Migrating to StoreKit 2
Hi Friends, I have an iOS app, which uses around 500 in app purchases for various modules. I am using StoreKit for in app purchase, now trying to migrate this to StoreKit 2. I am using Product.products(for:) method to fetch all the products by sending identifiers of all the 500 In app purchases. In response, I am getting details of only 160 products, the method is not returning remaining in app purchases. What could be the reason for this behaviour, how to get rid of the issue? May be is this the issue will happen only on TestFlight? If someone from Apple assures about it, we have plan to submit the app. Please advise, Thank you.

The Apple Pay interface is not responding
My server's access to Apple's payment interface (buy. itunes. apple. com/verifiyReceipt) has been unresponsive since the end of March, and I have been searching for a long time without finding any issues. Normally, even if the data is incorrect, there is still a {"status": 21000} response. We are using Alibaba Cloud's virtual servers here. I don't know if Apple has made any adjustments to the interface. If anyone has encountered this problem, please kindly help to answer it. Thank you all.

Issues with Integration of Promotional Offers in React Native app
Hi All, We are trying to integrate Promotional Offer in our app, We have a React Native app and are using react-native-iap for handling our in app purchases, as per the documentation we are generating signature in our BE and passing the proper details to the function as well, but for subscription request which have offer applied we are getting the apple pop up properly as well with offer details but when trying to subscribe it gives us SKErrroDomain: 12, for subscription without applying offer the subscription goes through but when we apply the offer we get the above error. Our app is currently in Development Stages and has not been sent for review sam for our subscription plans as well. Please let me know what could be the probable cause for this and help us resolve the issue. This is the code snippet of ours for the front end : export const buySubscription = async (subscriptionData: any) => { try { if (subscriptionData.offer_id) { const response = await getSubscriptionSignature( subscriptionData.productId, subscriptionData.offer_id, ); const offerData = response?.data; const offer = { identifier: offerData?.offer_id, keyIdentifier: offerData?.key_id, nonce: offerData?.nonce, signature: offerData?.signature, timestamp: Number(offerData?.timestamp), }; await requestSubscription({ sku: subscriptionData.productId, withOffer: offer, }); } else { await requestSubscription({ sku: subscriptionData.productId }); } } catch (err) { logger.error('Subscription error: ' + JSON.stringify(err)); throw err; } }; and
from my python Backend which generates the signature:

def generate_signature(self, product_id: str, offer_id: str) -> dict: """ Generate signature for Apple StoreKit promotional offers. Args: product_id: The product identifier from App Store Connect offer_id: The promotional offer identifier Returns: dict: Contains signature and required metadata Reference: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/in-app_purchase/original_api_for_in-app_purchase/subscriptions_and_offers/implementing_promotional_offers_in_your_app """ try: # Generate UUID without dashes and use as nonce nonce = str(uuid.uuid4()) timestamp = get_current_time_ms() # milliseconds # Create the payload string in exact order required by Apple payload_components = [ self.bundle_id, # App Bundle ID self.key_id, # Key ID from App Store Connect product_id, # Product identifier offer_id, # Promotional offer identifier nonce, # UUID without dashes str(timestamp) # Current timestamp in milliseconds ] payload_str = "\u2063".join(payload_components) # Use Unicode separator logger.debug(f"Signing payload: {payload_str}") # Create SHA256 hash of the payload digest = hashes.Hash(hashes.SHA256()) digest.update(payload_str.encode('utf-8')) payload_hash = digest.finalize() # Sign the hash using ES256 (ECDSA with SHA-256) signature = self.private_key.sign( data=payload_hash, signature_algorithm=ec.ECDSA(hashes.SHA256()) ) # Encode signature in base64 signature_b64 = base64.b64encode(signature).decode('utf-8') logger.info(f"Generated signature for product {product_id} and offer {offer_id}") return { "key_id": self.key_id, # Changed to match Apple's naming "nonce": nonce, # UUID without dashes "timestamp": timestamp, # As integer "signature": signature_b64, # Base64 encoded signature "product_id": product_id, # Changed to match Apple's naming "offer_id": offer_id # Changed to match Apple's naming } except Exception as e: logger.error(f"Failed to generate signature: {str(e)}") raise HTTPException( status_code=500, detail=f"Failed to generate signature: {str(e)}" )

not getting stable release versions of some apps from the ios app store
I have been receiving beta software from the iPad App Store, despite not being enrolled in a beta program. Additionally, I do not have TestFlight or the Feedback app installed on my device. There are no certificates or profiles displayed either. I am using the App Store app that comes preinstalled on my device (note that I am not located in Europe). My iPad has been experiencing significant bugs, including numerous screen glitches and periods of sluggishness. Furthermore, numerous applications have crashed frequently. I was able to confirm that I was receiving beta software because the crash reports include beta identifier numbers. According to Apple documentation regarding analytic reports, a beta identifier will only be visible for beta applications. anyone know what could be going on or how to fix this?

Cannot see support instruction pages or entitlement request page for external purchase links.
Hello! I am trying to get my app set up to support external payments. The snag I am hitting at the moment is it seems that relevant pages are not accessible? There is this old EU doc https://developer.apple.com/support/apps-using-alternative-payment-providers-in-the-eu/ But the more updated US doc titled "Distributing apps in the U.S. that provide an external purchase link - Support" is not available where it should be https://developer.apple.com/support/storekit-external-entitlement-us/ In addition the link for requesting the entitlement seems to be broken https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/storekit-external-entitlement-us/ Any idea how one can access these? Perhaps this is just a temporary error?

Get the region currently used in the macOS App Store
How can I get the region region currently used in the macOS App Store? Preferably via Swift libraries, but any command / function will suffice. The following StoreKit property seems to always return the region for the Apple Account associated with my macOS user. await Storefront.current?.countryCode See the Apple docs. My macOS Apple Account region is US; in the App Store, when I sign into a different Apple Account whose region is GB (UK), Storefront.current?.countryCode continues to return US, not GB (or UK). I correctly see prices in pounds instead of in dollars, British spelling instead of American spelling, apps listed in my purchased tab for the UK (not the US) Apple Account, and, in the Account Settings dialog, the UK Apple Account email address, billing address & Country/Region set to United Kingdom. I didn't get any relevant results from the following command lines: defaults find GB defaults find UK defaults find uk-apple-id@example.com defaults find uk-apple-id The following didn't change after I signed into the UK Apple Account in the App Store: $ defaults read com.apple.AppStoreComponents { ASCLocaleID = "en-US@calendar=gregorian"; } Maybe Storefront.current?.countryCode only specifies the country code for the Storefront that will be used for in-app purchases, instead of for purchasing new apps from the App Store; maybe the former is tied to the Apple Account for the macOS user, instead of to the Apple Account for the App Store. If that's the case, what other mechanism can I use to obtain the country code for the App Store storefront?

Best current approach to detecting legacy paid app download (without relying on deprecated APIs)?
I’m trying to determine the most appropriate modern method for detecting whether a user originally downloaded a paid app (prior to transitioning the app to freemium/IAP-based access). Historically, this was done by checking for a valid App Store receipt and using SKReceiptRefreshRequest to ensure a fresh one was available. However, SKReceiptRefreshRequest and many related aspects of StoreKit receipt handling are now deprecated in iOS 17+. The current Apple documentation on receipt validation still refers to SKReceiptRefreshRequest, which makes things unclear. With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.

TestFlight Subscription Upgrade Handling
Looking for assistance in managing subscription upgrades for TestFlight users. I have a few monthly subscriptions, 30days, each with a different set of available features, 1 with all, and 1 with fewer. (All are in proper order and grouped in App Store connection subscriptions) subscribing seems to be working fine, and purchasing an upgrade is going ok. what is not: reflecting the upgraded plan in app (currently reflects it will start in 30days when current subscription expires) I’m lead to believe this will be resolved with a live app in App Store, that will then handle prorating, terminate the old plan and immediately start the new one. looking for help getting TestFlight to show immediate upgrades.

StoreKit appAccountToken Not Preserved During Apple ID Email Migration
I'm encountering an issue with the App Store Server API where the appAccountToken is not preserved when users migrate their Apple ID email addresses. I've submitted Feedback Assistant ticket FB18709241 but wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this and get community input on best practices. The Issue When a user migrates their Apple ID from one email to another (e.g., from olduser@example.com to newuser@icloud.com), the App Store creates a new subscription transaction with a different originalTransactionId, but the appAccountToken is not carried forward from the original transaction. What I'm Seeing note: these values are fake When querying /inApps/v1/subscriptions/{originalTransactionId} with the either post-migration transaction ID or the pre-migration transaction ID, the API returns both transactions: Pre-migration transaction (status: 2 - inactive): originalTransactionId: "12345678910111" Contains: "appAccountToken": "abc123-def456-ghi789" Post-migration transaction (status: 1 - active): originalTransactionId: "67891011121314" Missing: appAccountToken entirely The Problem The appAccountToken is our only way to link App Store subscriptions to user accounts. Without it on the new transaction: Users lose access to premium features despite having valid subscriptions Server-side renewal notifications can't be matched to user accounts Manual support intervention is required for each affected user Questions for the Community Has anyone else encountered this issue with Apple ID migrations? What's the recommended approach for handling this scenario? Is there an alternative mechanism to maintain the subscription-to-user linkage across migrations? Questions for Apple Engineers Is this the expected behavior, or should the appAccountToken be preserved? Are there any planned improvements to handle this migration scenario? What's the best practice for developers to handle this case? Interestingly, both the old and new transaction IDs return the same JSON response from the App Store Server API, suggesting Apple maintains internal linkage between these transactions, but the appAccountToken isn't carried forward to the active transaction. Any insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!! Feedback Assistant: FB18709241

Business model changes by using the app transaction
Hello, I’m trying to change my business model within the app, and following Apple’s documentation guidelines HERE I created this task in the main view of the app. It seems to work perfectly in the simulator, on physical devices, and on TestFlight. However, after releasing it to production and uploading the new version to the App Store, it doesn’t work, and all users, whether new or existing, are asked to subscribe. In the console, it appears to retrieve the transactions correctly, but in production, I’m not sure how to view the console or see what it’s retrieving. Here the sandbox receipt I obtained AppTransaction.shared obtained: { "applicationVersion" : "1", "bundleId" : "com.anestesiaIB.Drugs-Infusion-Calc", "deviceVerification" : "6M0Nnw14nSEOBVTPE\/\/EfnWSwLm7LFSlrpFEwxgH74SBHp5dSzBEm896Uvo42mwr", "deviceVerificationNonce" : "8a8238c0-0aee-41e6-bfb0-1cfc52b70fb6", "originalApplicationVersion" : "1.0", "originalPurchaseDate" : 1375340400000, "receiptCreationDate" : 1737577840917, "receiptType" : "Sandbox", "requestDate" : 1737577840917 } This are the processing log while verified the receipt New business model change: 1.7 Original versionéis components: ["1", "0"] Major version: 1, Minor version: 0 This user is premium. Original version: 1.0 This is my task... .task { do { let shared = try await AppTransaction.shared if case .verified(let appTransaction) = shared { let newBusinessModelVersion = (1, 7) // Representado como (major, minor) let versionComponents = appTransaction.originalAppVersion.split(separator: ".") if let majorVersion = versionComponents.first.flatMap({ Int($0) }), let minorVersion = versionComponents.dropFirst().first.flatMap({ Int($0) }) { if (majorVersion, minorVersion) < newBusinessModelVersion { self.premiumStatus.isPremium = true isPremium = true } else { let customerInfo = try await Purchases.shared.customerInfo() self.premiumStatus.isPremium = customerInfo.entitlements["premium"]?.isActive == true isPremium = self.premiumStatus.isPremium } } else { print("Error: obteining version components") } } else { print("Not verified") } } catch { print("Error processing transaction: \(error.localizedDescription)") } }

Handling failed transactions in Storekit 2
When simulating a Storekit error like an invalid device verification or others of that type, should we finish a failed transaction? When I test with a Storekit configuration file, all failed transactions persist after every restart. The Apple-provided sample code for Storekit 2 has transactions finished only when they are successful.

App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments
Hey everyone, We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance. Our Setup: We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue. The Challenge: We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs. We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination. Our Questions: What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments? If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments? Is it possible to add custom properties to the App Store Server Notification V2 body to facilitate routing? Any advice or best practices you've implemented would be greatly appreciated.

Unexpected ONE_TIME_CHARGE Refund Callback After Successful Purchase
We are using consumable in-app purchases. Starting from May 27th, we began receiving refund callbacks with the notificationType set to ONE_TIME_CHARGE immediately after users successfully completed a payment. { "notificationType": "ONE_TIME_CHARGE", "signedPayload": "..." } During this period, we did not make any changes to our App release or server-side purchase handling logic. Could this issue result in actual refunds being processed? What steps should we take to resolve this issue? We also noticed in your changelog that a new notification type ONE_TIME_CHARGE has been introduced. Can we safely ignore callbacks with the ONE_TIME_CHARGE notification type without affecting refund processing or user experience?

App Store Server Notifications Update
Hello Apple Support Team, We're a developer team that has created an app with subscription-based features, and we've been using App Store Server Notifications to receive updates about user subscription status changes. I'm reaching out to inquire about potential modifications to the App Store Server Notifications approach that might have improved notification delivery times for my app. So on our appstore app, when a user purchases a subscription, the apple server notifications reach our server and send us the complete detail of that user’s purchase for eg he upgraded or downgraded etc. And then based on the data we receive from app store server notifications, we save it in our database, along with updating the users subscription table in the database. Previously, we experienced delays in receiving the real time notifications from apple on our server, sometimes taking a few minutes, while other times they would arrive immediately. And because of this issue, the users faced delay in seeing their subscription updates, as our db was updated only after the app store server notification reached our server. However, recently, we've noticed a significant improvement, and notifications are now being delivered still in real-time, but without any noticeable delays. I'm wondering if Apple has made any changes to the App Store Server Notifications system that might have resolved the delay issue. Could you please confirm if any modifications were made in 2025, specifically from January onwards, that might have improved notification delivery times? Additionally, I'd like to know if these changes apply to both sandbox testing and production environments. If possible, could you please provide more information about the changes or direct me to a resource that might explain the updates? I'd appreciate your assistance in confirming this information, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

Cannot get public keys for jwks verification
I am using the public url https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/jwsPublicKeys to get the jwks keys to verify the signed payload for store kit payments. I am checking Apple server notifications. const APPLE_JWKS_URL = "https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/jwsPublicKeys" // Apple JWK set (cached by jose) const appleJWKS = createRemoteJWKSet(new URL(APPLE_JWKS_URL)); const jwks = await appleJWKS(); logger.debug("Apple JWKS Keys: %O", jwks); // Log the keys if (!signedPayload) { // return res.status(400).json({ error: "Missing signedPayload" }); } // Step 1: Verify JWS (signature + payload) using Apple's JWKS const { payload, protectedHeader } = await jwtVerify( signedPayload, appleJWKS, { algorithms: ["ES256"], // Apple uses ES256 for signing } );

in-app purchases
I implemented consumable in-app purchases in an iPhone app using ProductView(). When I tap the payment button in ProductView(), I am taken to the payment screen and once the payment is completed the next code seems to be executed, so there doesn't seem to be a problem, but if I tap the payment button in ProductView() again, the next code is executed without taking me to the payment screen. This means that a single payment can be made multiple times. Can someone help? ProductView(id: "geminiOneMatch") .productViewStyle(.compact) .padding() .onInAppPurchaseCompletion { product, result in if case .success(.success(_)) = result { // 課金が成功した場合の処理 gemini.addOneMatch(amount: 20) popUpVM.geminiOneMatchPopUp = false dataManageVM.generateRespons(locale: locale) } }

Error setting install attribution pingback
Hi there, We have an app targeted for children and we want to use the SkAdNetwork to track installs for campaigns. We don't want to track further in-app events (purchase etc.), just the install event. We added the SDK to our Unity app, listed the network identifiers in the plist file, configured the external campaign according to their instructions, but struggle to see any events for several weeks now. We see the following logs in the app: Registering install attribution pingback. Failed to migrate Install Attribution database schema from 17001 => 17400. SkAdNetwork: No pingbacks found while attempting to register/update. Error setting install attribution pingback registered for app: 1509727806, error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain code=1208 How can we debug this further? What does the error mean? Thank you very much! (I hope I posted in the correct forum topic. Apologies if not)
