complaint about the fake activities of two app creators
I am writing to make a complaint about the fake activities of two app creators , which you should take a serious action against them. PDF Scanner & Editor + (https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/hq-tools/id1676624003) Good PDF Editor (https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/khelp-tim-tov/id1650247356) Previously, I had reported these two apps, (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/718992 ) and now again. These two apps are using spamming strategies and tries to exploit App Store leaks on their marketing.

These two apps are exactly same as each other, and it has been creating by one creator, With Different name, But even the seller name has same pattern, Both has TOV expression at the end, It is obviously shown these two apps which are exactly same as each other, has one Creator. Seller: SKOL LTD, TOV Seller: KHELP TIM, TOV Recently Appstore took an action against a leak of the Appstore and those creators who used the word Good in the title of their App Event or name of the app, Now if you look at these

App rejected by app store connect guideline 4.1, but nothing explicitly mentioned
I submitted my (first) app to apple review a few days ago, and today I got a message back saying it was rejected for the following reason: -- Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps submitted to the App Store should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not. The next submission of this app may require a longer review time. (next steps segment omitted) -- In the next steps segment, it told me to review a the app store review guidelines and to make sure the app is compliant with the app store review guidelines and the terms and conditions. I did all of that and sent a message to app review, and haven't gotten a message back. What frusturates me is that the email never explicitly says anything about what I allegedly copied. It is n

4.1 Design Copycats - App Store error solved
I got this error on version 1.0 and 1.1 of my latest app I submitted. They helpfully attached the cause of the error which happened to be two images, which even though it was copyright free, were somehow causing this error. They were in my launch screen and in app icon. So I uploaded my 1.1 version removing the images from my Xcode asset folder, app icon, and launch screen, and also in the iPhone screenshots on the submit page. Again I got the same error, and while waiting for the build to be distributed, I realised I hadn’t removed the trouble-causing image from my iPad screenshots. Once I removed it from there, it was a breeze. So look at the attachments they send, if it's images that's causing the error, remove them from all places where you have uploaded. Hope it helps.

CopyCat App Rejection
Apple is repeatedly rejecting our app and saying, that it's copying ITSELF. We don't know what to do and seem stuck in an infinite loop. Attaching documents, comments, etc. does not work. Has anyone ever had this happen? We have resubmitted 3 times now and each time it's saying Specifically, your app includes content that resembles TV Red. Our app IS TV Red. We ARE TV Red.

Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats. Submission Rejected
I'm looking for a little help understanding what Apple considers a copycat. I've been trying to get my app on the store for over a week but I fear that no matter what I do it will continue to be rejected. :( Hello, The issues we previously identified still need your attention. If you have any questions, we are here to help. Reply to this message in App Store Connect and let us know. Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats Your app or its metadata appears to contain misleading content. Specifically, your app includes content that resembles ‘******’ without the necessary authorization. Next Steps You may attach documentary evidence in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect. Alternatively, please remove the third-party content from your app and its metadata.

Game rejected due to Bitcoin logo - Copycats
Hi everyone, Last month, my endless runner game set in a crypto world was rejected for using the Bitcoin logo, labeled as a Copycats issue. We were asked to remove the logo and Bitcoin prices, even though the Bitcoin logo is public domain. I noticed other Bitcoin games on the AppStore were updated recently without any problems. I couldn't find any rules against using Bitcoin in the guidelines. When I appealed, they just told me to remove it again but didn't explain why. We've updated our game several times before, and only this small bug fix was rejected. Any advice on what are the next step? Anyone experienced this? Cheers

CopyCat Rejection - What documentation is needed to prove the app is mine?
I have submitted my app twice, with specific documentation showcasing the termination of agreement of the original release of my game via a publisher two years ago. The original released was removed from the App Store over a year ago and the publishers App Dev account closed. I have now finally readied my game to be published by myself on the App store but keep getting rejected with this info: Your app's metadata contains content that is similar to third-party content, which may create a misleading association with another developer's app or intellectual property. Specifically, the app's description, name, and icons includes references to xxxxxx. Next Steps It would be appropriate to revise the app and metadata to remove this third-party content before resubmitting for review. If you have the necessary rights to distribute an app with this third-party content, attach documentary evidence in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect and reply to this message. ______ The App is built from MY Unity

CopyCat Rejection - what documents are required to verify that the app is mine?
Hello. I've tried a dozen times to upload my app, each time getting a response that the app was rejected due to 4.1 copycats. The most recent response: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats. This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. On my requests to clarify what exactly was identified as copycats, no specifics were given to me. Because of this I conclude that it is not about some stock images or sound assets, but that it is specifically about my application (name and icon). I am the solo developer of the app and it has been available for 5 years on Google Play. No other platforms have my app on them, only Google Play. Since Apple has not provided me with specifics about what they need as proof of rights to the app, I have screen recorded my personal Google Play Developer Console account, which proves that I have all th

Reply to CopyCat Rejection - what documents are required to verify that the app is mine?
if I am a solo developer with every right to my own app. I don't think that's the point. You could be a solo developer, having fully developed the app but have designed it very similar to another app. Or your app name or visual appear too similar to an existing app. The fact that it is on another store does not matter for the reviewer. Have you searched the appstore for such similar app ? Once you have found you could either modify your app or try to explain to reviewer why it is not copycat (more difficult).

Publicando App para Terceiros

Publishing App for Third Parties
I work for a company that provides services implementing, maintaining, and publishing systems for municipalities. We have now developed an app for a municipality, but when trying to publish it, Apple is rejecting it, stating that we cannot publish on behalf of another company. On the first submission, they rejected it with: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles Sistema da Prefeitura without the necessary authorization. Next Steps Please demonstrate your relationship with any third-party brand owners represented in the app. We obtained a digitally signed document from the municipality stating that we are responsible for their systems, authorizing everything, etc... We made a new submission for review. However, it was now rejected with: Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage The app must be published under a seller and company name that is associated with

CopyCat Rejection - Which documents are necessary to prove that the app belongs to me and how?
This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not.... For the past four years, my app has been live on the Play Store and is also accessible on several other platforms. Despite this, my attempts to publish it on the App Store have been consistently rejected citing Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats. Apple has not specified the exact proof of rights they are looking for. To address this, I have recorded my personal Google Play Developer Console account to showcase that I possess all the required rights to manage the app on Google Play. I am seeking advice on the best course of action to resolve this issue.

App rejected due to Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats

Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not.... I have faced multiple rejections for my app due to the same issue. However, the Apple reviewer has not provided any specific information about where the issue lies, making it difficult for me to address it. In the subsequent steps, I was instructed to thoroughly review the app store review guidelines and ensure compliance with them, which I have done. I have also reached out to the app review team but have not received a response yet. It is frustrating that the email does not mention the exact content that is being considered as copied. It feels like a generic message, and I am unsure about the next course of action. If anyone has been in a similar situation or has insights into
