Missing privacy manifest
Hi, The email attached states that we need to add GoogleToolboxForMac's missing privacy manifest. I received the attached report after running my app privacy report, however it is different and does not include GoogleToolboxForMac. I'm not sure if we need to add the privacy manifest for GoogleToolboxForMac alone or for both of them. If yes, what should I put in my privacy manifest for GoogleToolboxForMac? IS IT BELOW CODE NEED TO ADD IN PRIVACY MANIFEST OR IS IT BELOW CODE NEED TO ADD IN PRIVACY MANIFEST Please reply ASAP Regards, Viharshitha

HTTPS Connection Issues Following iOS 26 Beta 6 Update
Hi. We are writing to report a critical issue we've encountered following the recent release of iOS 26 beta 6. After updating our test devices, we discovered that our application is no longer able to establish HTTPS connections to several of our managed FQDNs. This issue was not present in beta 5 and appears to be a direct result of changes introduced in beta 6. The specific FQDNs that are currently unreachable are: d.socdm.com i.socdm.com tg.scodm.com We have reviewed the official iOS & iPadOS 26 Beta 6 Release Notes, particularly the updates related to TLS. While the notes mention changes, we have confirmed that our servers for all affected FQDNs support TLS 1.2, so we believe they should still be compliant. We have also investigated several of Apple's support documents regarding TLS connection requirements (e.g., HT214774, HT214041), but the information does not seem to apply to our situation, and we are currently unable to identify the root cause of this connection failure. https://support.apple.com/en-us/102028 https://support.apple.com/en-us/103214 Although we hope this issue might be resolved in beta 7 or later, the official release is fast approaching, and this has become a critical concern for us. Could you please provide any advice or insight into what might be causing this issue? Any guidance on potential changes in the networking or security frameworks in beta 6 that could affect TLS connections would be greatly appreciated. We have attached the relevant code snippet that triggers the error, along with the corresponding Xcode logs, for your review. Thank you for your time and assistance. #import "ViewController.h" @interface ViewController () @end @implementation ViewController - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"https://i.socdm.com/sdk/js/adg-script-loader-b-stg.js"]; NSMutableURLRequest *req = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL:url cachePolicy:NSURLRequestReloadIgnoringLocalCacheData timeoutInterval:30.0]; [self sendWithRequest:req completionHandler:^(NSData *_Nullable data, NSHTTPURLResponse *_Nonnull response, NSError *_Nullable error) { if (error){ NSLog(@"Error occurred: %@", error.localizedDescription); return; }else{ NSLog(@"Success! Yubikey Authentication iPad/iOS26
Hey all, Question for the masses.... Does the Yubikey authentication have a OS dependency and it only works with a stable, public OS? Does Azure/Okta/Yubikey beta OS26? My CEO installed iPadOS 26 on his iPad and was not able to authenticate via Yubikey into our company environment. I ran the same scenario on my iPad using iPadOS 26 and I had the same results. Downgrading to iPAdOS doesn't pose these issues. I'm assuming something isn't fine-tuned yet?

Remove Tracking from App
Hello I have an app that uses the user's Device ID for tracking purposes. I have since removed all ads and tracking. I am now in a difficult position because I cannot turn off Device ID Tracking from App Privacy. The current app version has this on and contains the framework for turning it on. If I try to submit an app without Tracking, it gets rejected with the message "The app uses the AppTrackingTransparency framework, but we are unable to locate the App Tracking Transparency permission request when reviewed on iOS 18.0." So, I am now stuck. I cannot turn off Device Tracking in App Privacy because my app previously had tracking. I cannot remove the framework for Tracking because App Privacy has tracking on. How can I proceed to remove all tracking traces from my app? Jake

Command Line Tool doesn't trigger permission prompt for audio recording
Hello, I'm developing a Command Line Tool in XCode, in order to capture system audio and save it to a file, which will then be used by a separate process. Everything works perfectly when running it from either XCode or the native terminal application (see image below), but as soon as I try to run it from any 3rd party application, it doesn't ask for permissions to record sound, and the resultant file ends up soundless. When archiving it and then running it from other 3rd party applications, e.g Warp (terminal) or spawning it as a child process from a bundled Electron application, it doesn't ask for permissions. Things of note: I've codesigned the application with "Developer ID Application" I've added NSAudioCaptureUsageDescriptionto Info.plist I've included Info.plist in the binary (see image below) I've added the com.apple.security.device.audio-input entitlement I've used the following resources as inspiration: https://github.com/insidegui/AudioCap https://developer.apple.com/documentation/coreaudio/capturing-system-audio-with-core-audio-taps As my use-case involves spawning the executable from Electron as a child process, I've tried to include the appropriate permissions to the parent application too, without success. I'm really at a loss here, it feels like I've tried everything. Any pointers are much appreciated! Thanks

macOS Gatekeeper gatekeeping text files?
I have something with a new individual on my team I've never seen before. They checked out our code repository from git and now anytime they try to open a .json file that is legitimately just a text file, GateKeeper tells them it cannot verify the integrity of this file and offers to have them throw this file away. I've seen this with binaries, and that makes sense. I removed the com.apple.quarantine extended attribute from all executable files in our source tree, but I've never seen GateKeeper prompt on text files. I could remove the extended attribute from all files in our source tree, but I fear the next time he pulls from git he'll get new ones flagged. Is there someway around this? I've never personally seen GateKeeper blocking text files.

Publishing an app with the correct privacy settings
I am a new developer working to publish an app that includes a location tracker but does not collect user location data. I lam developing my app using Thunkable. My initial submission was rejected because opening the app triggered the error message: "This app is missing "NUserTrackingDescription so tracking transparency will fail. Ensure that this key exists in app's info.plist" However when I add in the NUserTrackingDescription it triggers a process by which I have to notify users that their location data is being collected, which is not the case. I am looking for advice on how to re-submit my app with the correct privacy settings that do not trigger the error message received previously.

"Not authorized to send Apple events to Finder"
Hi, We are trying to open an application "xyz.app" It worked fine until 15.1.1 versions. But facing issues with 15.2 and 15.3 The application is working fine when we navigate to xyz.app/Contents/MacOS/ and run applet in this directory. But the error ""Not authorized to send Apple events to Finder"" occurs when we are trying to open the app directly. Could someone please help me understand what might be causing this issue and how to resolve it?

Enquiry about the Apple DeviceCheck service
Recently, we received an user enquiry regarding the inability to perform bookings for the app. After investigation, we found that the issue appears to be caused by the failure of the Apple DeviceCheck service. Based on our checks, approximately 0.01% of requests fail each day (e.g., on 26 June: 6 failures out of 44,544 requests) when using Apple DeviceCheck. Could you please assist in raising the following enquiries with Apple Support? What is the typical failure rate of Apple DeviceCheck? Are there any reliability metrics or benchmarks for its performance? How can the failures be prevented, or is there a recommended retry mechanism to handle such failures? Does the iOS version affect the performance or reliability of Apple DeviceCheck? Are there known issues or limitations with specific iOS versions? How long does the token remain valid, and when should a new one be retrieved? Does using a jailbroken device affect the functionality of Apple DeviceCheck?

Apple Sign In "Sign up not completed" Error
Apple Sign In - "Sign up not completed" Error in Development Build (React Native / Expo) Problem Summary I'm implementing Apple Sign In in a React Native app using expo-apple-authentication. The Apple sign-in dialog appears as expected, but after tapping "Continue," it displays the message: "Sign up not completed". No credential is returned, and the promise eventually rejects with ERR_REQUEST_CANCELED. App Configuration Platform: React Native (Expo SDK 52) Library: expo-apple-authentication v7.1.3 Target: iOS development build (not Expo Go) Bundle ID: com.example.appname.nativetest (new App ID created for testing) Apple Developer Console Setup (Reviewed Carefully) App ID Explicit App ID (not a wildcard) "Sign In with Apple" capability enabled No associated Services IDs or Sign In with Apple Keys Provisioning Profile Development profile created for the test App ID Profile includes the test device and development certificate Installed successfully and used to sign the app Certificates and Signing Valid Apple Developer Program membership Development certificate installed and selected during build App installs and launches properly on the test device Implementation Attempts Attempt 1: Supabase OAuth Method Initially tried using Supabase’s built-in Apple OAuth provider: Configured with team ID, key ID, and JWT credentials Proper redirect URLs and scheme were in place Resulted in OAuth URL pointing to Supabase instead of Apple, with incomplete client ID Ultimately moved to native implementation for improved control and reliability Attempt 2: Native Apple Sign In (Current Approach) Using expo-apple-authentication with the following code: const credential = await AppleAuthentication.signInAsync({ requestedScopes: [ AppleAuthentication.AppleAuthenticationScope.FULL_NAME, AppleAuthentication.AppleAuthenticationScope.EMAIL, ], }); Relevant app.config.js Section: ios: { bundleIdentifier: 'com.example.appname.nativetest', usesAppleSignIn: true, infoPlist: { NSAppTransportSecurity: { NSAllowsArbitraryLoads: true, NSAllowsLocalNetworking: true, }, }, }, plugins: ['expo-apple-authentication'] Observed Behavior AppleAuthentication.isAvailableAsync() → true Credential state → NOT_FOUND (expected for new user) Apple Sign In dialog appears and allows interaction User taps "Continue" → dialog reports "Sign up not completed" Eventually returns: [Error: The user canceled the authorization attempt], code ERR_REQUEST_CANCELED Confirmed Working Aspects AppleAuthentication API is available and initialized App is signed correctly and launches on the physical test device Apple Sign In dialog appears with correct styling and options Same result observed across both Wi-Fi and cellular networks Clean Setup and Debugging Performed Removed all previous build artifacts Created a new App ID and new provisioning profile Rebuilt the app using expo run:ios --device Validated entitlements and provisioning assignments Removed any Services IDs and Apple Sign In keys used in previous attempts Verified ATS (App Transport Security) policies allow dev-time communication Environment Information Device: iPhone (not simulator) iOS Version: 18.5 Xcode: Latest version Apple ID: Developer account with 2FA enabled Build Method: EAS CLI using expo run:ios --device Open Questions Has anyone experienced the "Sign up not completed" issue with a clean native implementation in Expo? Are there known limitations when testing Apple Sign In in local development builds? Could prior Apple ID authorization attempts impact sign-in behavior during testing? Are there any additional configuration steps, Info.plist changes, or entitlements required beyond those listed above? Thank you in advance for any suggestions or guidance. We’re hoping this is simply a configuration detail that needs to be adjusted.

DCDevice.current.generateToken Is it safe to cache tokens for less than 1s ?
We have a crash on DCDevice.current.isSupported We want to try to make a serial queue to generate tokens but the side effect would be the same token would be used on multiple server API requests that are made within a few ms of each other? Is this safe or will the Apple server immediately reject the same token being reused? Can you share how long tokens are safe to use for? Here is the code we want to try final actor DeviceTokenController: NSObject { static var shared: DeviceTokenController = .init() private var tokenGenerationTask: Task<Data?, Never>? var ephemeralDeviceToken: Data? { get async { // Re-using the token for short periods of time if let existingTask = tokenGenerationTask { return await existingTask.value } let task = Task<Data?, Never> { guard DCDevice.current.isSupported else { return nil } do { return try await DCDevice.current.generateToken() } catch { Log("Failed to generate ephemeral device token", error) return nil } } tokenGenerationTask = task let result = await task.value tokenGenerationTask = nil return result } } }

"Sign Up Not Completed" Error When Using Sign In with Apple on Real Device
Hello, I'm developing an iOS app that includes a Sign In with Apple feature. I’ve completed the following setup steps: Enabled Sign In with Apple for the app’s Bundle ID in the Apple Developer Console. Added Sign In with Apple capability in Xcode under Signing & Capabilities. Tested the feature on a real device, not a simulator. Registered the real device ID in the Developer Console just in case any hidden permission issues exist. Despite following all the necessary steps (and even using the official Apple sample code) the Sign In bottom sheet displays a "Sign Up Not Completed" message. Unfortunately, I don’t receive any further error details to help diagnose the issue. After searching through StackOverflow and this forum, I came across posts suggesting that the feature might take up to 48 hours to become active after setup. Is this still the case in 2025? Or is there something I might be missing? For additional context: other features such as APNs (Push Notifications) are working as expected. Thank you in advance for any help or insight!

Impact of SIWA App transfer on migration on relay emails
Hello, we're currently evaluating the side effects of transferring our app to a different Apple developer account. Our users use SIWA to sign in to our platform which uses Auth0. As I understand it, the identifiers provided by Apple will change, and as such Auth0 will not recognise them and treat them as new users. I've read conflicting documentation, reports, discussions, etc, so it would be great if I could get some clarification on the topic. Furthermore we're concerned about the Hide My Email functionality. A lot of our users use this feature. Will the relay email for each user change with the transfer? If so, does the 'old' relay email stop working as soon as the transfer happens? Thanks in advance!

Apple ID and App Store Connect account randomly locked
Friday we were preparing to publish our final build in TestFlight. Our developer informed me that the account holder had to agree to new terms and agreements. I am the sole user of this account, and tried to login (1 week ago I was still able to login). To my surprise I got the notification “account locked”, ”you need to reset your password”. I followed the required step: filling in the phone number on file (which is my phone number). After filling this in the page informed me that they’d get back to me in 1 day. On Saturday I received an email from no_reply@apple with the following “We have received the request for access to your account and we have denied access.” There was no further information in the email why this would be. I tried Apple support but they tell me they can not reactivate the account and I should apply for a new Apple ID. This sounds really strange as it would mean I would lose access to our currently published application forever? But in general I am just shocked how they can deny access to an account, which is even a paid one (Developer Program), and not help me out. I am able to supply all identification (passport). I have access to the email that we use to login. I have access to the mobile phone number that is connected for exactly this reason (two factor authentication). Anyone with similar experience and/or solutions?

AutoFill Unavailable - The developer needs to update it to work with this feature.
I have had a password autofill app extension in production for years. It still works fine. Except when the user taps a username or password textfield and selects "AutoFill" from the context menu. They are shown a modal error dialog, stating: "AutoFill Unavailable - The developer needs to update it to work with this feature." I cannot find any help on this issue. The AutoFill extension works fine when tapping the "Passwords" bar above the iOS keyboard. Any pointers would be appreciated.
