smb big sur

I have two MacBook Airs, one running Catalina and one running Big Sur. The look and feel and functionality of Big Sur is markedly inferior to Big Sur, in my opinion. The graphics seem to have been dug up from the early days of GUI and I feel like most everything I try to do in Big Sur would have been easier in Catalina. I don't recommend upgrading to Big Sur unless absolutely necessary for some software-mandated purpose. I hope Apple endeavor to bring back the cleaner interface and functionality we enjoyed with Catalina in their next upgrade. Thanks!

Will Big Sur be available for IMac's bought in 2013?

I am running a MacBook Air mid 2013, i5 1.3 Ghz 2core, 4GB RAM, 500 GB ssd The machine is eligible to run Big Sur and I upgraded from Mojave to Big Sur. But...!! The performance went through the bottom. I can't work with this any more and I have to scale down to Mojave again However that platform is also not the fastest in the world. Could any one advise me please, other than scale back?

I am running Big Sur beta 10. after upgrading my system to Big Sur, I lost the ability to connect to existing smb shares on both my windows server and linux RPI machines. Is there a work-around or an ETA when this might be restored? I have tried the usual Connect to a server method and and the cli smb mount method. Thanks

Hey! I have a 2020 Macbook Pro and I decided to install Big Sur yesterday. The entire night, my laptop has still been in the black screen with apple logo. So... I don’t know what to do. HELP?

Big Sur is horrible. Slowest operating system ever, and it's compatible with exactly NOTHING. Can't use my 3D mouse, or either printer.

Since I upgraded to Big Sur, I may as well jus throw my iMac away in the bin. FCPX is taking over 20mins to render a short 4 seconds clip. The whole system is low and constantly lagging. How do I downgrade back to the old os?
