My company signed the application with enterprise certificate, the Provisioning Profile expired on March 20, 2025. Some iPhones didn't update the application before the expiration.
We have update the Provisioning Profile and repackaged application. However, these iPhones still can't use the application after reinstalling the new ipa. After opening the application, the screen is blank and then flashes back without any error prompt.
Restarting iPhone didn't help.

We have applications RME and RMEUI, which are added under FileProviders section. Looking for MDM profile that can lock these entries so that users cannot disable them. Currently we are using JAMF Pro MDM to control our applications.
In Sequoia OS -> Open System Preferences -> General -> Login Items & Extensions -> Under Extensions section -> File Providers
In Tahoe OS -> Open System Preferences -> General -> Login Items & Extensions -> Under By Category/App section -> File Providers
(In the screen shot you can find RME entry)

Hi.
I am writing a little MDM application.
Despite the basic task (add a password for 'remove profile' button in settings), it seems I am stuck with a problem:
When I try to enroll my device with enrollment.mobileconfig file, Apple Configurator app, I receive an error
The profile “Enrollment Profile” could not be installed because it is invalid.
Make sure the profile is valid and try installing it again.
The original architecture of my .mobileconfig contains of two payloads (com.apple.security.scep , com.apple.mdm), and it works correctly. However, when I try to add a third payload of com.apple.profileRemovalPassword , I receive the error stated above.
From logs collected on iPhone, here's what was found :
Failed to parse profile data. Error: NSError:
Desc : The profile “Enrollment Profile” is invalid.
Sugg : A profile containing an MDM payload must be removable.
US Desc: The profile “Enrollment Profile” is invalid.
US Sugg: A profile containing an MDM payload must be removable.

}
My main dictionary contains
HasRemovalPasscode
Also, I have tried playing around with
PayloadRemovalDisallowed
setting it to true and false, however, I keep getting the same error message.
There is also a second error produced:
Profile MCConfigurationProfile, version 1:
Display Name: “Enrollment Profile”
Description : “***”
Identifier : ***
UUID : ***
Organization: ***
Is Stub : No
Locked : Yes

Payload MCRemovalPasswordPayload, version 1
Identifier : com.examp Can't parse profile: <decode: missing data>
The code for com.apple.profileRemovalPassword is taken from apple documentation (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/profileremovalpassword)
I have also tried the automatic way - creating it from Apple Configurator, so it is correct in terms of syntax 100%.
Several important notes:
Creating a fresh new profile with just password removal protection single payload allows to perform a download of the profile
If I comment out the whole com.apple.mdm payload block, I will be able to download this profile on iPhone also
The com.apple.mdm block is also valid by itself, and works correctly
I have tried implementing other types of "dummy" payloads - for example com.apple.dock
<dict>
<key>PayloadType</key>
<string>com.apple.dock</string>
<key>PayloadVersion</key>
<integer>1</integer>
<key>PayloadIdentifier</key>
<string>com.example.test.dock</string>
<key>PayloadUUID</key>
<string>22222222-3333-4444-5555-666666666666</string>
<key>PersistentApps</key>
<array/>
</dict>
And everything worked out fine.
So my hypothetical conclusion out of these four notes might be in some type of interconnection between mdm and profileRemovalPassword, which isn't really listed anywhere? Or am I missing something ? Thank you in advance.
We are trying the renewal the apple Enterprise program. It asks set of questions after that it shows the below message
"Thank you for your request to renew your membership in the Apple Developer Enterprise Program. We’ll review your submission and get back to you shortly to let you know if we can process the renewal or if another program better serves your organization’s needs."
We have submitted for review for over two months now. During these two months, we have contacted the official customer service multiple times, only to be told to wait for news. Now, with only a few days left, The status hasn't changed, neither approved nor rejected, what should we do?This account is very important to our company. Thank you
New devices coming to this year is named as iPhone 17 ....
Why we care not going for iPhone 26. .... ?
if it is named as iPhone 26... in line with new version policy, it will be easier to relate in all perspective.
We have Apple MDM running for more than 250 schools. We are looking to upgrade our MDM solution and looking as much help as we can get to boost it up. Anyone with experience can help?

Hello, We have an internal enterprise app. After the provisioning profile (certificate) expired, some employees' iPhones still retained the old certificate when updating the app, causing the app to fail to open. We’ve tried restarting and reinstalling the app, but the issue persists. Having each employee manually reset network or device settings would be too operationally costly. Since this involves a large number of devices, we cannot use Apple Configurator to remove and reinstall certificates one by one. Therefore, we’d like to ask if there is a more efficient, batch-oriented solution to quickly resolve the certificate residue issue. We’d appreciate any suggestions for large-scale deployment methods. Thank you very much!
Hi everyone,
I’m working as an IT engineer in the cruise industry and need to troubleshoot passenger complaints about Apple’s new RCS messaging feature (introduced with iOS 18). Could someone help confirm which domains and ports iPhones use when they send RCS messages? My firewall team wants specifics: domains (or subdomains) that need whitelisting and the ports involved.
Any official or community-sourced info would be super helpful—thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,
Is it possible and how to get Managed Apple ID (email) programmatically for user signed in to ipad through shared IPad feature ?
It would be good to have MDM independent solution, I mean API call to MDM service is not acceptable for us.
Maybe API call to ASM or ABM, or get that somehow on iOS device end... any advice ?
Thanks in advance,
Dima

We have several apps that our business uses to connect to internal private HTTP sites. We noticed in IOS 18.3 we are getting SSL errors to the web server and noticed the issue in the Chrome Browser as well. Our team is looking at the Application Transport Security layer exceptions in our apps Info.Plist. We do notice the browser forcing HTTPS. Any insight on what could be the issue?
Hi team,
We need to identify the domains used by macOS Software Update so they can be bypassed by our NETransparentProxy. The Apple support article below lists Software Update and several other Apple service domains.
At the moment we’re unsure whether we should only bypass the Software Update and Beta Software domains, or whether we also need to bypass domains used for certificate validation, device management (Apple Business Manager / Apple School Manager / Apple Business Essentials), network provider updates, Apple Diagnostics, etc.
We also need the specific IP ranges used exclusively by Software Update. The document shows Apple’s entire IP range; for IPv4 you can allow outbound connections to 17.0.0.0/8.

After applying the MDM camera restriction on iOS 26.1 beta 2, the camera availability status is reported incorrectly.
After applying the MDM camera restriction
[UIImagePickerController isSourceTypeAvailable:UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera] return YES
How can we receive the iPadOS 18.6.1 update on an iPad? We have configured the MDM update days policy to receive recent, but not the latest, iPadOS updates; however, we are only able to get versions 18.6.2 and 18.6. Is the availability of iPadOS updates dependent on the iPad's region?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

We are currently working on a SCEP server implementation that operates in FIPS-approved mode. In this mode, RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 encryption is disallowed due to compliance requirements, and only FIPS-approved padding schemes such as RSA-OAEP are permitted.
However, we have observed that the SCEP client functionality on Apple devices currently does not support RSA-OAEP for CMS EnvelopedData decryption. This creates a challenge for us in ensuring FIPS compliance while maintaining compatibility with Apple devices during certificate enrollment through SCEP.
We would appreciate your guidance on the following:
Are there any alternative FIPS-approved encryption algorithms or configurations supported by Apple devices for SCEP CMS EnvelopedData decryption?
Is there any plan or timeline for future support of RSA-OAEP on Apple platforms for this use case?

Hello,
I have an Apple Developer Enterprise account, and Apple Support has already enabled MDM for my account. I successfully downloaded and installed my MDM Vendor Certificate (it shows up in Keychain as MDM Vendor: [My Company Name] with its private key).
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Exported the Vendor Certificate + private key as a .p12, then converted to .pem and .key using OpenSSL.
Generated an unsigned CSR with CN=com.apple.mgmt.External. using OpenSSL.
Attempted to sign the CSR using:
my Vendor certificate
the Vendor private key
Apple Worldwide Developer Relations (WWDR) intermediate certificate
OpenSSL smime -sign command with DER output
Problem:
Every time I try to upload the vendor-signed CSR to the Apple Push Certificates Portal, I get an error (CSR rejected).
Sometimes OpenSSL even fails with “unable to load certificates” depending on how the WWDR certificate is included.
My Questions:
What is the correct OpenSSL command and certificate chain Apple expects for signing the CSR?
Do I need to include any additional intermediates besides WWDR?
Is there an official Apple reference example for generating the vendor-signed CSR that the Push Certificates Portal will accept?
Any guidance from the community (or someone who has successfully done this end-to-end) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Sergio Sanchez
