Resolving access issues

If you’re experiencing issues accessing certain features with your Apple Account on the Apple Developer website, it may be due to one of the following:

Your account may not have access privileges

Verify your developer account type and check if it has access privileges to the specific resource you’re trying to access. For example, you’ll need to be an Apple Developer Program member in order to use Xcode Cloud.

Your current role may not have access privileges

If you’re part of an organization enrolled in a developer program, verify your role in your account page. The role you’ve been assigned determines access to resources included with your membership. For more details, view Roles and access. To update your role, you’ll need to contact your team’s Account Holder or Admin.

You’re using a Managed Apple Account

By default, Managed Apple Accounts don’t have access to developer program resources. If you’re using a Managed Apple Account, your organization will need to grant your access in Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager.

An updated agreement needs to be accepted

If your Account Holder doesn’t accept the updated terms of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement within the timeframe specified, access to certain membership resources will be paused for all team members. This means you won’t be able to access many program features, including:

  • Software downloads that require program membership
  • Xcode automatic signing
  • Xcode Cloud
  • Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles
  • Apps and Analytics in App Store Connect
  • App Store Connect API
  • TestFlight
  • Apple notary service for Mac software

Apple will notify the Account Holder via email regarding the deadline for accepting the agreement. This deadline is also available on your developer account page.

Your Apple Developer Program membership has expired

If your membership expires, you won’t be able to access many program features, including:

  • Software downloads that require program membership
  • Xcode automatic signing
  • Xcode Cloud
  • Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles
  • Apps and Analytics in App Store Connect
  • App Store Connect API
  • TestFlight
  • Apple notary service for Mac software

Important: If you have apps and In-App Purchases on the App Store, they’ll become unavailable in all storefronts if your membership expires. Apps currently on customer devices will remain installed.

To regain access and restore your apps’ availability, your Account Holder will need to renew your membership.

Your Apple Developer Enterprise Program membership has expired

If your membership expires, you won’t be able to access many program features, including:

  • Software downloads that require program membership
  • Xcode automatic signing
  • Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles
  • Enterprise API
  • Apple notary service for Mac software

To regain access and restore your apps’ availability, your Account Holder will need to renew your membership.

Forgot your Apple Account password

The easiest way to reset your password is with your iPhone or other trusted Apple device — one that’s already signed in to your Apple Account. If you don’t have a trusted device set up, you can reset your password on the web to regain access to your account.
