Reply to App review with different authentication system
Your issue is guideline 5.1.1 (v):5.1.1 (v) Account Sign-In: If your app doesn’t include significant account-based features, let people use it without a log-in. Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law.In the notes to App Review explain why the app needs an identification number with a generated password by a governmental entity (and) requires as well an email or phone confirmation to be able to login in the app.It might also help your chances of approval if the app opened and did something a little useful for the general public user without requiring the log in. If an authorized user then logged in the app would do much more.

5.1.1(x) - How does Apple expect us to support user accounts without contact details?
This is a massive clause change and it doesn't seem like enough people are discussing this as the update to the the anti-steering clause is the hotter topic (with everyone forgetting that its no longer of any benefit to them if users don't give you their email addresses anyway). Apps may request basic contact information (such as name and email address) so long as the request is optional for the user, features and services are not conditional on providing the information, and it complies with all other provisions of these guidelines, including limitations on collecting information from kids.” Ok. So now, if my app has account based features, they would need to register. If they register, if we don't use a phone number or email address, we would have to use a unique identifier. So ok, let's use a unique identifier. Now, that user forgets their password. Well, good luck to you, you didn't give us your email or number, so we can't verify that it was you who created the account. Like how Reddit does it. Ecommerce

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage The app requires users to register or log in to access features that are not account based.
Hello, My app has gotten rejected because of guideline 5.1.1. My app required an account and a subscription to be used. Can someone please let me know how they were able to get approved? Would adding Apple sign in work? Would letting the user browse the empty app work? They cant of anything without a subscription so I don’t know why this is getting declined. I’ve asked if any of them would comply but the reviewer says they won’t offer any suggestions on app design, when that wasn’t the question. I just wanted to know if anything would make the app comply before I waste my time implementing anything.

Hello Apple. My app rejected with reason - The app must be published under a seller and company name that is associated with the organization or company providing the services. In this case, your app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the APPNAME name. My APPNAME diffrent than company name. How can i solve it?

Reply to Asking for gender issue
Hello Claude,This is the mesage I got:Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and StorageWe noticed that your app requires users to register with personal information that is not directly relevant to your app’s core functionality.Specifically, gender is not an optional field in your app’s registration.Do you think if we do the things mentioned above, our binary will be accepted?

Reply to Can I create and submit an app that will be retro-compatible from iOS 5 to iOS 11?
The old iPads have to be running iOS 5.1.1 or later, as only those iOS versions include support for apps containing 64-bit slices. And Apple now requires submitted apps to include 64-bit support. Apps built with earlier versions of Xcode run just fine on iOS 11 devices as long as they include 64-bit support (an arm64 slice). IIRC, Xcode 5.1 or 6.x can build apps compatible with both iOS 5.1.1 and 64-bit iOS 11 devices. You can have multiple versions of Xcode installed on your Mac (or you may need to use an older Mac running a older release of OS X), and use the newer releases of Xcode to install test apps built with older releases on newer devices.

App Store Rejection: Camera Access Message (Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage)
Apple blocked an update for a personal database app citing the 5.1.1 guideline. The permission alert message (Purpose String) was not changed but the latest update got multiple rejections because of it.### WorkflowUser taps on an Add Picture button, and if the user specify Camera from an action sheet of sources (e.g. Photo Library, Paste from Clipboard), the app then tries to access the camera, and causes iOS to display a permission request alert. ### Permission Request AlertHere is the iOS standard alert **title**:> [AppName] Would Like to Access the CameraThe initially approved developer-supplied **message** (Purpose String):> Camera will be used to take pictures to store in [AppName].-> Rejected.> Camera will be used to take pictures so that you can store them in [AppName].-> Rejected again. We did look at Apple's docs and also asked Apple for recommendations, but they just kept saying that the alert needs *to specify why the app is requesting access to the user's camera.*### Othe

Reply to Sign in with Apple and backend account deletion
Yes, we have the same issue, this seems to be a broken flow by Apple to be honest. And the new guideline 5.1.1 to start the enforcement January 31th 2022 says that you have to delete the user account if the user wish, but if you do a fully delete data of the user and the user laters on wants to use the application again, the user full name won't be given to you again.
