Spam 4.3 (a)
Hello everyone, I’ve reached out to Apple’s review team multiple times, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any clear or specific guidance on why my app was rejected. My app has been rejected several times with the reason “Spam” under guideline 4.3, and I still don't understand exactly which part of the app is problematic. Even after providing the necessary information about the data, I resubmitted the app, and after a few days, it quickly moved into In Review status, but then was rejected within seconds with the same “Spam” message. I have sent over 13 messages asking for specific feedback, and all I get are vague responses saying “It’s spam, refer to 4.3, fix your app, and resubmit.” However, when I review the guidelines, I don’t see any specific reasons for rejection that apply to my app. I’m particularly confused because my app is a VPN, and when I check the guidelines, I see that apps in categories like dating and others are saturated, but VPN apps are not. My app uses completely dedicated ser

MapKit JS 401 Not Authorized (details empty) even with multiple token variants
Hi everyone, I’m troubleshooting a persistent MapKit JS auth issue and would appreciate any advice. I have: Active Apple Developer account/team Maps configuration created and linked Active Maps-enabled signing key Domain-restricted token setup I tested multiple JWT variants: with origin without origin (basic example style) with and without exp exact domain and wildcard domain variants I also tested using a minimal/basic MapKit JS integration and still got the same result. Bootstrap request: `curl -s --compressed -D - 'https://cdn.apple-mapkit.com/ma/bootstrap?apiVersion=2&mkjsVersion=5.81.60&poi=1' -H 'Authorization: Bearer ' -H 'Origin: https://' -H 'Referer: https:///...' Result is always:` HTTP 401 {error:{message:Not Authorized, details:[]}} Important detail: mapkit.core.js loads successfully (HTTP 200) failure happens only on bootstrap auth Has anyone seen this exact behavior with empty details and found what was wrong? DJI Osmo Mobile 8 — DockKit motor control APIs not working (setAngularVelocity, setOrientation)
I'm developing an iOS app that uses Apple's DockKit framework to control gimbals. I've tested with the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro and the DJI Osmo Mobile 8. The Flow 2 Pro supports all DockKit motor control APIs — setAngularVelocity, setOrientation, setLimits — which lets my app do manual pan/tilt control via a virtual joystick. The Osmo Mobile 8 (model DS308, firmware 1.0.0) connects fine via DockKit and reports as docked, but every motor control API fails with The device doesn't support the requested operation: setAngularVelocity — fails setOrientation(relative: true) — fails setLimits — fails The only thing that works is Apple's system tracking (setSystemTrackingEnabled(true)) for automatic face/body following. This means there's no way for third-party apps to do manual gimbal control (pan/tilt via joystick) on the Osmo 8 through DockKit — only automatic tracking works. Questions: Is anyone else seeing the same limitation with the Osmo 8 and DockKit? Has DJI confirmed whether manual motor contro

App Review: submission stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 3+ days
Hi — I submitted ClaudeScope (a utility app, Bundle ID io.sandwichlab.claudescope, Apple ID 6761888911) for review on April 12, 19:40 PDT. It's been in Waiting for Review for over three calendar days and I just want to confirm there isn't a metadata issue quietly blocking the queue. Details: App name: ClaudeScope Bundle ID: io.sandwichlab.claudescope Apple ID: 6761888911 Version 1.0.0 (build 2) Current status: Waiting for Review No rejection or reviewer message in Resolution Center Happy to provide additional information if needed. Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Reply to What is ~/.CFUserTextEncoding used for?
Thanks for the post, looks like there is an old thread about this file on the consumer apple discussions forum https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2254222?sortBy=rank And how CFStringGetSystemEncoding works https://developer.apple.com/documentation/corefoundation/cfstringgetsystemencoding()?language=objc https://developer.apple.com/documentation/corefoundation/cfstringgetsystemencoding() So it look like this file is a configuration file used by macOS. I would recommend to put your questions on the thread above. Hope this helps. Albert

Apple Watch co-sysdiagnose not generated in Family Setup / managed account scenario
Hi everyone, I’m currently researching Apple Watch pairing behavior and diagnostic logging across different setup modes. I can reliably trigger a co-sysdiagnose on an Apple Watch when it is paired in a normal standalone / standard configuration. In that case, the expected co-sysdiagnose archive appears on the paired iPhone. However, in a Family Setup / managed account scenario, behavior is different: The watch provides the expected haptic feedback after the sysdiagnose button combination But no co-sysdiagnose archive appears on the paired iPhone afterward The same hardware behaves differently depending on pairing/account configuration My question is: Is co-sysdiagnose collection, transport, or availability intentionally different for Family Setup / managed Apple Watch devices? For example: Are logs stored elsewhere? Is transfer to the organizer iPhone restricted? Is co-sysdiagnose unsupported in Family Setup mode? Are additional conditions required, such as Wi-Fi, charging state, un

Reply to Apple Watch co-sysdiagnose not generated in Family Setup / managed account scenario
For debugging purpose, is there any chance that you can log in your Apple Watch and paired iPhone with an administrator account and see if that changes anything? I am guessing that it is an intentional limit to prevent a managed device from leaking something in a sysdiagnose. You can start with filing a feedback report to see what the sysdiagnose folks have to say – If you do so, please share your report ID here. Thanks. AlarmKit alerting-phase playback is significantly quieter than equivalent in-app playback using AVAudioSession(.playback)
Hi all, I’m trying to determine whether the loudness gap I’m seeing between AlarmKit alert playback and normal app-managed playback is expected behavior, a sound-asset issue, or something that should be reported as a bug. Observed behavior When an alarm fires through AlarmKit while the device is locked, the alarm sound is significantly quieter than playback of the same or very similar audio once the app is active and using its own audio session. The difference is large enough that it does not feel like a small mastering difference. It feels like the AlarmKit / system alerting path is using a meaningfully lower effective output level than normal app playback. Test scenario My repro is roughly: Schedule an alarm with AlarmKit. Lock the device. Let the alarm fire and listen during the system alerting phase. Enter the app / continue into the app-driven alarm experience. Play the same or equivalent alarm asset via app-managed playback. Result: AlarmKit / lock-screen alerting phase sounds much quieter. In-app playb

Apple Developer Account permanent Termination/Deletion request
I am requesting full deletion and termination of my apple developer account and all data and revocation of the Apple Developer Agreement. I am revoking Apple Developer Agreement. This should be irreversible. I have already tried to contact apple developer support few times and the request just gets ignored and closed. The developer account is associated with my Apple ID that I am on forums with. Thanks.

Reply to MapKit JS 401 Not Authorized (details empty) even with multiple token variants
Running into this as well, 401s on Restriction None Mapkit JS tokens generated on https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/services/maps-tokens Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 (Unauthorized) There seems to be a mismatch some where because all of my tokens get a 401 even with Restriction None.

Hello jbhewitt, DockKit engineers are not able to reproduce this issue with the sample app published by Apple. Can you please try the sample app and look at the reference implementation? https://developer.apple.com/documentation/DockKit/controlling-a-dockkit-accessory-using-your-camera-app
