacles. The game becomes more challenging with each level, and a dark mode adds an exciting element by reducing visibility and requiring greater precision. I’ve tried multiple times to understand the exact reasons for this rejection and made several updates to address potential issues, but all my efforts have been ignored by App Review. None of the changes I implemented led to a resolution. This is the first app I’ve submitted to the App Store, and I devel

App not approved. We are an educational game about sharks.
Our app is being rejected and i have reasons to believe it isn't properly reviewed. My app/ game has Features: Create your own Sharki Stickers with our Unique Sharki Generator, A page dedicated to Raise Awareness to help save Sharks, The core of the game is to be educational Also one part of the app is a mini game (it is flappy like on surface which i think is the main reason for rejection, but we have so much more than that, and without proper review the content of the game fails to shine.) its a game where you have to prevent the shark from falling while avoiding obstacles ,(its not a tap on the screen and it moves, you have to follow the sharks movement and prevent it to fall) and you get educational content with different shark facts and trivias by playing. "spam" rejection for app dating back 15-years
I have a series of 4 titles that date back 15(!) years in the app store. The games are series (like Super Mario Brothers) - where the game play is largely identical - but the levels are entirely different. 3 versions of the game share much of the source code. I recently tried to release an update to one of them - and found my app rejected due to being Spam. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam Specifically, this app is available in the same locations as another identical app you submitted to the App Store. I've tried appealing - and even sent app review videos of a happy customer playing different installments of the series all-the-way-through. I long ago gave up charging for the game (there aren't even ads). I am trying to keep them up-to-date largely because they are still popular with kids and retro-gamers. When I expressed confusion about why now - after 15-years there is suddenly a problem - I received: Thank you for your reply. Please note that previous approval to the App Store does not guarantee

My game was decompiled and published on the App Store
Hi everyone, I'm the developer of Evil Neighbor games. https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Tonny+Nevel My game was decompiled and published on the App Store. Public Beta Portal Hanging? beta.apple.com/profile not working
Hello everyone,I am a member of the Public Beta program, and was looking to install the iOS 9.1 public beta (Beta 3, currently). Before I continue, I'd like to say I have a long history with iOS betas (going all the way back to iOS 4.3), so I know what I'm getting myself into. I am sure most of you know that the Beta Profile is necessary to install the beta OTA. On my iPhone 5s, this was not a problem. I went to the beta.apple.com/profile address in Safari, and logged into my Apple account through the Public Beta Portal without issue. I was able to install the Beta Profile no problem. Now, I attempted to log in through the portal on my iPad Mini 2 in Safari, and it hangs at the log in screen. It begins to load, and never finishes. If I set auto-lock to Never, it would attempt to load the page until the battery ran out. I tried to log in on other browsers, and it went through just fine; the only problem with this is I cannot load the Beta Profile into the Settings app through a third-party browser, as

Our app has a Design-Spam/Duplicate Issue
Hi, We keep receiving this response from the App Store review: Guideline 4.3 - Design This app duplicates the content and functionality of other apps submitted by you or another developer to the App Store, which is considered a form of spam. Apps that simply duplicate content or functionality create clutter, diminish the overall experience for the end user, and reduce the ability of developers to market their apps. Next Steps Review the Design section of the App Store Review Guidelines. Ensure your app is compliant with all sections of the App Store Review Guidelines and the Terms & Conditions of the Apple Developer Program. Once your app is fully compliant, resubmit your app for review. And those are the main steps to reproduce the issue: Create our app. Submit the app to the App Store. The app got approved. Odd memory usage in user space application causing kernel panics
Hello, We are developing a multimedia routing platform written in Rust and uses gstreamer 1.20. We are targeting running on Mac Minis (older intel and newer M1/2/3/... w/ 8GB ram) using macOS 14.6.1 I have profiled memory usage using XCode instruments with the allocation tool, stack and heap memory is very stable once the pipelines are up and running. There are between 50 to 100 incoming RTSP streams with multiple webrtc connections, so lots of network and memory bandwidth is being used. However, we eventually see real memory usage increasing in Activity Monitor along with memory pressure increasing, but the heap/stack usage is constant in instruments, so we do not understand this behavior. Page fragmentation is a possibility, but have not been able to prove this with instruments. Please see attached image. You can see that 10-minute run had a total of approx 4.3 GB of allocations, but only 50.17MB persistent. Eventually we see kernel panics in either userspace watchdog timeout: no successful checkins

App rejected into beta testing design spam.
I recently submitted my app, Ai voice changer - Video effects (Build version 1.0.0 (2)), for beta testing and received feedback indicating that my app was rejected due to a violation of Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. The rejection email states that my app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept to apps already submitted to the App Store, with only minor differences, leading to the classification of my app as spam. I would like to respectfully request clarification regarding the specific aspects of my app that led to this rejection. I have ensured that the app I submitted offers unique functionalities and has been carefully designed to stand out from other apps in the same category. The features of my app, including apply voice changer effects on videos, were developed with originality and are intended to offer a new experience to users. To provide additional context, my app was created using a unique approach and has distinct features compared to other voice changers available on the App

Unfair Rejection – Minglr App Constantly Denied Without Clear Justification (Escalation Request)
Hello Apple Developer Community, We are reaching out in frustration after facing multiple rejections for our app, Minglr, under Guideline 4.3(a) – Spam, despite the fact that: • Our app was approved in May 2024 and has passed four updates without any issue related to design or concept similarity. • The current rejection contradicts Apple’s own approval history, despite no fundamental changes to our UI/UX. • We have built Minglr’s design from scratch in Figma (with a full design history to prove it) and yet are not being given the opportunity to provide evidence. • We have requested Apple to clarify which app they are comparing us to, but they refuse to provide details, making it impossible to properly address their concerns. Why This Feels Unfair & Inconsistent • Apple continues to approve apps with identical UI and UX (such as dating apps), yet a completely different social app like Minglr is being flagged without justification. • If a similar app exists, Apple should confirm whether it was subm

I recently decided to re-upload a game I've created a while back since I have the spare time to refine it to adhere to today's requirements. Rejected for Guideline 4.3a - Spam and Account Termination because of that
Hello, I am a solo game developer with four years of experience, and I have recently decided to publish my games on the Apple App Store to bring a fresh vibe and address some issues I noticed in my game genre. I create games from scratch, often combining two genres to create unique experiences. One example is my electric car driving simulator, which includes unique systems like temperature-affected battery range, dynamic weather, a battery company management feature, police escape missions, and more. (Electric car games are not very common on the App Store, and mine stands out with these innovative features.) However, I’ve been facing issues when trying to publish my games. Since I began submitting my games, I’ve received repeated 4.3 Design Spam rejections. Whenever I request concrete feedback to understand the reasons behind these rejections, I consistently get the same general response about binary data, metadata, or game concepts. Recently, I was notified that my account is going to be suspended
